Vegetarian Fried Rice, Soup & Japchae noodles with tofu. All Vegetarian!

This Korean restaurant was a truly wonderful discovery! We were so impressed by their ability to prepare all our dishes vegetarian. Each one was exceptional, from the flavorful Daenjang Jjigae soup brimming with vegetables and tofu, to the satisfying veggie fried rice with tofu, and the perfectly cooked Japchae noodles with tofu. The experience was elevated by the generous spread of eight diverse and delicious side dishes. A must-try for incredible Korean cuisine & Vegetarian food! Service was excellent.

Walk in go to the register and ask for a menu, sit down at a clean table and after reading said menu walk back up and place your order regardless of if the food is to go or to dine in. OR Walk in find a clean table and sit down when they see you they will bring you a menu. Both are acceptable was to order but the later may take a little longer if they are busy. Tip well, mind your manners (this is a classy albeit super casual place). Don't let the old, well used building scare you off, they keep it clean and the food is beyond delicious. They make the best bulgogi I have ever had and y'all I have had a lot. Their fried rice is insanely good and their sides were fresh and tasty. Hands down the best meal I have had in a very long time.

Restaurant does not look like much from the store front with a simple design, but once inside the food served is delicious. I love Korean cuisine and was glad to find a restaurant with authentic food as it is hard to find sometimes. The food was amazing and helped introduce a friend to a new taste of food. I went back again and the food was consistent and tasted better than the first time. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

A complete hole in the wall in the middle of nowhere. The most unexpected location for THE BEST Korean restaurant in Texas I've tried. The place is run by chef-owner-mom and server-cashier-son. How the two manage to serve everyone in timely fashion is remarkable. But when you factor in the quality and taste of the food, it's just impossible how they do it. Banchan spread is the best--so many variety and each probably take so much time and effort to make. Every entrée item I've tried is so delicious, but their soups will renew your soul. And the japchae... you've not had japchae until you've had it here. I live in Austin, but this place is worthy of the long drive. Can't wait to go back!

Everything from the hot tea to all the items we received were absolutely delicious. Most authentic tasting Korean food you can experience in the area. I highly recommend this place. Great customer as well.

A very special hole in the wall korean restaurant! The staff was extremely friendly, we called 15 minutes before arriving and asked if we could place and order ahead of time because we were in a rush and they were very willing. We ordered galbi, teok mandu guk, spicy beef soup, and beef fried rice. All of the dishes were amazing and flavorful. I loved the experience!

I dined-in for the first time with a Korean family member early afternoon. Apparently, this restaurant is the oldest in town, and very popular. I had eaten their takeout before a few times, never having been before. Their food was really good, so I was excited to come. I had the closest Korean experience right here than I have had outside of The county. (I have lived there before.). Be prepared to share a table with strangers. First of all, I agree with another review that the facade is not one to write home about. The place was really busy, despite how rundown and disorderly it is. I was surprised at how quiet it was even with the two TV's running. The restaurant has darkened windows. About this time of day it is very bright outside, so be sure to prepare for some sun when you leave. Safety is a big issue for me, and the restroom area was dark, the door lock was tricky, and the women's toilet seat is not secure. It looks like the room hadn't been cleaned in a week, and the hand dryer didn't work. They had plenty of napkins on the table to dry though. It smells like flowers, and I liked the soap. Onto the food ... Help yourself to the menu on the counter. It is in a small binder. It hasn't been cleaned, so just remember to wash your hands. The sweet waitress brought the cold barley tea, but I got the straws from the counter. It's a laid back restaurant. After a long wait, the food arrived and it was extremely tasty, however, I'm not sure if the quantity is worth the price. My Dolsot Bibimbop was very small and served in a cracked pot. I loved the crunchy rice at the bottom! The pun chun was good, but they choose which ones to give to you. As you can see from my photo I had to ask for the white one. The food went right through me within 15 minutes of leaving. If I was desiring Korean food close-by, I would order takeout from here. I would come back. Enjoy!

Hidden Korean gem in Killeen! This hole in the wall, mom and pop shop serves up some delicious Korean food! Lots of spicy stir fry options and soup options, banchan side dishes are traditional and extremely tasty. Osam Bulgogi is one of my favorites from here (a spicy porkbelly and squid stir fry), along with the "cow head soup". Tteokbokki was mediocre, would not order again. Hard to find a restaurant that does good tteokbooki.

