Food wise we have sampled multiple things from the menu, but our absolutes are the Pork Egg Roll ($1.25), Wonton Soup ($2.95), Sesame Chicken ($7.95) and the House Lo Mein ($6.95). As you can see, we can get all this for less than $20! The food is awful and by that I mean there is no flavor whatsoever. Everything from the rice (no eggs, no vegetables), to the happy family (literally tasted like water), was absolutely flavorless. We tossed the majority in the garbage because one would have to load the food with soy sauce and for all of that, the food would simply taste like soy sauce. I really hate to type this review, but I was mislead and we spent quite a bit on multiple dinners and got home only to find one shrimp lo mein was completely missing and I paid for it. When I called about the missing dinner, the lady kept telling me to check my bag and asked if I was sure because she "knew she put it in there." I said, "I'm ready to enjoy dinner with my family and I have no reason to take time away from my life to call you about this if there was no problem." After several minutes she finally agreed to provide a complimentary lo mein the next time I come. There will be no next time. I will never return and I realized that after we sit down to eat the other items. Everything was absolutely disgusting. I cannot believe someone actually wasted food to make this. I'm disgusted and I saw another photo on the reviews, someone reported maggots. I want to vomit. I'm on the hunt for delicious Chinese food. This place is not it. read more

The outside looks a little rundown, but don't let that deter you! They have some of the yummiest food at the best prices in Cobb county! The restaurant itself is set inside a quaint little ex-tavern, complete with romantic soft lighting and enough booths and tables inside to seat a large crowd. The waitstaff are all extremely nice and polite, taking my order promptly and keeping my drink refilled through my lunch experience. This isn't the first time I have had lunch here and it definitely won't be the last! Keep up the great work guys! read more

Star East is a consistent, CHEAP, conveniently located spot that serves decent quality food in hefty portions at a fantastic price! We ended up at Star East after calling to place a take out order. When we placed our order, they told us about 20 minutes until it would be ready, we gave it an extra 5 minutes and when we arrived we only had to wait a very short time before they handed us our order. Service - They were slammed! But, they did not let that affect their level of service. From the phone to the counter, they were pleasant, helpful and friendly. No complaints at all from a service level! Decor/Interior - This was the only "meh" part of the experience. The place was run down and in need of a deep cleaning and a tad bit of updating. From the bleached out menu photos to the outdated artwork, worn seating/tables to the dirty floors...while I don't expect P.F Changs level decor, I do expect the place to be somewhat kept up with.
