Lovely little diner about an hour out of Vegas bear the AZ border. Prices were reasonable and the food portions very generous. Each omelet came with toast and choice of potatoes or cottage cheese or tomatoes. The service was fast and friendly. A nice stop to fill your belly.

We stopped by Peggy Sue's for breakfast, and it was a fun and satisfying way to start the day. The diner has that classic 1950s Americana feel with retro décor, vintage touches, and oldies music that instantly sets a relaxed, nostalgic vibe. The breakfast options were hearty and flavorful, with generous portions that felt like great value for the price. Everything came out just the way you'd expect from a classic diner breakfast. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and even though the place can get busy--especially on weekend mornings--the service kept that upbeat, old-school diner energy. Overall, the nostalgic atmosphere is a big part of what makes Peggy Sue's special. It's more than just a meal--it feels like stepping into a little time capsule, and it's definitely worth a stop if you're in Mesquite.

My wife and I ordered bacon cheeseburger and fish and chips. Food was good. Everyone was nice. Service was great typical diner with lots of options, nothing too fancy but a nice place to sit down and eat.

Always great service. The food is seasoned well. We're here every Sunday and cannot say enough good things about this place. Georgette is always our waitress and does a fantastic job.

We were visiting family in Mesquite NV and went to Peggy Sue's for breakfast. Cute 50s theme diner. I got the 2 eggs with ham and my husband got 2 eggs with sausage Pattie's and both got coffee. Everything was just fine.

Visited Peggy Sue's Diner and had a great experience. The food was really good, and the milkshakes were especially delicious. It did take a little longer to get our food, but the place was packed and clearly very busy, which is always a good sign. The wait was worth it, and everything came out fresh and tasty. Definitely a spot I'd recommend if you're craving classic diner food.

Very yummy food. Great service. Cute atmosphere here. Lots of Marilyn. Were had Bacon, eggs and pancakes. Chili Verde omelette, very cheese, love the sauce. A pastrami, on rye, mushrooms, and the best fries, very.

Our first time here and everything was good. Service was outstanding! It wasn't busy, but our food came out super fast. The french dip was good, but I wouldn't order the onion rings again. Too much batter and not enough onion and there was an up charge of $3.00. The reuben and french fries were good. We travel a lot between Utah and Nevada so we would go back.

Such a cute spot! The food tasted homemade yesss real eggs! and everything was fresh and delicious. The service was amazing--Danielle was an absolute sweetheart. The staff fully commit to the diner vibe, which makes the experience even more fun. First visit and definitely not my last!

When we walked in, there was a couple ahead of us, and the two female employees were patiently going over the menu with them. When it was our turn, the employee at the register whispered something to her coworker while staring at my husband and me. She then continued to stare at us without saying anything, which immediately made us uncomfortable. When she finally asked how many were in our party, my husband replied "3," and she responded by saying, "You guys don't belong here." We were shocked and uncomfortable, so we turned around and walked away. As we were leaving, the coworker next to her--who I assume was a manager, dressed in black--and an older woman in a red uniform yelled after us saying, "She was just playing." Regardless of whether it was meant as a joke, it was completely inappropriate and unprofessional. We never even got the chance to sit down or order. I can't say for certain what motivated the behavior, but as a Hispanic family being treated differently than the customers before us, it definitely felt upsetting and concerning. This was a very disappointing experience, and I hope no one else has to go through something like this.

This visit, driving back to LA from Monument Valley. Also made a pit stop for gas. The location is just off the freeway in a little strip with a hotel. Which I've stayed at and tried this place for the first time. It's alway packed here so it's a good thing for them. It was about 30 minutes wait when we walked in but got seated around 10 minutes later. Busy of course. Menu wise, there's literally everything on it. It's like reading a newspaper. There was three of us and a mixture of meals was had. I alway love the chicken fried steak here. It's a massive potion so be warned. There's a smaller order but why not go big. That's served with gravy, house potatoes or hash browns, eggs and biscuits. The biscuits alone is the size of a baseball. Then the tri tip meal with onion rings and cole slaw. And a chicken Cobb salad. Let me just say, the size of the salad was enough to feed 2 maybe 3 people. It was enormous. Food wise, everything was good. The only thing this time, the chicken fried steak was a bit overcooked and crunchy. Even with the gravy, it was still too much. But besides that, the meal was nice. Service was amazing. Our waitress was excellent. Don't remember her name but she was so sweet and friendly. Refills were always touched up without asking. Everyone working was a doll. You pay at the register up front where there's also a little gift shop with everything. Apparels, toys, souvenirs, slippers down to boxers and pajamas. So it's like a must each time we past through this area.