This is our go to spot for Korean Food! The cook is the sweetest person and I love her spunky personality! The kimichi tofu stew is my favorite and absolute best. I've tried other places in the Killeen area and nothing beats this one! They have more side dishes compared to others and they're all so tasty! Some people might find the wait a little long, but IT'S WORTH IT!!

Best authentic Korean food in the area. Hands down! It's family owned and you can't go wrong with basically anything on the menu.

5 out of 5 Living in…read morethe Austin area, you don't expect to find a legit Korean pocha experience in Killeen, but K1 & Bobapop is exactly that--a solid bar food and drinks spot that knows what it is and does it well. We've driven past this place countless times on our way from Austin to Dallas, finally gave it a shot, and we're glad we did. ---- Pros: - Great Korean bar food (pocha-style) - Solid drink menu (soju, soju slushes, and beer) - K-pop music videos playing on the TVs sets the mood - Karaoke bar and Bobapop (boba/desserts) - Open late (until 2 AM Thu-Sat) - Ample parking - Call button at each table for service Side Notes: - Opens at 4 PM daily (Sun opens at noon, closes at 10 PM) - Can get busy on weekends - plan accordingly - Delivery available through DoorDash and Uber Eats What We Got: - Soy Garlic Wings - Galbi - Tteokbokki (Spicy Rice Cakes) - Kimchi Fries - Corn Cheese - Soju + Terra ---- Design/Space: K1 has that authentic Korean pub feel - neon signs, K-pop videos on the TVs, and a trendy but casual vibe that makes you feel like you're at a late-night spot in Seoul, not off the Central Texas Expressway. The space is on the smaller, more intimate side, so tables are close together, but that's standard for a pocha. It works for the vibe they're going for. The Bobapop section is a nice touch if you want boba or dessert after, and having karaoke next door gives you a reason to stay longer. It's well thought out as an all-in-one experience. Services/Staff: This is where K1 really impressed us. The staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there. We were greeted right away, and our server walked us through the menu without making us feel rushed. The call button at the table is a nice touch - you press it when you need something, so you're not awkwardly flagging someone down (typical in LA, but not in Austin much). Drinks were refilled, and food came out at a good pace. Compared to some other Korean spots we've been to in the area, the energy here felt right for a pocha--friendly, casual, and lively without being over the top. Food/Drinks: I want to be clear - this is bar food, and that's exactly what it should be. K1 isn't trying to be a fine dining Korean restaurant, and that's what makes it work. It's a pocha. You come here for good fried chicken, some rice cakes, cold soju, and a good time. And on that front, they deliver. Opportunities to Enhance: A couple of small things. One, for how good this place is, more people need to know about it - their social media and online presence could use a push, because this spot deserves more foot traffic. Two, being Korean, would love to see more bar food bites from Korea, but might live octopus with sesame oil + salt might not be something the area is ready for, haha. Again, these are minor--the core of what they're doing is already solid. ---- Summary: K1 & Bobapop is exactly what Killeen needed - a legit Korean pocha experience with great bar food, solid drinks, and a fun atmosphere. It's a spot where you go to eat good fried chicken, drink soju, watch K-pop videos, maybe sing some karaoke, and have a great time. We'll absolutely be back, and if you're in the Killeen/Fort Cavazos area and haven't tried it yet, you're sleeping on one of the best spots in town. Keep doing what you're doing, K1.

Celebrated my birthday dinner here with friends (& the kids!) on Friday the 13th. The food portions…read morewere a good size and flavor was wonderful. We ordered 3 ramens, 1 cheese buldak, 2 yaki sobas, 1 chicken tenders, 1 large boneless (soy garlic & regular sweet & spicy flavors), 1 bulgogi fries, 2 chocolate milkshakes, 1 chocolate milk tea with boba, 1 soju slushie I think?, 1 coke, and 1 Dos Equis on tap. Plus 1 tteokbokki to go. Total came out to $266 and some change. Service was alright. They didn't bring out the drinks and utensils before the food came out. And, for a large party you would expect more water than their one standard size be provided for the table. We had a small spill at the table and the servers didn't show much urgency to help us clean up, as we had to ask for napkins multiple times both for the table and the spill. Our party agreed in the end that we would probably prefer takeout from here in the future since we enjoyed the food, but not the service.
