The fact that they not only made delicious chicken, but also made perforations (holes) in the top of the to-go box to allow the heat to escape to prevent condensation from getting on the food is astounding. It's a lady and her husband who own the restaurant and they are the only two who work there. My wife and I ordered the rainbow fried rice which came with beef, chicken (thigh meat), and fresh tail on shrimp and sautéed in like a savory sweet and sour sauce. Let me first start off by saying the owners of this restaurant are SO sweet. The wife mans the floor while the husband is in charge of the kitchen. They make their noodles in house, which is super cool. My husband and I sat down and the wife came over and showed us pictures of the menu from her phone and helped us decide what to order. My husband is from San Francisco and says if the restaurant was in SF that the food would be only mediocre. However, we're in Killeen, and it's been challenging finding good food since we moved here from Seattle. We give the food four stars, but bumped it up to five because of the service. This place surprisingly has some really great Korean food considering it adjoined to a gas station. The bulgogi and Korean hot wings are a must. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. They have a varied menu with vegetarian options such as orange egg plant and vegetable deluxe. Great options for appetizers are the Korean wings and the dried fried ribs , it's also great if you like a little spice. Since I was close to the area I went ahead and tried it. There was nobody in there when I waked in. The owners wife was cleaning tables and she was kind and offered me their menu. I ordered to go since it was a really late lunch for me and wanted to go home and the enjoy the food. I didn't know what to order, and the wife was very helpful and she told me that her husband can fix anything for me. So, I went ahead and ordered the seafood noodle soup without the imitation crab meat and the rainbow fried rice. She mentioned that the noodles are homemade. It took several minutes for my order to arrive and I had pleasant conversation with his wife while I waiting. Anyways when I got home I poured the soup over the noodles and the seafood tasted really fresh and wasn't over cooked. The noodles was good, but it seems like the broth is missing something else though. Not enough flavor for me. The rainbow fried rice is good and took me 3 days to eat all of it, lol.... So Killeen downtown has been working hard to get people to come recently, the Peking restaurant certainly will get you coming back for sure! Wow! The food is superbly done by the chef, everything we had was amazing! The Ja Ja Ming (I think that's what it is called) with the black sauce and homemade noodles were so chewy, fresh and tasted incredible! This is by far the best locally or nationally owned restaurant in Killeen! The owners here take a certain pride in their business and you can tell. Restaurant is very clean and you feel your at home with the owners! We had the Hot Wings and if you ever want to try the best wings EVER, you must get them! We have tried many places that serve hot wings, but the Peking restaurant beats them all! We will always get an order of them! The egg rolls were fresh and you can get them with just vegetables or with chicken....i normally do not like egg rolls because sometimes there is too much cabbage, but these were perfect! This place tasted like the food had been sitting for hours, it was not homemade, it just was very fast food tasting. They forgot the ordered egg roll that was paid for as well. The tofu was extremely mushy and not firm. Won't be going back. The food in the pics is vastly different from what was served. This place just opened.
