There goes Frankly Frank walking away after his show. Parting is such sweet sorrow.

I have never heard of Alexis Park Resort that is located across from Virgin Hotel. It's like a small resort with no casino. It's quiet and you will need a car to get here to see a night show. It is a 20 minute walk to the Las Vegas strip. I was introduced to Carpenters Legacy at the live Dennis Bono show at the SouthPoint Casino and Spa. I felt they were every good and looked like the originals. The Carpenters songs are timeless. So I booked tickets for the Carpenter Legacy on Groupon so I save some money there! Yah! :) Cha-Ching! Free parking scored! Main lobby in center of resort facing the East Harmon Street. It's clearly brightly lit, with brown leather couches in center of lobby to sit and wait. The box office is just a podium stand with one person sitting there with laptop and sign showing what shows are currently playing like Elvis's All Shook up and a night magic show. Restaurant and bar are right there. Restroom and the second theater, I forgot the name are all there in the hallway. No way you will get lost. I felt safe here. There is no sound proof theater here, so I could hear music of Elvis music coming out from one of the showrooms. As I was sitting down and waiting for my show, I saw Gary Anthony who plays Frank Sinatra for the show Frankly Frank passed me by. He chatted with some fans who saw him previously as he left out the door with his manager. I do have to hand it to these impersonators, they do look or embody the origins icon well. Finally the box office person did a call for my show, so I lined up and gave my name to the lady with clipboard and the usher seated us to the General Admission seats which were great! Nice big mirror behind us on the walls to make the room look bigger, but it was a very nice intimate, small showroom where every seat is good. The sound booth was behind me in the tiny room on the corner. Good sound. The show, Carpenters Legacy: A Christmas Portrait, starring Sally Olson as Karen Carpenter and Ned Mills as Richard Carpenter, takes the audience back in time to an old fashioned Christmas. The show recreates the nostalgia of the Carpenters' 1977 and 1978 Christmas TV Specials. If you are a fan of the Carpenters, then you have to watch this show. I wished Karen Carpenter didn't die in real life, she and her bother were great musical team. Sad that music executives made her die with anorexia by saying she was fat. All those music big wigs just cared more about money than the performers health and happiness. All in all great shows At this Showroom and I recommend people to see shows here. Nice and quiet crowd without big crowds and sounds of evil slot machines!

Review #27 of 2023 May 31 visit 5 P.M. show (approximately a one hour event) Our server handled our drink and children drink orders on point. I had an Alaskan Amber, wife had Raspberry Iced tea, children had Shirley Temples and water. [No food was available for order at the Pegasus lounge.] regardless, Erin FTWin! Gary Anthony channels and exudes Frank Sinatra extremely well. Wether you get VIP seats up front, or booths in the back, it's an intimate experience. Mix in some clean humor, his life experience growing up with his father Sinatras orchestra, well placed stage props and you have a great show! Although there is no dress code, there should be. I regretted not wearing a suit and tie based off of the ambiance at this retro joint. Make it a point to see this show if you're in the area. This is a once in a lifetime experience that you have to witness.

The Pegasus plays a dual roll at the Alexis Park. There's the Pegasus Bar and Lounge and the Pegasus Showroom which is adjacent to the lounge. I came here for a show called "Carpenters Legacy" with songs from Karen and Richard Carpenter from mostly the 70s. The roles were played by Sally Olson & Ned Mills. I don't consider this an impersonation but rather a tribute show. As far as the Pegasus Showroom is concerned, it is a small venue with acts that are sometimes performing here looking for a break to get on the Strip. The show room is on two levels--some VIP booths across the back. Mostly, the rest of the room consists of standard round cocktail tables with four chairs each and there are some single chairs not at tables in three areas. Cocktail service was fast and cordial. You can also bring drinks from the bar with you. I have been to I have been to nine shows in the showroom and while the shows may differ in quality, the venue is a good spot for a small scale show. Good sight lines wherever you are and very good sound.

The general admission seats without tables and behind our table. They are lined up against the back wall/mirror.

