Peggy's is a cute Hallmark store, which is much bigger inside. Sort of like the TARDIS, huh. I didn't realize there was a Hallmark's in the area, when I went looking for one on Yelp. I was up for a drive, so I went down the 215 Fwy to Murrieta. Yep, exactly where Yelp maps said it would be. LOL Mind you, there are soooo few Hallmarks stores these days outside of a Mall locations. I needed to get a few cards and was hoping they had some extra goodies I could get for gifts. "That was a Bingo!" Lots of things to pick out and like I said, it's huge inside. They have a nice selection (see photos) at reasonable prices, too. From Star Wars, to Star Trek, to Doctor Who, to Mickey, Peggy's had a nice selection. I got to meet the Manager (Peggy I wonder), who was sweet and nice, in a genuine way. Now that I know Peggy's is here, I'll be back in August when the Hallmark's Christmas ornaments arrive. read more

Lynda, if you're reading this, I just want to let you know that YOU made my day. All I asked you for, was to show me to the "job promotion," cards. While you didn't have exactly what I was like hoping for, you walked me straight to the, "Congratulations," cards. There, you picked out 3-4 cards and helped me look for more suitable ones. You asked me questions that I didn't expect, but was so honored to let you in on who was being promoted. Your sentiment and just the mere expression of happiness, from YOU, whom I just met, got me all so happy inside. Hallmark.... When you care enough to send the very best. This store surely scored when they hired you. I am so glad to have run into someone who actually, genuinely really cares. I spent $7 in your store. That's all. I would leave 0 stars if possible. I had a nail appointment in the area and drove by this store and went in thinking it was a great place for a last minute Mother's Day gift and I love supporting local businesses as a business owner myself. Boy was I wrong. To start, most of the stores items were outdated and overpriced, but that's besides the point and something I could have looked past. The customer service was absolutely disgusting. The moment I walked in? I was watched over like a hawk, the sales associates made me feel discriminated against as if I was going to take something. They offered no help along with that. Mother's Day items were scattered throughout the store and it was unclear where things were. I asked for assistance finding a Mother's Day mug and the sales associate offered no help and gave a very short response "uh, they usually are here somewhere". She pointed to 3 mugs that weren't Mother's Day mugs and that was the extent of her help, she walked away as she said that, so it was extremely passive. I found my items and asked if I could sit them at the front register since they didn't have baskets or offer me a basket and the store was empty anyway, and the associate at the register looked taken aback that I asked to set my items down. THEN I asked if the Mother's Day cards were in a specific area and she just pointed to the general back area of cards (about 4 aisles them) which I obviously seen, so I asked again and she said "wherever you see pink cards back there and just so you know we close in a couple of minutes." it was just so clear and obvious they didn't want to help me. I grabbed whatever card quickly because I was so uncomfortable in the store. Then when I went to pay she refused my $100 bill. Not sure why a store that easily exceeds $100 when you buy a few items doesn't accept $100 but okay sure. So I paid with card. The sales associate didn't speak more than one word to me and then I left feeling very upset and disgusted. As a known business owner in the area I will be sure to not recommend this place of business. Let this be a lesson to treat ALL customers with kindness as you never know who may be in your store. read more

If I could leave zero stars, I would. I am rather new to this area, having just moved here about a year ago, and I decided to try to go in store and browse their ornaments/decorations to try to get ready for the upcoming holiday season. Immediately upon entering the store, I was harassed by a very abrasive saleswoman who demanded to know if I was looking for something specific. I was honestly taken aback by her tone and aggressive introduction but tried to explain that I was simply intending to browse the Halloween collection and maybe pick up a few cards. The store itself is small and the stock is limited, there were flies by the entrance, and the ambiance was definitely not friendly, which did not put me in a great mood to shop. I decided to try to use my "just because" free card coupon since I was already in the store, and upon checkout, the same saleswoman stated she could not find my email in the system tied to my account, which would be impossible given that I was emailed the coupon; additionally, she questioned my address and stated she would update it since it did not match, which I found strange given that I have already had online card orders delivered to my new address. I tried to end the interaction as quickly as possible, given her unfriendly nature, and was further assaulted by her tone and demeanor when she questioned/attempted to correct the pronunciation of my address street name (it's a very simple address, a common name). In short, if I could go back in time and warn myself, I would just skip the uncomfortable 10/15 minutes I spent in this store. Needless to say, I would not recommend this place; If you are in desperate need of a card or an ornament, and every other store is closed/out of stock, just do yourself a favor and order it online. read more

