It's been a while since my family and I ate at Peg's Glorified Ham N Eggs because we've been busy trying out new breakfast spots. I'm so glad we decided to come back! We ordered the Veggie Omelet, Steak Benedict, and the Loco Moco, and everything was delicious. My daughter decided to swap her toast for a pancake and was pleasantly surprised when they brought out one huge pancake! She was so happy with her choice and couldn't stop saying how good it was after every bite. The portions were generous, the food was flavorful, and the service was just as great as we remembered. Coming back reminded us why Peg's has been one of our favorite breakfast places. We'll definitely be back! read more

Service is great, atmosphere is charming, and we got there early so we did not have to wait to be seated. We all ordered and I went with the Corned Beef Hash. Delicious! However the two other orders in our group had some variation on The Benedict which as we all know comes with Hollandaise. Now I am an aficionado of Hollandaise and make it myself. IT IS NOT SUPPOSED TO TASTE LIKE PARMESAN CHEESE. EVER!! When we inform our server that this is wrong and gross on so many levels, he asks the kitchen and they say no it's the same as always. EXCEPT IT TASTES LIKE PARMESAN!?!? I suspect it was from the day before and went sour. Also, gross. Shouldn't you be making it fresh everyday?? But it ruined what should have been a lovely breakfast. Eh... haven't been here for awhile. Service is still fairly good. The place is still small which is ok. The food... meh. The food isn't bad. Just not what it use to be. Yes portions are still big. I had the BLT. The bacon was tough and hard to bite through. The sourdough was more like a French bread only hard. While it wasn't bad it wasn't great like it use to be. The fries tho are still good and the portions are still large. My mom had eggs and sausage and hashbrowns. The sausage use to be so good as they made it in house. It's different. Even if they still make it in house it doesn't taste the same. I'm not sure what has changed. Their distributor? The chef? I don't know. I hope they bring back the quality that it once was. This place had been on my list for awhile and I finally got a chance to try it, and I've got to say, I was quite disappointed. I wanted some traditional pancakes and sausage so I ordered their full stack with sausage and eggs on the side to make sure a meal. I also got some hot tea. The meal came out quickly and was huge, but upon eating it, the flavor was just not there b the pancakes were dry and needed way too much syrup to even have a chance. Even the sausage patty, which looked very promising, was missing flavor. I had to add Cholula to the sausage and eggs just to give them any flavor. I was very impressed by the size of the dish and actually took half of my pancakes home. That being said, $20 for two eggs, some sausage, and pancakes is very overpriced to me. Even more overpriced was the tea bag and some hot water for $4! I will say my server was incredibly kind and probably one of the best I've ever had. Shout out to Ellanay! The staff is so nice and friendly. Don't you hate it when a customer comes in 15 minutes before closing? Well we did that and the staff didn't blink and welcomed us in. They close at 2 on the door but on Yelp it said 3. The food was delicious and in large portions. We ordered the Hawaiian breakfast, another the breakfast burrito and the two others ordered the chicken fried steak. We also ordered a short stack for the table. No one had any complaints. A nail was in my tire so I had to get it fixed at a shop nearby. With two hungry toddlers i looked at what was nearby and found pegs diner . My toddlers were very happy and the service was amazing. The food was great and the portions were huge. I had a salad and my kids split a breakfast meal they couldn't even finish. Diner was small and charming- every table was full to the max. I'm sure I'm not alone in this, but I love breakfast. Upon moving to Las Vegas I have found numerous breakfast places, and they've all been good, but a few really catch my eye. Pegs Glorified Ham and Eggs is definitely one. It's tucked away in a little strip mall, would be easy to mess if you didn't know it was there. But I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes to get a table on any weekday morning. The ambience is great, the service is stellar, but the real star of the show is the food. I have gone to Peg's numerous times and had different things each time, and have never been disappointed once. One of the things that I always judge in restaurant on is when they bring the milk out with the meal. Long time readers of my Yelp reviews know that it is that attention to detail. That makes a difference for me. Pegs passed the test with flying colors! I highly recommend the stuffed French toast, the pancakes.... Well. We've been to Peg's several times over the last few years and have always had a great experience, and today was no different. I was craving some eggs Benedict and they definitely do it right here. In the past I've had their El Caliente Benedict which is chorizo patties in an English muffin with poached eggs and a spicy chorizo hollandaise with some fresh sliced jalepenos. It's amazing but my stomach wasn't ready for all that fire today so I just got the traditional eggs Benedict. The portion size is perfect, served with a nice helping of hash browns. The hash browns were nicely browned and flavorful. Their hollandaise has just a touch of lemon in it and is perfectly creamy and satisfying. I also had a glass of fresh squeezed OJ that is absolutely delicious and worth every penny of the $6.99 cost. My girlfriend ordered the bacon and eggs. The eggs were scrambled nicely and the bacon is to die for. They're several nice big slices that are on the thicker side and cooked just right. About the only negative I have to say is about the toast that she got with her breakfast. She ordered sourdough but unfortunately it was cooked a bit too dark. Having my car serviced nearby and wanted breakfast while the work was being done. Quick walk over to Peg's. No problem getting a table at 8:30 AM on a Wednesday morning. The restaurant is simple in the decorating with some booths and mostly tables. Ellanay came by soon after I sat down with a warm greeting and to take my order. Being pretty hungry, I went with the meat lovers omelette ($19.50) with a side of hash browns and two slices of toast (the toast is unlimited so you can have more if you are still hungry after the huge omelet). They've proven every time why I'll choose them over the other options. Great diner type place in Henderson (on Eastern). In the same parking lot as Khoury's and Panera. I like Peg's because it's not a mainstream "cookie cutter" type diner. They serve all the things. Omelets, Pancakes, French Toast, etc... but they have some Island style dishes too like Loco Moco. And like a true diner... their portions are big. I ended up taking half my omelet home for breakfast the next day. (Yes, it warms up just fine.) I had the Spinach Omelet (no cheese) with a side of fruit and toast. My GF had the Breakfast Quesadilla skillet which looked really good too. She opted to not have the eggs since she's not an egg person and they did it up right for her. We shared the special of the day which was Red Velvet pancakes. They were like dessert. Good thing we shared because they were quite substantial.... just a few bites really takes care of the craving. Pegs is a local gem. I can't believe I waited sooo long to try this place out when it is so close to me. It's located near busy eastern on a quick turn, you can miss it easily if you aren't looking! Now, they have very ample parking in the lot so no need to fret about that. They offer table and booth seating and have a pretty large space. The moment we walked in we were greeted and helped pretty quickly. We were seated and taken care of almost immediately. Our server Chris was absolutely amazing!!! He was busy with a lot of other tables but gave exemplary service and was helping his team out along the way. I was craving a coffee and usually it always tastes too bitter to me but their iced coffee was delicious!! I would come and order it to go before work every day if I could hahaha! And.. their orange juice is freshly squeezed and wow you can taste that difference. We got the Hawaiian breakfast which is always something we look forward to with breakfast spots here haha, love taste of home! And looove the fact they fried the spam perfectly, a lot of places undercook spam where it is too soft and mushy and not good to eat but pegs did it right!! The Mac salad was so delicious as well one of the bests I've had in a while. Thank goodness Vegas is the ninth island!! Lastly, I got the French toast which was 100/10 it was so delicious. The bread was soft and fluffy with powdered sugar on top. It was warm too and the syrup in combination with it was the perfect breakfast. If you get toast - it's unlimited. I had sourdough - it's the thick fluffy kind of bread! And, my guest wanted a bagel. One of the parts that we were excited about was grits, you don't find this everywhere. The bowl of grits they give you is big!
