The dumplings appetizer was fantastic, perfect crunch and texture and the filling paired well with the sauce. The beef with broccoli was also really good, the beef was super tender and the sauce was tasty. I do wish it came with more sweet and sour chicken, but it comes as a side so that's not a criticism, you could literally order its own plate. My wife and I shared this combo and between this and the dumplings it was almost too much. The Thai red curry was spicier than I expected, so if you like spicy this one for you! Good flavor and super saucy. The tofu with vegetables was pretty good, I wish the sauce had more flavor, but I'm happy to be generous with the provided condiments. I didn't try the spring rolls but my kids did, they were cooked perfectly with a nice crunch. Only criticism is the atmosphere and seating, it's a small place so it's definitely not a deal killer, but it's an amazing quick lunch spot!

We started with the egg rolls and gyoza as appetizers. Both were delicious, but the egg rolls were especially impressive--they were packed with flavor. The gyoza was cooked perfectly and tasted great as well. My wife ordered the Volcano Salad and absolutely loved it. It was fresh, flavorful, and a great way to start the meal. For my entrée, I tried several sushi rolls. The Godzilla Roll was my favorite by far. It had the perfect combination of crunchy and soft textures with incredible flavor--you don't even need soy sauce because it's that good. I also ordered the Baked Salmon Roll, which was something new for me. I loved that it was served hot, and the flavor was absolutely spectacular. The service was excellent throughout the evening. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made our date night even more enjoyable. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back. Highly recommend Akashi!

Sushi has always been solid--nothing life-changing, but consist and gets the job done. Service? A bit of a wild card... sometimes great, sometimes you're left wondering if you accidentally turned invisible. Tried the hibachi for the first time and... meh. Not terrible, not amazing--just kind of there. The shrimp was tasty, the noodles were decent, but the fried rice (my favorite part!) was a real letdown. Somehow managed to taste like straight oil with a side of disappointment. Overall: come for the view, stick to the sushi, and maybe let the fried rice sit this one out.

I genuinely wanted to give this place five stars, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing overall. When we first arrived, there was nobody at the front to greet or seat us, and we waited several minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Service started off decent enough, but once our food arrived, it felt like we were completely forgotten. Nobody checked on our table afterward, we never received water refills, and our server was essentially unavailable for the rest of the meal. We were also seated next to an extremely loud party that was yelling throughout dinner. We wanted to request another table because it was disrupting the experience, but our server never returned to our section, so we never had the opportunity to ask. For a restaurant that presents itself as high caliber, I was surprised that management allowed such a disruptive atmosphere to continue. As for the food, the BBQ Pork Buns and Siu Mai were both very good. The award-winning Beef Rendang was easily the highlight of the meal and the best dish we ordered. Unfortunately, the Mee Goreng and Malaysian Fried Rice were major disappointments. Both dishes had an unpleasant smell and lacked flavor or seasoning, making them very unappetizing. Another issue was finding a bug on our table during dinner. I understand things can happen, but combined with everything else, it added to an already frustrating experience. We even wanted additional napkins, but again, our server never came back to check on us. Eventually, we became so frustrated waiting for service that we got up and paid the bill ourselves. Ironically, that was the moment our server finally reappeared. To make matters worse, gratuity appeared to already be added to the bill, which honestly did not feel deserved given the level of service we received. Overall, the BBQ Pork Buns and Beef Rendang were the only parts of the experience that saved the meal for us. It's disappointing because the restaurant itself is beautifully designed and has a great ambiance, which made us even more excited to try it. Unfortunately, the poor service and inconsistent food quality overshadowed what could have been a much better dining experience.

I loved it. Tasted like the sonic lemon cream slushie. I drank the whole thing and it was worth the money for sure. We shared a gyoza appetizer, and it was great. They were perfectly crispy on the bottom with soft texture on top. The sauce was a bit sweeter than a normal gyoza sauce, but it was pretty good, and one member of our party really liked it. I got the Tonkatsu ramen, and it was better quality than your average American ramen! The chashu was perfect with a slight crisp to it, the noodles were springy, and I enjoyed the addition of the bok choy. It was also the perfect amount of food. I'm actually sad this isn't in my local area. I had a great meal here and would highly recommend.

It does come with a sauce which helps, but I wish the chicken itself was also seasoned. As for entree I ordered the spare rib ramen. Again, the fried spare ribs lacked seasoning, but the fry was well done. The ramen was very light, almost too light in my opinion for a true ramen broth. The chili oil they have though is delicious and improved the taste of the soup a lot.

I originally ordered my meal to-go, but when I arrived, I realized I did not want to attempt eating this in my car (you know that moment ). The host was incredibly welcoming and graciously switched me to dine-in without hesitation. That kind of hospitality always sets the tone. I ordered the spicy cucumber salad and the salt & pepper shrimp. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The only surprise? The "spicy" cucumber salad wasn't spicy at all...more refreshing than fiery. If you love heat, you may want to ask for an extra kick. Now let's talk about the salt & pepper shrimp...perfection. Crispy, beautifully seasoned, and cooked just right with that ideal balance of salt and pepper. Simple done exceptionally well. Overall, Triple Pepper is such a solid spot; perfect for a girls' night, family dinner, or an easy, casual date night. Definitely adding this one to my regular rotation.
