Everything was sold out, and after calling around with no luck, I finally found BridgeWalk on Yelp. Noah answered and was AMAZING from the start!!He helped us secure a last-minute weekend BridgeWalk and we drove over right away. As a mom, this meant everything to me--our youngest is on the spectrum, and he was completely calm and comfortable in the room. That rarely happens when we travel, so having a space that felt safe for him was huge. The room was spotless, the bathroom was super clean (we loved the shower and tub combo) and the enclosed balcony was such a nice touch. Every staff member from parking to front desk to housekeeping was kind, welcoming, and professional. The location is perfect! There areshops and restaurants downstairs, Daiquiri Deck across the street, mini golf for the kids, and the beach just steps away. They also provide beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels, which made everything so easy for our family. We loved it so much, we extended another night! As a mom who values comfort, cleanliness, and genuine service this place is a 10/10. We will absolutely be back.

Our 2nd day, they moved us from our beautiful gulf front room to a room upstairs so they could sand bag our original room for the hurricane. On the 3rd morning, we were told we had to mandatory evacuate. We had to scramble to find another hotel to stay at, and had to pay for those nights as well, of course. Tortuga Inn will not refund our money and Expedia says they can't refund our money because Tortuga Inn won't. My credit card company tried to help also, but Tortuga Inn waited until almost the last day they legally had to respond before the ruling would go in my favor, then said no because we "never cancelled." (We were told to leave and handed our key to a person at the office. It's been a 2 month ordeal trying to get a refund and it looks like we are screwed. I will never ever consider staying at this shady establishment again!

With a sitting area in our two bedroom, we enjoyed the recliner and couch as we watched movies in the evening. In our full kitchen, we stocked the refrigerator from the local Publix and made our breakfast and lunch, which we packed for the beach. Many guests chose to grill out as we saw when we would load up to go to a local restaurant for dinner, but we preferred eating out! On our first night at Hurricane Hanks restaurant down the road, we met up with a resident who offered us more ideas for restaurants for dinner. There's nothing like walking right out onto the beach to spend a morning watching the waves, seeing dolphins frolic, observing osprey catching their breakfast, and swimming in the water among schools of fish. Many of the guests knew each other from yearly vacations, and we have already made our reservation for next year! Anna Maria Island is quiet and family friendly. White Sands Resort offers shuffleboard and corn hole right next to the pool, but the best show is the sunset. For starters it was such a lovely location, our room was directly on the beach. We had a million dollar view and front row seats for God's handywork of a fantastic sunset. Earlier we spend time in the ocean, it was warm and delighful! In the evening, we went the sort distance to Anna Marie and enjoyed a wonderful dinner. The room was beautiful and inviting with king bed and magnifient bathroom. Lastly the staff was the best asset of the Inn. Ivan and Nicole were the best and demonstrated a high degree of customer service. They answered our many questions and helped us to get settled. I had made an error in booking ( be aware of the type of room you are booking from beach front to beach side). They worked very quickly to remidy my mistake. We plan to return later this summer for started.