45+ Minutes in 100° Heat, Passed Over Repeatedly, Then Offered a High-Top for a Toddler…read more Our experience at George's today was so bizarre, frustrating, and poorly handled that I am still trying to understand how a restaurant could treat a family this way. We arrived as a family of three--two adults and our toddler--and were told the wait would be approximately 15-20 minutes. We were added to the waitlist and waited outside in nearly 100-degree heat. While we waited, several parties arrived AFTER us. We know this with certainty because we watched them walk in, add their names to the list, come back outside, and even chatted with some of them while we all waited. Then, one by one, those parties were called inside and seated before us. After the last of them was seated, I finally went inside and asked the front-of-house employee in the pink shirt whether we were even still on the list. She assured me we were and said we were "next." We then waited approximately another 10 minutes. By the time someone finally came for us, our supposed 15-20 minute wait had become 45-46 minutes. And somehow, that wasn't even the most baffling part. We were walked through the restaurant, past multiple empty, standard-height tables, and taken down toward the bar. We passed yet another regular four-seat table there. And then we were offered a high-top table. For two adults and a TODDLER. Our toddler had physically walked into the restaurant with us when we originally put our names on the list. There was never any ambiguity that we had a small child with us. No booster or appropriate toddler seating was offered at this high-top, either. We obviously declined. Expecting a toddler to safely sit at a high-top is not merely impractical--it creates a completely unnecessary fall and safety risk. We were then informed that if we wanted a normal table, we would need to wait another 10-15 minutes. At that point, I was genuinely stunned. We had already waited more than twice the time we were quoted. We had watched parties who arrived after us get seated ahead of us. None of those parties, to our knowledge, were forced to choose between an inappropriate high-top and an additional wait. And we could literally see empty standard tables. When we specifically asked about the empty four-person table near the bar, we were told we couldn't sit there because that server was having a very busy day and it would be another 15-20 minutes before she could take us. So let me understand this: your restaurant allowed a family with a toddler to wait outside in extreme heat for more than 45 minutes, repeatedly seated later-arriving parties ahead of them, finally brought them inside only to offer seating obviously unsuitable for a small child, and then--while empty standard tables were plainly visible--essentially told them to go wait some more? At what point does someone on staff recognize that something has gone badly wrong and attempt to fix it? There was no meaningful apology. No sense of urgency. No empathy. No attempt to problem-solve. No acknowledgment that the original 15-20 minute estimate had turned into 45+ minutes while other guests were seated ahead of us. What makes this experience even more uncomfortable is that we are a mixed-race couple. I cannot say why we were treated differently, and I am not going to make an accusation I cannot prove. But after watching multiple parties who arrived after us be seated before us, only to then be offered uniquely inappropriate seating for our family, I am left questioning why our family was treated differently. Was there some legitimate explanation that was never communicated to us? Was this simply extraordinary incompetence and poor management of the waitlist? Or was there another reason? I genuinely don't know. But the fact that your staff's handling of the situation left us even having to ask that question should concern management. We were patient. We were polite. We waited far longer than we were told we would. We stood outside with our toddler in nearly 100-degree weather and gave your staff every opportunity to make the situation right. Instead, we were met with indifference and a level of front-of-house incompetence that was astonishing. Restaurants get busy. Servers get overwhelmed. Wait estimates can be wrong. None of that explains why multiple parties arriving after us were seated first, why no one noticed or corrected it, why a family visibly accompanied by a toddler was offered a high-top, or why--after more than 45 minutes--no one seemed remotely interested in finding a reasonable solution. We ultimately didn't need special treatment. We expected competent treatment. We didn't receive it. Management should seriously review how the waitlist was handled today and speak with the front-of-house staff involved, because this was one of the most poorly managed and deeply uncomfortable restaurant experiences our family has had.
