Came in on a Monday morning for breakfast after a job walk. Got there right when they opened. Out server bought over coffee fast, we looked over the menu and ordered. Both of my co-workers got the Maria's Omelette which came with Bacon, Sausage, tomato, onions, Swiss Cheese and Country Potatoes. They both said it was good. I got my usually, Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs with Hashbrowns. It was good and the country gravy was tasty!! The service was good, she kept our coffee and water full.

No salt, no flavor, skimpy portions and high prices. Everything you don't want in a breakfast spot. I wouldn't recommend. The coffee is watered down also. Not for me. Maybe I came on an off day but I wouldn't come back again to risk it.

Always have Great service here. The staff is always friendly and the food is great! There has never been a bad service each time I have visited this place. So many options to choose from a great variety.

Anna's which was called Lugos many years ago is a small breakfast spot in Hayward. They serve American breakfast as well as Mexican breakfast. They have fresh Salsa daily, just ask for it. Also if you prefer to have tortillas instead of bread they will accommodate you. Today I had the breaded steak and eggs with gravy, toast and hash browns. They did not disappoint, it was delicious. The waitress will always say bye with a Dios lo bendiga(God Bless you!)The employees take pride in serving and will treat you right. Get there early as the lot fills up fast, but no worries there is plenty of parking across the street.

I've driven past this place a million times and finally decided to give it a shot for breakfast. The restaurant looks small on the outside but feels much bigger on the inside. I arrived around 9am on a Saturday morning and was seated as soon as we walked in the door. I immediately noticed it was an older restaurant and definitely in need of a remodel. The food prices are reasonable but, unfortunately, the food itself was just average. The only things that really "wowed" me was the salsa that came automatically with the breakfast and the waitress was also very nice. I don't think I'll rush back but I'm glad I finally tried it.

Living in Hayward most of my life & finally made it to check this place out. It did not disappoint. Delicious authentic food, generous portion and fair price. The service was great. The staff was very insightful in answering our questions to help us decide what to order. They is plenty if parking and it's surprisingly spacious inside with a cozy, local cafe feel (decor is dated but the flavor and price of food makes up for it). Can't wait to come back and try other items.

My boyfriend and I came here late morning into the afternoon on a Sunday. It was fairly busy so there was about a 10 minute wait for us to be seated. This restaurant is very cozy and feels like home. They serve breakfast and lunch items. The food was good although did not arrive to my table hot and we waited about 25 minutes for our food. Service was on the slower side this morning. I ordered the chorizo and egg plate, the rice was especially cool but the eggs were hot, this was served with a side of 3 tortillas and medium spicy salsa which I enjoyed. Serving sizes were pretty good. My boyfriend got the sausage and gravy breakfast platter with hash browns and scrambled eggs. This was also pretty tasty with some hot sauce. This place was good at best.

I love Anna's. I have not found a place that makes Machaca this good. It us one of my favorite thing to eat. If it's in the menu I order it and so far , Anna makes the best. This is the best spot for Mexican breakfast food. The service is excellent. The ladies are so attentive and quick. My husband loves their chilaquiles, can't get enough of them. He always comes back to it every time.

My girlfriend and I stopped by here for a brunch/ late breakfast this past Saturday. We arrived around noon and the place was busy but not fully occupied. We were promptly seared and given menus. The restaurant itself is reminiscent of old school diners I've seen on the east coast. Very quaint and honey , which I appreciate a lot. For our meals, I got a black coffee and an order of chilaquiles with red sauce and my girlfriend got cheese enchiladas and an iced coffee Food came out fairly quickly and was good. The beans and rice on both dishes were perfect. I enjoyed the chilaquiles a lot - my only comment is that I wish the red sauce had a little more oomph to it. My girlfriend enjoyed her cheese enchiladas - cheese enchiladas don't lend themselves the best for structural integrity but from a flavor perspective she said it hit the spot. Service here was very nice - our waitress was friendly and consistently checked on us to make sure we were doing alright. All in all, this place provides as a solid no frills breakfast option serving classic American and Mexican breakfast dishes. I'd definitely stop by here again. 4/5

