Firstly , I want to get this out of the way . This is my first time here and they are very inconsistent with their system on how they receive and place orders. Some customers were provided a number and some weren't .. This includes the customers that call in orders . I noticed some people were there before me and were waiting for 40 minutes or more for what only supposed to have been a 15 minutes wait. The cooks looked just as frustrated as the patrons . The owners of the Dragon 168 Marietta location told me they don't own this location and are not affiliated with them and I should have listened. Stopped in for a small order of chicken fried rice and at first I was pleased - thinking - wow, what a generous portion. But here's the thing - there was very little chicken in it. There might have been 5 pencil eraser sized pieces throughout the entire order. It was also extremely greasy. The young lady who took my order was friendly but super distracted. She also told me the chicken was white meat. It was white and dark. With most pieces being dark and gristly. And here's what's even stranger - even though they are NOT affiliated with the other Dragon 168, i guess they really liked the photos I took for that location because they took my Yelp photos from that page and actually put them on their website - in their gallery. Oh. And the fortune cookies were missing fortunes. Both of them. Side-eye. This really should be a 1 star review. read more

I loved this restaurant when I lived in Powder Springs 3yrs ago. I even wrote a review. I was in the area today and thought about their delicious egg rolls, so I stopped in. Unbeknownst to me the restaurant is now under new management. The food was horrible. I was soooo angry when I got home (20 miles away) and taste the food. I wish I could throw this food in their face!!!! The egg roll had no flavor, well all the food had no flavor not even salt. The Krab Rangoon had no Krab. The fried rice was orange and sticky. The fact that they stay open to basically 10pm as long as you order by 9:45pm which is when they close, deserves a review that starts at two stars. Now, as for the food, it's typical Chinese takeout. It's not gourmet, or a sit down restaurant so my expectations are not set high. When it comes to Chinese takeout, as long as it's eatable you pass the test. Here the food is definitely eatable. I actually really like the fried chicken wings and I think they have good egg rolls. Those are the only items I would say are good. Everything else is just ok. They have great customer service here so I think that alone deserves repeat business. I used to go here several times a month for lunch. The food was always consistently good, not great but worth coming back for lunch. No more! I've watched the kitchen changes over the past year. It has gone down markedly. Today's was the last time I will give them my money. I ordered pork egg foo young. I'm not sure what was in it, but not the usual pork. For what it's worth, I've known the owners for over 20 years, and this is my go to Chinese restaurant, but it really saddens me that other establishments bearing the same name soils the quality of the reviews for them. They once owned both the restaurants in Marietta, as well as Powder Springs, but have consolidated the family to running one location. The Powder Springs location is still TOP of their game, with excellent food, and great portions. I only wish they kept their name to themself to avoid the negativity that many have been witness to. I ordered Hunan Chicken, egg drop soup and an egg roll. The Hunan Chicken and the rice was the worst I've ever had. The soup was not good, and the egg roll was ok at best. Yes it's probably on the greasy side and not what I would consider gourmet lol, but it's chinese take-out. If you're coming here expecting otherwise, your expectations are way out of wack. + Service is great. They've never gotten an order wrong. Customer service has always been spot on. And I've never had issues with my food specifically (ie; no hair, bugs or suspicious meats) + Prices are reasonable. While they could lower the price on the egg rolls lol, the cost across the menu is typical for chinese take-out Americanized chinese fast food take-out. It is what it is and it's actually good. Have I had better? Yes. But those places were over near Buford highway. For Powder Springs, I'd say this gets the job done. read more

Update**** seems this place can be a hit or miss. Not consistent with the flavors, example would be this wonton soup. It felt water down, oily and was flavorless. Mei fun was good. This is just your normal Chinese joint. Small places like this I like to call them fast food. Service is pretty quick, considering I waited only 5 mins for my shrimp and lobster sauce. Surprisingly chicken was added to it, which was odd. They didn't give me an option if i wanted white or fried rice, it slipped my mind to ask. Once I did, he said fried rice and It was too late. The gentleman offered to fix it, but I didn't want to cause that trouble. Wonton soup came with my order, and it was delicious, I love places that add Ginger into their soups! One of your standard Ameri-nese restaurants, but who can disagree with dishes like General Tso's Chicken or Vegetable Lo Mein after a long night? This particular one stands out from others I've visited. The portions are huge, they cram a quart into a pint, they are tasty with nice thick sauces, and even the broccoli has that satisfying steamed crunch. The prices are also very moderate, and they cook everything up fresh and fast. As an aside, that vegetable lo mein is really good the next day cold when shared with a SO if you two forget to eat it the night before. ;) read more

I've lived in this area for just over 20 years - not quite sure how long they've been open, but I've been getting takeout from them since they did open, and I kid you not.... they have NEVER, EVER gotten ONE single takeout order wrong (!!). I'm my nearly 50 years of existence I've never seen a restaurant with that kind of track record of "zero" mistakes on takeout! So while sometimes the food is good but not excellent, it's good enough and priced well for a quick Asian meal. I've never gotten sick eating there and the portion sizes are also very good too. This is my favorite take out spot! I come here often on weekends and order pork fried rice with boneless rib plus an egg roll and I end up paying less than $12! I've been eating here for about 9 years. Has been pretty decent, good enough to not make you sick but nothing to drive miles for. Went there on Thursday for the first time in a couple of months. Noticed that there are a bunch of new people running the place. Was a little bit scared. The previous family that ran the place was very nice. I ordered the seafood delight and chicken chow fun noodles for myself and sesame chicken with light sauce for my son. We were pleasantly surprised. The seafood delight had a bunch of large shrimp and very little fake 'crab' and was very good. The sesame chicken was full of large chunks of chicken not full of dough like in previous times. The taste was also good without excessive salt or sugar. Although I miss the people who ran the old place, I am glad that the management has changed. read more
