Jacob's Slammin Platter
Ariel B.

We come here every once in a while for breakfast. The service is great and the food is solid. My husband always gets the Jacob's Slammin platter which comes with one of each meat, 2 eggs, potatoes or orange slices, a bagel and pancakes. They do up charge if you get specialty pancakes. These ones weren't really worth it. I got the chicken chipotle wrap and was surprised at how good it was. I was a big fan and would definitely get it again. Chicken was thinly pounded with really good flavor. We'll definitely be back.

Great breakfast place been coming here for years. Ambience is super cool. Service is absolutely magnificent and the food. The food is constantly amazing fresh hot served with a smile. This is my go to breakfast place.

Chilaquiles

Definitely enjoyed dining here for the first time and definitely not our last! Our amazing server Nancy recommended what I believe was the spare rib benedict listed in the specials and I was torn between an omelette, Tuna melt, and ended with the chilaquiles! Both were so delicious and we had so much food we at least got to take it home. I was impressed with their hospitality, and I loved how some of the names of their dishes remind you of movie titles, what a nice touch. I appreciated how cozy the restaurant was, and their quotes were a nice addition to the walls. Will be back when we're on that side of town again.

Reuben sandwich (very good)

Amazing food! Serve breakfast and lunch all day until closing. I had the pancakes with crispy bacon. The pancakes were just the right amount of of sweetness, with good texture from the crispy edges. I didn't even need syrup. The bacon was nice and crispy salty and crunchy! My mom had the Reuben served on ripe bread. She said it was phenomenal, plenty amount of pastrami.. our waiter was excellent

The food I ordered was very good. I also tried the French toast sourdough and that was quite good. The staff is friendly. I tried the omelette and it lacked flavor so I would recommend getting the other items.

We had a wonderful breakfast at Sunrise Cafe. The restaurant was busy when we arrived, but we were seated quickly. Our server was friendly. The interior is bright and spacious. The menu has plenty of items to choose from . Our meals were fresh, tasty, and good portions. I definitely recommend and can't wait to try other items on future visits. The restaurant has a great vibe, attentive service, and solid brunch energy with the crowd. Easy, delicious, and reliable, exactly what you want for a weekend brunch.

FOOD MOOD: Sunrise Cafe! Memory lane of my go to back in the day breakfast cafe!! We randomly ended up back at Sunrise Cafe after not going for over 10+ years... and wow it brought back all the feels. My husband and I were in the area and decided to stop in, and I'm SO glad we did. The staff is honestly the sweetest -- you can tell they genuinely care. They were talking with customers like family, and we even watched them sing Happy Birthday to a lady today which was the cutest thing ever The food? So good and made with real, fresh ingredients -- you can just taste the difference. I got the steak & egg wrap with cottage cheese (only ate half because it was HUGE ), my husband got the classic breakfast with French toast (so good), and my daughter loved the pound cake French toast cinnamon swirl -- like obsessed Everything felt so warm, real, and welcoming. Places like this are hard to find these days. Definitely one of those spots that just feels like home. We'll 100% be coming back Ambiance is always welcoming and just like how a cafe should feel!

And I will say this, they have the best merch I've seen for a restaurant.

This was my third time to the Original Sunrise Cafe, and all three times were off the chain. From the decor, to the friendliness of the staff, to the quality of the food, this place hits on all cylinders! If you're planning on getting there on the weekends I would suggest getting there early, as this place is very popular... And with good reason! The good news is they have plenty of seating outside, as well as a very nice waiting area in case you do have to wait. Inside, the place has a warm and cozy welcoming atmosphere. Honestly, it reminds me of a small hometown Cafe that is next level. The decor is contemporary, bright, cheery and airy. With very cute wall decor. The staff there has been stellar from the first time we went there. Warm, welcoming, great suggestions, and just overall a joy to be with. We have had Alex as a server multiple times, and this guy is awesome! He must have graduated top of his class in waiter school, because he was funny, friendly, not overbearing, and constantly checking on our table. But the food is the real star! I had the OG breakfast sandwich with extra bacon and it was absolutely everything I would want and more! The hash browns on the side were cooked perfectly. Crispie on top soft in the middle, you really can't go wrong. It was such a good meal, and I always enjoy going there. Plus I have to say, they have some of the best merchandise. The t-shirts have very cute designs, and it would be stuff you would want to wear, not just like a souvenir while you were traveling. Bottom line? This is a must-go breakfast spot. If you are in the Las Vegas Henderson area. It's super easy to find off Eastern avenue, and you would do yourself a favor to go there for breakfast!

