Yum!!! I am a sucker for cookie dough; I will willingly eat it fresh from a plastic tube, raw egg and all. So I knew when Pendleton Parlor had a flight of edible cookie dough, I was on it! I think it's pretty close to actual cookie dough. The taste was great, salty and sweet just as you'd expect. The flight is a small sampling of each flavor. I LOVED the original cookie dough, brownie batter and sugar cookie. The cake flavor was just okay. Sizing was just right just an after dinner treat. I ate some, gave some to my mom and kiddo to try and still had a sample leftover for the next day! And it was just as yummy on day 2 from my fridge! Hubby ordered the Java Whip and also really loved it. We've had it before from the Mt. Washington Creamy Whip (same family) so we knew it was a solid choice. Decor is so cute and kitschy! Loved the small steps up to order and the long bar to stay and eat. Not having any prices listed is a biiiiiig downfall. It seems very sneaky to not list your prices. Sitting here at home in quarantine and dreaming about my favorite ice cream parlor in Cincy. So, my roommate and I decided to order two flurries via Uber Eats. Saw that the cookie dough flavor of the month for March was peanut butter and I. Was. Sold. It did not disappoint! If you're a peanut butter lover, you'll fall even deeper after you get a peanut butter cookie dough flurry. This location is genius. When I saw it across the street before cracking into my beers I wasn't super interested in ice cream, but after a beer flight it suddenly seemed amazing. The premise is the combination of soft serve ice cream and cookie dough. That simple but that genius. I had vanilla ice cream side by side with sugar cookie dough and it was amazing. The space is a bit narrow but manages to look open. The decor is interesting and I'm not sure what it's going for but there are some interesting pieces, including an old breathalyzer like my grandpa used to build in his barn. Cute little parlor. Crazy interior, everything mixed with everything, Transformers' Bumblebee next to antique typewriter and cash machine haha it works, though. The parlor itself is adorable - modern feel with old school touches like stadium seats. They serve all soft serve, but they have lots of sundaes and milkshakes as well. The staff is nice but not overly helpful and the menu seemed kind of limited. They only have like4 different cookie dough flavors and many of the ice cream flavors were blacked out when we arrived. Like another reviewer mentioned there are no prices listed so we had no idea what we were getting into. We settled on 2 side by sides ( cookie dough and ice cream) and that came to about $13 with a 15% tip. The actual flavors were okay but we could not finish the cookie dough it was weirdly too much and at the same time not enough flavor to make you want to keep eating. Portion consistency was also an issue here because I had one small scoop of ice cream in my order while my boyfriend had almost half his container filled with ice cream. Not sure what's going on there but we paid the same price for both so they should be even in the amount of product. It's a combination of half century time machine and modern pop culture like a ~8' tall Bumblebee from Transformers. OK now for the reason why we came...cookie dough. The service we received was solid including candid feedback about popular items. The cookie dough flight (see photo) was suggested and we went with that because it allowed us to try half servings of four of their five cookie doughs. Chocolate chip and brownie batter were our two favorite doughs followed by sugar cookie with sprinkles, then their seasonal strawberry shortcake. This place is super cute! I'm a huge fan of all things cookie dough, so I was immediately game when my friend asked if I wanted to join her here. The staff was friendly, answered all of our questions, and made recommendations. We were there close to Halloween and we were digging the decorations at the time. The parlour has an old school feel to it, and the vintage candy machine in the back was a nice touch. On the flip side, the gigantic Bumblebee statue was new and yet equally cool. This great ice cream shop was up for the challenge and we took a chance at combining cookie dough and ice cream. The sweet gal working behind the counter was truly helpful. We explained to her that it was our first time and we wanted the best recommendations and the go to items for her regular customers. She explained to us the side by side, which is a hefty amount of ice cream and a scoop of edible cookie dough was the most popular item on the menu. We said let's go all in and 4/5 went with this combination. I personally paired the chocolate ice cream with cake batter cookie dough. It was delicious and truly a one of a kind dish. Not only did it taste great, but the portions we're plentiful. You could easily share one serving with a couple people in my opinion. I asked if the cookie dough was made in house and she said yes! I thought that was a fun fact that most people may not know. We also tried the root beer float during our visit. We wanted to try the banana split because it's my daughters go-to ice cream choice, but she said it's BYOB, bring your own banana! I had never heard of it, but will know for next time. Her root beer float was simple, it was vanilla ice cream in a cup and a ice cold can of root beer. She let us poor it in ourselves to help modify the portions and it tasted delicious.
