Beach House Waterfront Restaurant is one of those places that has a lot of memories for us. We've been here multiple times over the years during family vacations, and it always seems to hit well. This time we sat right on the beach, which is really hard to beat. There's just something about having a few drinks, eating with your feet basically in the sand, and looking out at the water that makes the whole experience. We went with the fish and chips, which were good, and had a few drinks while we hung out. Food was solid, drinks were good, and service was good throughout the visit. For us, this place is as much about the memories and atmosphere as it is the food. It's become one of those spots we enjoy coming back to whenever we're in the area, and this visit was no different. Can't beat the view! You can't just park your car you have to use their valet service. So that means a tip at the end of your meal. I have a disabled placard and can normally park any place at no charge. This place is OVER PRICED. The dozen oysters were $28. I probably would've thought more in the range of $22 so I'll give it a pass. Hannah was our bartender - terrific. As a form of bartender, I love the way she not only took care of the customer in front of her, but she cleaned up after everybody else immediately. My friend ordered the grouper tacos. There were two of them and they came with a side of fries. Prepare yourself for the price $32! I ordered a very good clam chowder but at $12 a cup, again overpriced! I just came from a week on Cape Cod Massachusetts. Most I paid for a cup of chowder was $8.00 and it came with oyster crackers not 3 saltines - not wrapped. How many people touched the box of crackers before it gets to you? I absolutely would not recommend this restaurant. The owners need to AI their menu prices. AI. FL price for a cup of clam chowder: $8.00 AI. MA same cup $8.00 AI. SFO same cup $8-14. Average $10 I would bet my last nickel that all of these chowder are served with a side of packaged oyster crackers. To charge $12 and throw three saltines as an afterthought is just unacceptable. I live in Monterey California and part-time in Florida. I grew up on Cape Cod. I know my chowder well this was good. It wasn't over the top. I don't like fish tacos, but I can't imagine two fish tacos. Ask AI for price this is what they said: " about $14-$18 for two group of fish tacos in Florida with an average price around $15-$16 however in touristy waterfront spots $18 isn't unusual. WOW! this is definitely a great place to dine. They have great customer service, great food, the atmosphere is beyond amazing and the view is incredible. We had "Cam" as our server and immediately he made us feel welcome which is a big thumbs up in this day and age. We can't tell you about the cocktails but the sweet tea was delicious. My wife had a sparkling water. As an appetizer we ordered the mussels in wine sauce, "omg" they were so good that we had to have a second order which seemed even better. They were fresh and a good size with a great portion size with each order. Get an extra side of the bread to soak up the wine sauce. For lunch my wife had the lobster quinoa salad with bacon bits. She says it was fresh and that it was a good amount of food. I had the shrimp po-boy with Jasmine coconut rice. It was very fresh and very delicious. There are a lot of options on the menu and that would make me return immediately. They had a live band which was a nice touch and even though it was 1pm the breeze off the ocean made it comfortable to sit outside. We met the manager "Cali" and he was very pleasant to speak with. The hostesses were very friendly and made a good first impression. Take the drive and come enjoy this place. Only the valet guys seemed edgy but overall this is a great place to patronize. read more