Came here for breakfast. Nice off the strip breakfast spot. Ordered an egg sandwich and a short stack of pancakes. Service very good and nice atmosphere. Food was great and prices reasonable.

Such a cute, cozy spot--definitely gives that classic neighborhood diner vibe. Service was super quick, which we loved. And our waiter was so sweet and friendly . The food was full of flavor--we ordered the ranchero breakfast wrap with chicken and it did not disappoint. The sin-o-man pancakes were delicious too, just a bit on the sweeter side.

This place is so good! I wanted to try everything. I came here after a workout so we were pretty hungry we got seated right away. The waiter was attentive and once we started ordering the food came out pretty fast and it was fresh. You can see the steam from the heat of the food. I made my own veggie omelette! Omg soo bomb. And the French toast was so good! It looks sugar but didn't taste sugary at all. It was crazy. Then we ordered a breakfast sandwich so good as well. I never eat the hash browns , I just never like them , but these hash browns were so good! Ahh just a great little spot. Can't wait to go back and try new dishes.

With the proliferation of breakfast/lunch restaurants a bit closer to my home, it has been quite a while since I made it back to The Original Sunrise Cafe. We met friends for brunch midweek - the place was packed at 11 AM. OSC will win no awards for decorating. About 20 tables inside, another half dozen seats at the bar, and a few more outside. Jade, our server, was at our table with a smile and a warm welcome almost as soon as we sat down. Service remained excellent despite the crowd. Both my wife and I opted for the make your own omelet with a side of potatoes and an everything bagel ($16). The omelet is HUGE and loaded with the goodies we requested packed inside (except for the avocado which was sliced on top). Absolutely delish!!! And way more than we could finish at one sitting - breakfast for tomorrow! There is a reason the OSC has had staying power despite the number of newer competing restaurants in the area. We will be back again soon.

The Original Sunrise Cafe was EGGCELLENT! Solid five stars. My brother and I both ordered the brisket burnt ends benedict and my dad had the chilaquiles. Talk about flavor! Our breakfast was very delicious and well portioned. The vibes and customer service also escalated the experience to a level that will make you leave with a smile and a full happy stomach. We will make our way back during our road trip!

Ask the Community - The Original Sunrise Cafe

I see that here on yelp it says 'vegan options' ? But I don't see any on the menu.... Is there a listing of what the vegan meals are?

There are vegan options like the About Thyme dish and my favorite Avocado Toast and customizable items like…

Is it super busy at 10am? Do you take reservations?

Yes it's busy. (Super busy? not sure) They don't take reservations.

Do they still sell jalapeño bacon?

They sure do! And it's great!

How is this business operating during COVID-19? Tables spaced 6-feet? Staff and/or customers wearing mandatory face coverings as per NV state policy? Anything else to note about them right now?

I disagree with Darcy's answer. The tables were definitely spaced apart and I only saw people wearing masks when walking around. They also offer outdoor seating if you are too uncomfortable dining in.

Do they serve mimosas?

No. Just breakfast lunch. No alcohol there

Any gluten-free options? Gluten-free waffle, muffin, etc?

Yes, they have gluten free food

Is there a pancake or French toast combo?

Yes there is!

Are they able to substitute "healthier" options (turkey sausage, turkey bacon, egg whites..)?

Yes, they offer Turkey Sausage ( which I like very much ) as well as egg whites!

