That's the beauty of a real watering hole, it doesn't give a damn about the clock. ​You walk past the checkered wall and the painted pin-up girl on the hot rod, push through the double doors, and the damp smell of stale draft, old wood, and yesterday's sweat takes you right in the chest, this is my kinda place! It's dark in here, lit only by low neon, string lights, and a soft purple glow off the bar. The stools sit empty, high and waiting, like wooden skeletons waiting for the working stiffs and the night shift ghosts to pull up and order their first cold one. ​An early morning beer in a place like this isn't about celebrating; it's about a vacatios kickoff. You sit at that long diamond-plate bar, order a cold Bud, and watch the ice sweat down the glass. The first sip is sharp and cold enough to clear the fog out of your brain and kill whatever remorse is trying to creep in from the night before. Nobody's talking, nobody's asking questions, but there is a dog on the bar and the jukebox is blissfully quiet. It was Peggys pooch, I told her that I had three in my super van, she invited them in and we cheerfully cheered out dogs and drank some more. ​It's the last stop on Route 41, and when the rest of the world is rushing off to punch a clock, this is the only place on earth that makes any sense. A fun and friendly place. They have karaoke Wednesday, Friday & Saturday nights. Neicy, the karaoke lady keeps everything fun. And she sings beautifully. Excellent rock bands play out back. This place has a reputation as being a biker bar. I'd say it's more of a dive bar. The only bikers I saw there were from the Sons of Arthritis MC. The beer was cold and everyone was very personable. Stop in for a beer if you're thirsty. read more

Went there on a Friday night. What a dump, the restrooms are pathetic, ugly worn out bikers and people. The wait staff was totally nasty and rude. Nothing is clean or updated. This is advertised as Florida's Premier Biker Bar?? It's one of those places that are run into the ground with never an upgrade. The only good thing about the place was the band that kicked butt. OMG! If you have never experienced Peggies, you are really missing out on the ultimate and I mean ultimate redneck experience. I remember the first time I went there , we were hesitant to go in do to everything we had heard and what was going on in the parking lot. After sitting in the car and discussing it and watching for a while, we decided to go ahead and give it a try.LMAO , we definitely had no idea what we were in for. Upon entering it's pretty dark so it's kinda hard to see everything that's going on around you but, your eyes quickly adjust and you kind wonder if what you're seeing is really real. Yep, you guessed it it's all for real. The place is packed with mostly gentlemen there's some women in there me being amongst them hahahaha. We went ahead and sat at the bar and ordered a couple of cocktails and we're just kind of keeping to ourselves, laying low and speaking very very low. Before I knew it the gentleman next to me , wanted my bra. Well I guess maybe that wasn't the first time I'd ever been asked that question but inside of a bar it most definitely was the first time I've been asked that question! I decided the best way to handle the situation was just to ignore it and pray it would go away. Well no such luck. I was then asked to look up and hanging all over the inside the bar were women's bras of all shapes, colors, anything you could imagine. I guess it's kind of an initiation type thing that once you come and you take off your bra and leave it there and that's kind of there for posterity in that you can go back and remember the day you left it. I don't know, maybe a kind of a new trend. I don't know quite if I've ever seen it anywhere else or if I'll ever see it again. But, you gotta admit it is a unique perspective. We discreetly paid our bill and after a brief discussion made a beeline for the door, keys in hand and got in the car and drove away. I have to admit after the first time of experiencing Peggy Corral, we did have to return on multiple occasions and we ended up having a blast. The people that frequent Peggy are very friendly and have jokes to tell and lots and lots of stories. Will I become a regular at Peggy's? Well we won't get into that right now because, who knows maybe I'm already a regular there. Do yourself a favor, get on down to Peggy's Corral and experience it for yourself. That is the only way that you can get the full experience and completely judge it on your own. Is it a dive? Hell yes it's a dive, period would you expect it to be anything other than dive? When you first walk in it smells like an old musty bar. I was told that they had food at this place but after going there I find out that it's a food truck out back with mediocre food at best. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich thinking that it would be a fresh piece of chicken, it was a breaded frozen patty. My husband had the cheesesteak sandwich and I'm pretty sure it was steakums. I had accidentally left my debit card at the bar and when I called to ask if they could mail it to me, the woman that answered the phone was extremely rude and refused to mail it back to me even though I told her I could give her the card number expiration and three digit code on the back. She basically told me you left it,you come get it, what a shitty way to treat a new customer, needless to say I will never go back and I'll make sure I tell all of my biker friends not to go there either.