Early Sunday morning, I was out running errands with the o'hana, and we had time to grab breakfast. My cousin, AM, visits Anna's Coffee Shop/Restaurant every so often, that's how we ended up here . Restaurant front - https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=O6EBodP3Fgu_n67efSKnBQ&start=24&select=TCUcacgXNo5JqmGdg_Q9Aw This old-school coffee shop sits on a small corner lot off Jackson--blink, and you might miss it. The small parking lot shares space with a neighboring business. As I browsed the menu, I was excited to see linguica on offer. As usual, I had a tough time deciding what to order... Decisions, decisions, decisions. I thought about getting the linguica but ended up choosing the Waffle Combo with sausage and over-easy eggs ($16). It had been a while since I had waffles. This was a good, basic, simple breakfast--cooked perfectly. He must have enjoyed it--he finished everything except for one piece of toast. Photo - https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=O6EBodP3Fgu_n67efSKnBQ&start=24&select=2Rjui6xcQsJml-wxC6l4Ug My niece, JP, ordered the Chile Verde with refried beans and rice ($17). She didn't say much--she was too busy enjoying her meal. (Good portions; she took half of it to-go.) We each got the salmon bagel, tea, and a latte, then found a table on their cozy and beautiful back patio. The drinks came out in beautifully painted drink ware. This place was such a nice spot to catch up and chit chat over good food. The servers were super friendly and helpful, and we never once felt rushed to leave or vacate our table. The noise level was just right, too. The restaurant itself is small and cute, but my mom and I were seated right away at around noonish on Sunday! That might have been because everyone was busy at world cup parties, though. We ordered: - thai iced teas - the khao hom waffle - samosas - roti with curry dip - koong karee The thai teas were unfortunately on the milky side, and weren't very strong tasting. I recommend the lychee iced tea instead! When I used to go, I always got the thai tea pancake but they have since removed it from their menu. Although this was a pretty devastating revelation, I went with their waffle instead. I thought that the waffle still super delicious, and I loved that it had coconut meat cooked into the batter. It comes garnished with fruit and coconut flakes, which was a plus. While I thought it was a delicious choice, I do not think it was a proper replacement for my thai tea pancake. The samosas and roti were both so delicious, flavorful, and savory. The portions aren't huge, but the flavors make up for it. The koong karee was the star of the show! The prawns were so well cooked, and came in the most delicious egg & curry sauce. I loved the vegetables that came in the dish, as well. You can't go wrong with the tiger prawns, and they go so well with some jasmine rice on the side. Overall, we keep coming back for good reason! The food is always so yummy, and I would definitely recommend you give this place a try. I hope they take this review as a plea for them to bring the thai tea pancake back, though! It was that good. Regardless, I will be back!

The wait to order wasn't too long, maybe 15 minutes? While you wait, you pass by a display of cookies and they even have samples out for everyone to try. The staff was very nice, even though they were super busy! We tried: - Free chips & salsa: These are a must everytime I visit denica's. They are a great snack while you wait for your meal. 9/10 - The ube pancakes: These were pretty solid. I didn't think that the pancakes themselves had a very strong ube flavor, if any. I think all of the flavor was in the ube coconut sauce that they come with. However, there is only sauce on the first layer so you might want to get extra! It is an additional $2.75 or so to get the extra side of ube sauce, though. The pancakes themselves could have been a little more moist and fluffy, as they were a bit dry and dense. I loved the fruit and sauce, so that definitely made up for it! I'm glad that I got to try, but I don't think I'd get them again. Instead, I would get a regular pancake and a side of the ube coconut cream! 8/10 - The chorizo burrito: My bf said that this was also a pretty good option. He thought that it could have been a bit more flavorful, but was still satisfied with his meal! 7.5/10 - The side of hash browns: These were good, as to be expected! We sat in the back portion of the restaurant, which seems to possibly be a new addition for them? I'm not sure. I liked all of the picture framework in the front of house, with cute bacon and egg play on jokes. Menus are worn out. Could use a reprint or lamination, but that's minor. Food: Ordered the beignets, a corned beef hash breakfast meal (husband's dish), and a 3 egg pancake combo for myself. Yum! The beignets are more doughy than I expected, but tasted fresh. This is not your princess and the frog beignet, more of a doughnut puff type? I don't know how to describe it exactly, haha. The staff was accommodating in putting their vanilla and chocolate sauces on the side for dipping which I appreciated. Pancake was good, eggs cooked well (I love a place that knows how to cook a soft scramble), while their home fries are not what I expected (I think I typically prefer a more crispy potato), this showed me that I can possibly save myself time in the future when making at home. While not crispy, the home fries were delightful, entirely cooked through with a thin crisp edge. Staff: very kind! You know it is a family run business. The only thing I found mildly off putting was that one of the young servers wore his pajama bottoms. It did not feel like something a server should wear. But, if the place is a "come as you are" kind of a place, I understand. Overall: we will come back. Good food for a good price. Overall a good atmosphere and positive vibe.