You cannot beat the views at this restaurant! The ocean, sunset... the breeze coming from the sea breaks up the humidity and heat. You want good vibes, this is the place to be! What's also nice is that they have a free valet so you can walk on the beach following dinner and not worry about your car. Don't forget to tip though! But let's talk about the food. It's pretty good. Usually you go to a restaurant with a good view and then you're disappointed by the food. Here, it was pretty good!!! We started with the artichoke and spinach dip. It was creamy and had a great cheese pull. For my entree, I got the lamb meatballs and a side of fries. The lamb meatballs were good--usually an appetizer, but none of the entrees were speaking to me. It was a good flavor! The food is delicious but nothing crazy or different. Just solid. The service was great. Our waitress was attentive and kind. I can't remember her name sadly, but she was fantastic. And our food came out quickly! We came back for a sunset meal! We made a reservation online and our table was ready at the expected time. We grabbed a drink at the bar as we were a little early. We got the skillet dip as well as the calamari for our appetizers. The dip was so creamy and the tortilla chips had a seasoning on them that just enhanced their flavor. The calamari was crispy and we enjoyed both the marinara as well as the cilantro lime aïoli. I ordered the peel and eat shrimp for my meal. They were so big and cooked to perfection. I could barely finish them. Someone in my party got the crabcake which was crispy and full of flavor as was the lobster roll. We left there full and satisfied. For main I got the grouper tacos which were huge and delicious I recommend fried. And I also tried the grouper fish sandwich which was massive and also very good. We had on the sand reservations for my nieces birthday - arrived and was told they were going to seat us on the deck do to a storm coming in. It was SO loud from the fans & people. We couldn't hear each other. It took a while for a server to come and bring our drinks and by then .... They were seating people on the sand. So we asked to move. Then it was an amazing experience. Visited this beachfront spot in Bradenton Beach today and overall had a decent experience. The biggest highlight is definitely the location and ambiance -- it's right on the beach, and if you grab an outdoor table, you can literally dine with your feet in the sand, which makes for a really nice atmosphere. The drinks were average. We ordered two beers and a sangria, but the sangria wasn't what I'd typically expect. Food-wise, the grouper bites were excellent, the tacos were good, and the fish was fresh and tasty. The biggest disappointment was the lobster salad. At $26, I expected much more. It was mostly salad, and very little Lobster, which made it feel overpriced for what was served. If portions are smaller, the pricing should reflect that. When I asked the waitress, she said the Lobster was weighed. The photo posted here is how it was served! That said, our waitress was really friendly and funny which definitely made the experience more enjoyable and helped balance out some of the disappointments. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, and the setting alone makes it worth visiting, but there's definitely room for improvement when it comes to portion sizes and value for money. read more

Can't beat the tables in the sand! My shrimp scampi was delicious. Generous amount of shrimp. My pina colada was one of the better ones I had. It was on the thinner side, which I liked. My BF got the rum runner bucket, which he enjoyed but I was not a fan of. I prefer a sweeter RR. My BF had the filet. It was not medium rare as he ordered, and unfortunately it took more than a few minutes for someone to check on us so we could relay this. But the manager came by and had it remade and then made sure it was cooked to my BF's liking. Although I thought our server was pretty good overall, I appreciate when servers notice empty water glasses. Wowzers!! What a fantastic spot for a beautiful Oceanside dining experience!! It is an absolute must stop when visiting but make sure to book your reservation early bc it fills up fast!! We didn't know this and ended up taking a 9pm reservation and it worked out so wonderfully! We arrived at 8:45pm and we had requested on the sand beach dining they gave us the perfect table. As you can see from the photos we had a beautiful view of the ocean & it was such a treat! We started with the calamari of course which was fantastic nice and tender and delicious even the kiddo who claims she never eats seafood tried some and liked it. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and it was so good. I tried to look civilized and keep the Buffalo sauce off my face as I was devouring it but it was nearly impossible the sandwich too delicious! Bob had a cheeseburger which was two patties and was gigantic! So much food! The best part about this place is that the food is equally as awesome as the surroundings. Also there is valet parking so we didn't have to worry about finding a spot which would have been crazy! Oh and I almost forgot they have a little shop when you walk in with apparel and all kinds of cute stuff. We had such a great evening and will add this to our must go list every time we visit Anna Maria. 10/10 from me! read more

