They didn't check everything- but things like the cabin filter and air filter- I changed earlier, so I wasn't overly concerned. I was alarmed though when the tech didn't come to the window and ask what oil I wanted. I had to run out and stop him. Pelham Manor Lube employs bait and switch tactics. Before I agreed to their oil change price, I inquired with the technician if they had the proper filters for my car. I was quoted $152. After they emptied the oil they advised me that the price increased to $175 because a different oil filter was required. Just went to get my car an oil change. I thought it should be free as their policy is 6 oil changes , the 7th one is free. Well this was the 7 th one & I got charged! Then proceeded to tell me the rear brakes need service. He tried to sell me services, when I said no, he then proceeded to charge for a supposedly free service. So before leaving pissed off, they told me next oil change will be free! If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would. I honestly don't even know where to start. I just paid $50 for an "express" wash that supposedly includes vacuuming and cleaning the cup holders, and this is how my car was handed back to me -- dirty cup holders, debris still everywhere, back seats never cleaned, and trunk mats that clearly were NEVER touched. At this point, I could've asked my toddler to clean the inside and she probably would've done a better job. The outside may look decent, but that's not what I paid for. If you're going to rush services because it's busy or nice outside, then charge less -- because this level of work is absolutely unacceptable and honestly disgusting. What makes this worse is that this isn't my first issue here. The last time I came, one of my daughter's items went missing and I had to follow up myself and request camera footage to resolve it. I've been coming to this car wash for years and have never had a problem--until today. I paid $86 for a deluxe in-and-out wash. You'd think that for $86, the car would at least be clean, right? Wrong. There was still dirt inside the door frames, under the door handles, and all over the trunk. There were even dirt marks on the trunk rugs. My air freshener was also removed. My car is white, so it's very easy to see where the dirty spots are. I truly wanted to be happy after taking my car here for the first time. I paid extra for wax and honestly it doesnt look like wax was even applied. I watched the guys spray the inside of the windows and talk to each other while the cleaner dripped all over and into all the cracks, then they wiped it. The inside of the doors were half dirty. Cup holders not even touched. Steering wheel still had dust on it. And there was some dried up specs of something on my drivers side window and door that wasn't there before. As for the cleaning of the cars the service is what you would expect from these car washes. The oil change tech tried to tell me that I needed a special oil filter for synthetic oil which is bogus. After telling them i just wanted the regular one they still installed it in my vehicle and up charged me an extra $10. You would think that these kind of services would be a better value than the dealership but the fact is that they charge more for the same service. Great place to have a wash, oil change and NYS Inspections. Hopefully the owner or manager monitors Yelp reviews. I would ask him/her to improve the communication between the staff in the work area and the customers sitting in the waiting area. A mechanic was looking for me to discuss my service but I didn't know because it was hard to understand him. He was yelling out from a window in a glass partition that opens between the shop and sitting area. You have so much technology in your business. Please find a way to improve communication. Perhaps the mechanic can use an interface that lets customers know to go to the window. It would save your men time for sure. read more

The workers barely understand English so as I was explaining something to one of them, they just looked at me like I had 2 heads. Also, the service is absolutely horrible. I don't know what kind of machines they have inside the car wash but they do not pick up dirt at all. I had a few spots on one of my doors and sending the car through the washer did absolutely nothing and also them drying it and finishing up cleaning the car did not get rid of the dirt. Worst customer service experience ever. They scratched my car and did not remove my antenna. They have always removed my antenna before and this time " Norman" the alleged manager tells me it's my responsibility to remove it myself. So you have to guess if they will or won't remove it after your car enters the wash. I then alerted him the a large scratch that was not there before. Stay away from any services furthering a regular oil change or a wash, which by the way is also bad. took my semi new truck to get oil change at this place , I had been there before and they suggested I did transmisión oil change so I told them to do it. The next day my transmission was shot. I called them I made them open the hood and check. The manager and two people with me saw it was missing oil. Then after arguing for a while they suggested their mechanic to fix the transmission to which I still had to pay part of. They took for ever to fix it. Finally I get my truck back, but now it feels a little different. I paid no attention. A few weeks later check engine light goes on and noise increased. I go to the dealer. And now I had to pay $2700 for the catalytic converter that was damaged by the mechanic they took my truck to fix the transmission.