This store has a very strict policy on returns. We wanted to return an ornament we bought two days ago. We went in with our receipt and were told under no certain terms would they take it back. This policy is surely costing them more than it's saving. For example, my husband and I went into the store prepared to spend at least $200 in merchandise as we do annually after Christmas. Because Colleen wouldn't even entertain an exchange, they lost that business and more. Now, we will no longer step foot in this store. When I asked how I could be removed from their mailing list, Colleen smiled and seemed happy to do so. However, she didn't ask for my name or personal information so I'm not sure how she's going to do that. In a world where brick and mortar retail shops are closing in record numbers, such policies coupled with staunch inflexibility is a recipe for disaster. They have lost a loyal customer that has been shopping at this store for years. read more

I need more stars to rate this store. This is THE store for cards and Hallmark ornaments. I have never seen so many Hallmark ornaments in one store - wow, what a selection. They have knick knacks, jewelry, purses, scarfs, too. The cards run the gamut from plain & simple to high-end, one of a kind. You WILL find your card here. So many Hallmark stores have closed their doors. I'm so glad this one is surviving our economy. Go there and shop, we gotta keep this one open. Peggy's Hallmark Shop is fabulous. They have a great selection of Christmas Ornaments at Christmas time. And very cute trinkets and Knick knacks year round. If you want something they don't have make sure to look at Hallmarks website. The stores card selection is great. The Staff is very friendly. And The shop has a very welcoming feeling. I went into this Hallmark today to pick up an online order, and was so delightfully surprised. The two ladies working there (1/16/20) were both so very kind and pleasant. I also found amazing deals on Christmas items, which was awesome. I highly recommend this location to find little trinkets and gifts. I called this afternoon to check a item in store. They are not just very helpful, they know how many they have in the store and when more of the same items will arrive. I went in after work. And this place after work, it is a very nice store , they make you feel very welcome to walk into shop. Not only I saw what they told me of what they had.( the carrie more than just cards) They have very nice setting in this store. Employees are very helpful. Super !!! Thank you. Looks like I'm in the minority here but my experience was not a good one. Walked in to look at the collection of precious moments, the lady working was with a customer so understandable my walking in was barely acknowledged, but at least a "Hi" would have been nice. I didn't find what I was looking for but found something that would do for a gift. The lady finished with her customer, and since I was in front of glass and would have to be helped with my purchase I politely waited to be acknowledged with a "can I help you?" "Would you like to see something?" Nope the lady proceeds to the back of the store to have a conversation with the other worker back in the stock room. So, I walked towards the back determined to let them know I need help with something behind the glass, but of course i get distracted by some books (it is a nice store) as I am reading a passage another customer comes in. The lady comes out of the back and says "welcome, can I help you find something today?" That was the last straw for me. I figured maybe she was needing to talk to the person in back about something important, and that's why I was ignored, nope they were talking about someone's surgery! But to completely dismiss me the entire time?? No that wasn't a mistake. I don't know if the lady didn't like the way I was dressed or what but no service at all!? I have to start by saying that I only discovered this store because of the Discover card "Peggy" commercials. I am so glad I did. I don't live in the area so I use my local stores more often than this one, but if I know I'll be passing by and need something Hallmark-ish, then I make it a point to stop here. My last visit was two days ago. The prices are standard Hallmark of course, but the store is always very clean and the staff is very friendly. Love this place! I usually just go to Target or CVS to get a card but for that really nice special card, I come here. Hallmark does have the best cards. Yes, they are more expensive, but you get what you pay for. Wanted to get my hubby a Valentines Day Card and knew this store would have a great selection. They have other little knick knacks too which is dangerous for me because I'm usually in there for 30-45 minutes. Sick, I know. It's a CARD!! Always find whatever I am looking for either card or small gift for friend. Staff is always friendly and even seem to rmember my name when I come in !!! They are really nice about Christmas ornament layaway and that allows me to get more of the items I want without taking the chance of missing out on something until I have the money. read more