I found this place had a coupon for $8 off of a $25 order on GrubHub. I have Amazon, so I log in with that for GrubHub to lose the extra fees. That's pretty cool. Plus I don't need to venture into the world. Win. It's hot out. I got a bacon maple bagel with sausage, egg and cheese for Adam. I got cucumbers, onion, capers and tomato with lox cream cheese on a Cheeto bagel for me. I looked up the Cheeto bagel- it's a cheese bagel that is kind of orange. That sounded good. Then I got 2 hash browns with a side of scrambled eggs that came with rye toast and pepper jack cheese for $2.99. They made it into a little sandwich for me, and it was lovely. I would do that again all day long. It was like a grilled cheese with egg. When I got my bagel it was a plain bagel and they put flaming hot cheetos inside. Clearly I did something wrong when ordering. I picked off the cheetos, but the residue was spicy and really good. My husband "accidentally" just ate half of my sandwich and he insisted that I do a review for them. I wasn't going to. I didn't even think to take a picture, so you get my receipts. Trust me when I say it was pretty and very stacked. He got a breakfast sandwich and he said the maple bacon bagel was something like a cross between a bagel and a donut. He liked it. He said it was strange and different, and that whoever came up with these was really imaginative. I have to agree. The star for me was still that pepper jack and egg on rye with those yummy caraway seeds. Absolutely simple and a show stopper. If you're in the mood for something different, grab some goodies from Bagel Nook. I highly recommend!

They are busy but they put food out pretty fast. We had the Heavenly Ham which was a good looking bagel, evenly made with plenty of meat. It was a good sandwich. We also had The Italian and it was loaded. These are what bagel sandwiches are supposed to be like. We also had the Blueberry Muffin which was really good. The staff were nice even with a non stop line, they were there to help served you with a smile. I highly recommend this place, a warmer day may be better if you want to eat there as you will most likely be outside. I give this place a thumbs up and will go again to try something else.

In most places out here, you can't tell if a plain bagel got an accidental dusting of seeds or they skimp or don't know how to top them so the seeds stay on. If you have to take a drug test, don't eat a poppy, you might fail - they are loaded. Their pumpernickel too is OUTSTANDING. We will definitely be back!

There is no designated person on the cash handling the customers orders, and designated people making the bagels. First time at El Bagel and WOW -- consider me officially converted. I'm a Bay Area guy who usually camps out at MGM properties when I'm in Vegas, so I had never heard of El Bagel until this morning. I ended up at Fontainebleau for a client meeting, spotted this place, and thought, "Quick breakfast, why not?" Turns out it was the best decision I made before business even started. I love the whole concept -- Fontainebleau bringing Miami flavors to Vegas without me having to fly across the country or deal with Miami humidity. Walking up was easy, the line was long, but it was one of those 100% worth it lines. The place is spotless, the staff looks genuinely happy to be there, and the menu is simple enough that you don't need a dissertation to order. The bagels? FRESH. HAND‑CRAFTED. Everything is mixed, rolled, fermented, and baked in‑house every single morning. Daily classics + rotating flavors + premium add‑ons like thick‑cut bacon, cold‑smoked lox, sliced turkey, smashed avocado, and yes... caviar. Vegas loves a little luxury. I ordered the BLT -- Bacon, Avocado Aioli, Romaine Lettuce, Oven‑Roasted Tomatoes. My client went for the Lox Supreme -- Cold‑Smoked Nova Lox, Plain Cream Cheese, Tomato, Cucumbers, Pickled Onion, Capers, Dill, served open‑faced like the star it is. We paired it with two Lavender Lattes because we're professionals... with taste. Total was around $50, which is pretty standard for Vegas, and honestly? Worth every dollar for the quality, freshness, and flavor. El Bagel is officially my new go‑to bagel spot on the Strip. If you're in Vegas and want breakfast that actually hits -- this is the move.

The everything bagel was a bit too loaded on top with seeds, but I loved the cinnamon raisin as it was perfectly chewy. Although I am certain the 'american cheese' in the sandwich has little to no real cheese, I can't deny that my tastebuds were pleased. I also had their coffee a few times as well and it was surprisingly not bad! Despite the sandwiches being hefty in price, it was definitely one of the better options in the hotel. Now that I'm back home, I would do anything to have another taste of that bagel...
