They are contracted through Cochise County. I attended the clinic in Tombstone yesterday at the Small Animal Shelter, which ran from 9am to 10am. Desert Cross crew and volunteers worked the stations. My five-year old GSD Gretel needed her rabies. I live in Sierra Vista. Tombstone is a 40-minute drive to the shelter on the south side of town. I made sure I got there early so that I wouldn't be in a long line of cars. I had nothing to worry about. I arrived at 9:20am and there were only four cars ahead of me. In the short time I waited in line, a crew member wrote down all my pet's information and contact numbers so by the time it was my pet's turn for her rabies, all I had to do then was hold Gretel's head while the DVM gave her the vaccine between the shoulder blades. Gretel didn't flinch. I never left my vehicle. I was out of there in ten minutes! That's the fastest vaccine clinic I've been to. Everyone working the stations was fast, friendIy, and efficient. I appreciated the drive-thru version as Gretel is very reactive to other dogs. This way she wasn't stressed and neither was I. This clinic takes cash only. Rabies is the only vaccine the clinic provides. but for$20 that is a steal. It also does microchipping for $20. Most clinics now charge $30. It also vaccinates goats and pigs and horses but I didn't see any livestock during my short visit. You get a hand-written certificate and a rabies tag. The crew then went to St David and Benson before returning to home base. That's a lot of driving and makes for a long day, but a valuable community need was fulfilled.

I would not recommend this vaccine administered by this vet. I'm on an antibiotic now and still need to get my dog on one in hopes he survives this horrible episode. A&A Equestrian is a horse boarding and training facility located on 20+ acres in Santa Ynez, CA…read more For me, it's important that (1) Adrianna and Agapito (the owners, trainers, and riding instructors) live on site; (2) There is a large covered arena and a large outdoor arena which makes for good riding all year round; (3) For the horses' living quarters, there is a variety of outdoor pens and paddocks as well as stalls inside the main barn. There is a common tack room and a bathroom with shower. A&A accepts horses in training at all levels and riders of all levels and ages, too. Don't worry if your horse has flunked out of, or bucked off, a few different trainers. They have a couple of schooling horse available for lessons and there are a few cows on site, too. I have been boarding and training at A&A for the past six months and it has resulted in significant improvement in my seat, my aids, my horse's movement and behavior, and my horsemanship skills. Adrianna and Agapito are bonafide dedicated professionals who aim to develop capable riders and horses, whatever the goals may be. Expect to be positively challenged, engaged, and riding. Between the two of them they have experience in Classical and Competitive Dressage, working cows, Hunter/Jumpers, Eventing, Working Equitation, Californio Bridlehorse, and other Western roping and riding styles. The broad experience encourages an inclusive and supportive environment because the focus is not on a specific discipline. In my group lessons, no one is in exactly the same tack as another rider but we are all working on the same foundation that prepares us to do, with success, anything we want to do with our horses. It's great to not be at a "Name Your Discipline" barn but know that at anytime, if I want, I could get specific. Although they make a genuine effort to accommodate and customize services for all, if you are super high maintenance and make demands that dismiss all professional advisement, you may be better off somewhere else. This is not a pristine facility with a dozen staff to accommodate your whims. With that said, vet, farrier, and other services can be scheduled through the barn. If you can't be there, your horse will be taken care of. Most services can be invoiced to you with your monthly board, too.

He presented with a significant hind leg wound/lesion that appeared deep and concerning for possible abscess or infection, with notable surrounding tissue changes. During intake and evaluation, I interacted with Clara (vet tech), Kam (vet tech), Sarah (lead), and Jeff (doctor). I am very disappointed in the treatment and overall handling of my visit. I brought my animal in for a legitimate medical concern and felt that assumptions were immediately made about my intentions and myself personally, rather than focusing on the clinical situation at hand. During the visit, I was made to feel as though I was being viewed with suspicion, including the implication that I was seeking medication for myself or that I had caused harm intentionally. This was inappropriate and distressing in a medical setting. My primary concern is the standard of care provided. My animal was discharged without clear evidence of appropriate diagnostic workup such as imaging, antibiotics, or more advanced wound treatment. From my understanding, the wound was cleaned and then the case was effectively closed without further intervention, despite the severity of the injury. I have attached an image for reference showing the condition at discharge. Overall, I am concerned about both the medical decision making and the professionalism of staff interactions. During the visit, interactions were recorded, which contributed to a sense of being scrutinized rather than supported during an emergency medical situation. As a result of the lack of exotic-specific veterinary services in Sierra Vista, I traveled to Tucson to ensure Oliver could receive appropriate emergency care. Oliver is currently under emergency veterinary care and undergoing further evaluation and treatment. I am documenting this experience due to concerns regarding communication and intake assessment during an emergency exotic animal visit, and I am requesting follow-up from clinic leadership regarding the process. Edit: Following my visit, an employee from the clinic appeared as a suggested account on my Instagram. While this could have been the platform's algorithm, it left me wondering whether my profile had been viewed. Around the same time, LinkedIn notified me that employees from the company had viewed my profile, including a screenshot identifying visitors from the organization. When I raised my concerns, Lindsey the Medical Director denied the clinic looking me up. I can't say with certainty why these events occurred, but the timing contributed to my discomfort regarding my privacy and the overall experience.