Tonight we were entertained by a Neil Diamond tribute show. The show is at the Pegasus Theater which is located in the Alexis Park All Suite Resort. This "resort" is not on the strip and was accessible either by freeway or back streets which is the way we chose due to the show time which was 7 pm. Just didn't want to deal with work traffic on the freeway. My first impression of the resort was "iffy". Definitely not has lush sounding from descriptions I read for the show, but I wasn't there to stay which is have to say I never will be. I have to say the parking is free and that is huge in Vegas where most places charge now. That we were grateful for! We had to wait an hour before show time since we arrived early which was our plan to walk around since the lush oasis description enticed us. Well the grounds are maintained and it's a large, long paved sidewalk to stroll to kill time. Lots of hotel units and some looked like people live there full time. The exterior of all units looked pretty old and a way to do Vegas on somewhat of a budget. They have a main pool which was closed for the season and two other smaller pools that were open. I needed to use the restroom located in the main lobby before the show which had just been cleaned. Funny thing, of course besides the fact the facilities looked very old, the toilets were all crooked and a tight squeeze between the toilet and the door opening. Sitting down was odd due to them being crooked. They do have a bar/grill and a restaurant but we ate somewhere else. Our tickets for the show were general admission at $37.95 each + $20.50 ticket service fee (really?!) for a total of $96.40. I am definitely am glad we didn't pay for booths or in the area in front of the stage. The show wasn't worth that kind of money. Our seats were off to the side on a bit of a raised platform. Sat kind of sideways, but it wasn't awkward positioning (see pics). Great view of the stage and the entertainer (see pics). For our price, our actual chairs were padded but not contoured like the more expensive seats in front of the stage (again see pics). Our seats had a round table with 4 chairs per table and other general admission tickets were lined up against the side wall with no table but next to each other. And in the more expensive area in the front portion of the stage I noticed some of those chairs also were lined up next to each other with no table. We each bought a drink, mine the Disco Lemonade and my husband's was the Pain Killer. Each were made very yummy! And for the price of the drinks, we felt they were worth it (looks at pic of drinks for prices) plus add taxes and tip. The gal who took our order was kind and helpful when asked what she thought of the Disco Lemonade. It was spot on! The entertainer was definitely on the older side and told stories about Neil or the song in between some songs, there were TVs on both sides of the stage which played actual footage of Neil Diamond's concerts among other things. We enjoyed seeing it. Apparently this entertainer had been a Neil fan as a child and has been "doing" Neil for 28 years. He was good not great as we've heard a Neil Tribute during one of our free summer concerts on the green that was free and wayyyy better than this one. But we thought we'd give it a shot since we had some time before heading home the next day and price wasn't too expensive. However in my mind, I thought it would have to be much better since I'm paying for the show. Unfortunately it wasn't. Although we did somewhat enjoy it. We both were impressed with the woman drummer. She was great and fun to watch. So a drummer, a keyboardist and the singer. Maybe not the greatest, but heck gotta love him as I know I couldn't do it. There was at times a disco ball that came on, the sound system was good but not overkill since the theater is on the small side. He got the audience involved and came off the stage to shake hands while singing. Just don't expect amazing and you won't be disappointed. Any seat chosen is a good view just depends on your chair preferences. The theater seemed clean and the staff were friendly but maybe could have been a bit more. Also while our concert was going on, I think there may have been another one either playing in the theater next to ours or just finishing, but you couldn't hear it. Just once in a while when our entertainer would stop, but then again it was very faint. The concert was about 70 min long. Hope this review helps.

    Frankly Frank!

What fun! Stopped in for Frankly Frank and it was SO good. Highly recommend! Not a bad seat in the house, music sounded great, and the show was very entertaining. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area for sure!

What a beautiful and unique chandelier.

Throughout our meal she stayed attentive. I ordered the full GRAND COBB SALAD with chicken, bacon, avocado, tomatoes, bleu cheese, and grated egg. Boy oh boy was it good! Fresh ingredients with the delicious and tangy Roasted Tomato Vinaigrette on the side (my request)! It's enough for 2 meals. The sourdough bread in a basket fulfilled my craving for a carb. Warm and cut into thick slices with butter on the side paired well with the salad.

Seating was quick, water refills infrequent, service checked in often until food dropped. Compatriots had ordered a double smash cheeseburger and a southwest chicken salad. I had gotten the slow roasted beets, and the house green salad. Nothing really wowed in this case. I'd say I like the fries and the slow roasted beets. The cream sauce balanced the beets well with occasional nuts for texture. The house green salad was more lettuce than anything else. The southwest chicken salad, the meat was a bit dry. Still was an easy meal and simple to plan around. Worked well in a pinch.

So I ducked into Black Tap at the Venetian after seeing a Wagyu burger on the menu. Being a lifelong space cadet in both profession (in my 23rd year at NASA,) and mental inclination (no comment,) I'd totally forgotten that I had a hard-and-fast obligation I needed to get to, stat - after having already ordered the Wagyu burger - so I asked the stunning waitress if I could change it to a "to go" order. The staff did not miss a beat, and a done-deal without a single hiccup and I was outta there. I did not have time to eat it so I had no choice but to actually let it sit in the hotel room getting cold - *gasp* - until I could get back to it. Sacrilege, I know, but... no choice. But even eaten cold (thanks TI for no microwaves in the rooms - though microwaves tend to kill flavor so maybe a good thing anyway,) it was seriously tasty and... a tantalizing draw. So the very next day I went back with no obligation hanging over me, and had the exact same thing, this time nice and fresh and hot. And it was, in a word: Sublime. - Cooked to perfection; - Juicy as small-town gossip; - Exploding with flavor in every direction like a Tears of Tragedy guitar solo; - And from a guy who grew up eating hamburgers that were walking around the pasture just a few days earlier, I can tell you with zero exaggeration that this is some truly righteous, farm-fresh beef. On another visit to Black Tap I sampled their chicken nachos - being a gym-rat, nachos are something I hadn't had in years but... it's Vegas and therefore WTH. And that - their nachos with chicken - is another to-die-for thing these people do absolutely excellently. So now I'm back in LA and Jonesin' in a big, big way and... they've got a location down at Disneyland. A bit of a drive but I'm thinking I could be a regular. Folks, if you're looking for some brews and some truly righteous food done excellently, look for this place. Not to be missed.

These host was sensitive to our time restriction. When I looked at the menu the pricing seemed very reasonable for a strip casino. We ordered three things, the chicken nachos, chicken fingers and the Golden Knights shake. Our server Tony was amazing! The chicken nachos were piled high with cheese chicken sour cream, a spicy sauce and everything was made fresh. The chicken singers were obviously homemade as the coding was extremely tasty . The chicken was cooked to perfection. The only thing that caused them to lose points is that they shake was serve served with our food so we had to eat it pretty quickly. I really liked the combination of the caramel, whipped cream, ice cream and black and gold sprinkle sprinkles. The hockey puck which was made out of cake and chocolate fudge was extremely delicious! I really loved that it was not very sweet! I can't wait to come back and try the other items on the menu and it's a wonderful place for a quick bite and good for families.
