These days Peking is my favorite Chinese food place. I'm usually get the lunch specials- which are enough for two meals for me. Comes with soup even when ordered to go. Everyone there has been super friendly. Love the chow mein and lemon chicken. Egg flower soup is pretty good also. read more

Not too many decent Chinese/Cantonese restaurants in the general Solano County area but this place reminds me of home (Bay Area). Been coming here for takeout--particularly Beef Broccoli ($13.95) and Tomato Beef Chow Mein dishes ($11.75). Usually comes to about $30, and they give pretty big portions! Enough for me to split all the food into 3-4 lunch boxes for my medical student lifestyle ;) I call ahead and they can have it ready in 5-20min for my hangry self. When I am in the Fairfield area, every fall to assist during the crush wine season at Tolenas winery, I always make this one of my stops once or twice during my stay. I have never eaten in, so I cannot comment on the service but when they take out, the process is always seamless and the employees are polite. Love the food here, reminds me of New York Chinese food. This restaurant has been around for a while. Not a big fan of Chinese food, unless it's a really good hole in the wall restaurant in the city. But when I crave Mushu pork or even hot soup on a winter day, I go to this restaurant. I've tried different soups and there's not one I don't like - all were good! We're had the Honey Walnut Prawns - also good. The sweet and sour spare ribs were good. But my favorite is the mushu pork - yum! This is a good local, small business to support. read more

I absolutely love this place!! I've been looking for a good Chinese place since our local restaurant closed. These guys fit the bill. Their moo shu pork is outstanding with good quality pancakes; tomato beef chow mein had excellent flavor and texture. And their lettuce wrap was awesome. Peking Resturant has still been my go-to spot for chinese food because there aren't any good spots in Fairfield/Suisun City. Lately, I've been extremely disappointed in the quality. The food is picture perfect, and it looks scrumptious. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and chicken chow mein lunch special order when I came here, and it cost over $14.00. Today, I not only ordered my usual, but my portion of the chicken was very small. I was only able to eat 3 edible pieces of it because the batter was so crunchy and hard. There wasn't chicken inside of most pieces, either. I paid all of that money to not be able to enjoy the food due to the quality. I love the chow mein here, but I was shocked to see how much oil it was drenched in. This was my first time ever experiencing this here. I won't be back this time. read more

08/01/2020 Peking restaurant is currently open for takeout. They have a small waiting area inside safe enough for two at a time. I ordered two lunch plates: honey glazed walnut shrimp and orange chicken. Total was about 24$. The serving was really large and was not able to finish it all. Lunch meal comes with your choice of white rice, fried rice, or chow mein noodles, plus a side of soup ,1 egg roll, and a fortune cookie. "If both your feet are planted firmly on the ground, nothing can shake you" Ok let's talk about the service and taste. Customer service was great and the way they setup the wait area felt really safe. They have separated the counter/ cashier area with clear dividers and there is enough space to practice social distancing. Food is really good. I haven't eaten here in a really long time but I enjoyed it all. I forgot how much I love the walnut shrimp here. The batter is different than most places and it makes the fried shrimp bouncy, light and poofy looking. Fried rice is super tasty and they give you a lot! Orange chicken is cut into nice meaty strips. The batter is similar to the walnut shrimp and it's not over sauced. I got this one with noodles. Noodles were also yummy and there's a nice serving a veggies in the noodles too. Egg drop soup is so good. My 4 year old loves it. The egg roll and sweet and sour sauce brought me back to my childhood days... Overall food was made in about ten minutes, packed up really nice, and everything was still hot and fresh by the time I got home. This place was located in a strip mall. So easy enough to locate and park. We had a large party and they accommodated us. I must say I was skeptical as our party was large and sometimes places under season/cook meals, but this place was the exception. Very tasty food. We had chow mein, fried rice, orange chicken and string beans. The only reason I gave only 3 is because I rarely give 5 and a 4 rating would have been an exceptionally excellent place. My family used to come here a lot before they changed owners or management. The quality of food and service then was good. I'm a family member warned me about the changed, and she wasn't kidding. Went there, ate dine in for their lunch special the experience was horrible. I ordered wonton soup, it came with broken semi-wrapped won tons and they literally just "topped" it with spinach leaves that were visibly not fresh. The half cut mushrooms looked like they were half washed, and the soup tasted like it was poured out from a Costco carton broth. We also ordered eggplant with garlic sauce lunch plate with fried rice, with egg roll and side of egg drop soup. That wasn't satisfying either. I had to get the server's attention 3 times who was watching TV, for sweet and sour sauce for my egg roll that I only had a bite of, then waited for hot tea that was never given. A co-worker recommended this place to me so I decided to stop by. I placed my order to go and was told about a 20 minute wait. Come back 20 minutes later and walk in ahead of 2 other people. Person at the front goes on and helps the other 2 people even though the other 2 people informed him I was there first. He ignores them and helps them out anyways. He then proceeds to continue to ignore me as he prepares other orders. When he finally decides to help me I find my order had been sitting on a table all along. All he had to do was hand it to me. I'm visiting the area so I'm staying at a near by hotel. I get to my room and come to find out they failed to put any kind of utensils in the bag for me. Food was ok. Nothing special. Food was great but service was disappointing. Took my mom here for her Birthday last month and service was very slow. Never had a refill on our water. My cup was empty and it was so hard to get someone's attention. Our waitress was busy attaining other tables and taking care of her baby at the same time. We weren't asked if we needed anything or if we wanted a refill. The won ton soup was good and the fried duck I would consider ordering here. Duck was very crispy which was a plus. I'd like to give this place a chance again someday and I hope they do much better with the service. They are over priced and charged me FIVE dollars for sauce. When I asked for extra sauce on the phone the price wasn't mentioned. I paid cash and had five dollars left over and magically the price for the sauce was five dollars. Definitely won't be coming here again. The people over at golden Phoenix have way better service and are happy to provide extra sauce at NO charge. What do they expect people to do with two tiny sauces for a whole meal. Not to mention the plastic condiment holders it's in is melted. Terrible service. Atmosphere inside could use some work. Not a real big dining area and the area int he back of room looks uninviting. Was greeted and seated very quickly. The waitress was very friendly and helpful with the menu. I chose the honey walnut shrimp lunch portion. The shrimp was a little over cooked and was crunchy like it was fried chicken. The rice was a good consistency and loaded with LOTS of chicken, they definitely didn't skimp on it. I really enjoyed there noodles PERFECT! I did not like the soup was TOOoooo THICK tasted like a GRAVY not a soup. Was also not as hot as i would have liked it. Also, the egg roll was barely warm and tasted stale but down the hatch it went anyway.