Dinner at Beach House Waterfront Restaurant was lovely! My sister made reservations for 4 of us at 5pm on a Monday night, and we were seated very quickly. Our server was attentive, friendly, and always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. The food also came out surprisingly fast. We started with the calamari appetizer, which was very fresh and delicious. The only downside was that there were a lot of fried onions and banana peppers mixed in with it, which kind of overwhelmed the calamari a bit. Still, I would definitely recommend it. For our entrées, we had the coconut shrimp and the branzino, and both were incredibly fresh and flavorful. The branzino was filleted perfectly with no bones at all. Our waiter recommended getting it sautéed, and he was absolutely right, it was amazing. For dessert, we ordered the key lime pie to go, but after we left we realized we had accidentally been given caramel cheesecake instead. We went back, and the owner was so kind and accommodating, they gave us the correct key lime pie and let us keep the cheesecake on the house. And honestly, that key lime pie was the best I've had on this mini vacation. I've been ordering key lime pie at every dinner to compare them all, and this one was by far my favorite. After a morning of frolicking in the ocean the delicious looking scents at Beach House Waterfront Restaurant called us over! The restaurant looked a bit too nice for our kind on the outside, but their expansive, covered back patio was welcoming to our sandy feet and cover ups. Our server was really fantastic -- welcoming, funny, and helpful. You could tell he was a pro. The hosting station definitely had a few kinks to work out, but hopefully that will come with training and time. Grouper bites, cheeseburgers, calamari, salads, and grouper sandwich were all a hit. Even though many of the restaurants up and down the strip all share similar menus I could tell that these items were prepared with expertise and care. The quality of seafood was also definitely noticed. We were not planning to get drinks when sitting down but the relaxing beach atmosphere quickly changed our mind. This is definitely a place to stay and enjoy a good meal. Loved how they had a few games in the sand, plus indoor and outdoor bathrooms. read more

One of our favorites at AMI and it has valet parking. It was a little strange this visit, however, with seating. We wanted outside or a window and since nothing was available outside for 45 minutes we took the window. As it turned out we were put in the "family room". We were the only couple in there (and seniors on a date). We gave it a try but ended up moving to the bar because we couldn't hear each other. Disaster. Team dinner, with reservations, of course, and they took over an hour... AN HOUR ... to bring the food. These were teenagers who needed sleep for tournament play the next morning, and this "high class" establishment couldn't have been a bigger waste of time, except, somehow, they were: my niece got food-poisoning from these inept people. You can put a restaurant in a great location and make it look as nice as you want, but if you can't make and serve food promptly and, most importantly, safely, then you're just a tourist trap. The Beach House Waterfront restaurant gives off all of the amazing summer & beach vibes as it is located right on the beach with both indoor and outdoor seating, so you can enjoy the stunning ocean view from anywhere. Most restaurants on the island don't take reservations in advance, but I love that this restaurant does because it's so nice to have a spot locked down for dinner without wondering if you'll have a 2+ hour wait. Tip: book your reservation around sunset and you will not be disappointed. I went last summer with my family at sunset and the sky was painted a gorgeous pink and orange. Most recently, I dined around 4 pm and there was no wait, so that is also something to keep in mind if you're looking for a nice place to grab a bite to eat, but don't want to worry about a long wait. Now, for the food. My go-to at most beachy/seafood restaurants is some sort of fish taco. I ordered the grouper tacos, which come with a side of fries and coleslaw. They were packed with blackened grouper, mango salsa, cheese, and a fresh lime sauce. The food was very hot and quite a big portion, so depending on your appetite these tacos could definitely be shared as one taco came with a large piece of grouper. read more

Last time we were here was a year ago. Imagine our surprise at the menu changes and they were very pricey and it doesn't make sense. I am not paying $42 for a 6oz steak. Fish and chips I believe was $32. The liquor is top tier pricing for bottom shelf liquor. Majority of their menu is seafood now and never noticed any vegan options. We were so disappointed that they no longer serve the coconut cake from "hometown desserts"! That was one of the main reasons we came back to this restaurant. Staff was very nice and blamed corporate for the new changes. I guess the swordfish grill and tiki bar will be our new favorite. Their shrimp tacos are amazing. read more
