At heart, I am a woman of leisure! All day I dream about hanging by the pool, soaking up some sun, and doing a dip or two in the water. Thanks to resortpass, I was able to live my little pipe dream for an afternoon at The Avalon. Arrived around 2pm on a Wednesday and the pool was happening! Tons of folks on their lunch meetings surrounded the pool and a few of us were enjoying the summer sun while sitting on day beds. This was my first resortpass experience and it was incredible. The front desk staff was so kind and gave me a little run down: Grab the attention of the restaurant on site, place an order, and enjoy yourself. I loved being out there with my book and cocktail. I am truly an LA girl through and through. The food was great! I initially got the shrimp tacos. So Yummy! The cocktails were great as well. I managed to stay until happy hour and got one of the charcuterie boards. Perfect for lil ole me. Cute little pool day at the Avalon! I love that this place is down the street and for $50 bucks, its a great little way to spend an afternoon.

No one at restaurant host station, either.

Came here for dinner. When we arrived, no one working the valet & no self-parking option. After dinner, same thing. Another guest abandoned his car in the driveway. And another couple also wanted to get their car after us. Truly pathetically that a hotel has no parking or employees in this day & age. This was a weekend evening, restaurant was fairly dead, as was the lobby, so not like they were slammed or this was a random Tuesday evening or anything. No excuse.

Great service and more than decent food. Sit by the pool Monroe swam in. Good for date nights and brunch.

The Avalon Hotel was honestly more frustrating than the Boutique. I travel for work regularly and stay in hotels a lot, so I'm used to different experiences. The main reason I'm leaving a bad review is the price--I've stayed in $70 hotels that were better. I stayed here for five days and wish I had switched hotels after the first night. Pros The staff was very kind and professional when they were around. Convenient location, close to many things. Easy and smooth online check-in process. The TV was an Apple TV, which I personally enjoyed. Very comfortable bed. (Note: No continental breakfast is provided.) Cons The AC barely worked. I set it to 64, but still woke up multiple times each night overheated. The restaurant is overpriced and not worth it--skip it and find somewhere genuinely good. The hallways feel like a prison. The elevator is older than I am and has a funky smell. The walls are paper-thin--you can hear conversations through both the doors and walls. The bathroom door wouldn't stay open, which was just annoying. Parking is mandatory valet and doesn't open until 6 AM. If you need to leave earlier, it's a real hassle (though valet and front desk staff were very professional). $22 for a margarita--ridiculous. Every night around 2 AM, I was woken up by loud neighbors because the walls do nothing to block sound. The photos online were very deceiving. Summary In my opinion, this place looks "cool," but it's not worth the price. If you actually want to sleep comfortably, go somewhere else.

This is a boutique type of hotel. You can tell it was probably a motel at some point and they spruced it up nicely. The entrance opens up into the pool area that is decorated with various trees. We were in town for one night so we didn't think too hard on hotel stay. The rooms give a 70's vibe in good way. Room service was quick. We were able to order from the tv screen. We were upgraded to the junior suite. This is not my fave hotel in the area but it is clean, cute and affordable. One disappointing things was we were not given our typical 4pm check out. As Ambassador Elite we typically always get a late checkout. We got a call a little after 12 stating they could only do until 2pm. I would probably come here again to sit by the pool and have lunch more than stay. Our breakfast was ok. My husband ordered a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich and I ordered the breakfast platter. Everything tasted great minus the potato's.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel and our stay. Historically it's pretty interesting and has a great pool but overall I have to give it a "just ok" experience from the musty old room to the underwhelming service. The location is pretty convenient to Beverly Hills shopping areas however. I don't know if I would stay here again. I may consider other options when in the area.

Absolutely love this hotel! The location is amazing, the history is exciting, great food, quiet comfortable rooms and excellent service from Devarius, Michael and the entire staff. Love the toiletries provided. We felt safe and welcomed the entire time! We'll be back for sure. Thank you!

The hotel itself is pretty old and outdated. It smelled kind of funny, and the decor is lacking. Elevators are small, and if you're put in the building off to the side, it's kind of hard to go between the main inside buildings if it's freezing, cold or raining. Overall, I liked this place. But it left a lot to be desired as far as design architecture and luxury goes. Staff are nice though, and the food was very good.

From the moment we arrived, everyone was so nice and helpful. Carlos at the front desk and his partner who I'm so sorry forgot his name both were amazing and welcoming. They wished us happy birthday and a complimentary Prosecco and chocolates to our room. The actual hotel has a very retro vibe , Palm Springs , 1960 style. The fish tacos at the restaurant were delicious and our bartender/waiter was friendly , attentive and nice. We are absolutely coming back again.

Super cute Boutique Hotel in Beverly Hills ! Located close to the Beverly Center and Beverly Hills for all your shopping needs ! Outdoor pool is nice, staff friendly & helpful. The theme is blue which Is tranquil & relaxing. Rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. Bathrooms are a good size with nice toiletries. Easy to park. And it's in a nice neighbourhood if you wish to go for a stroll. Highly recommend!

4.5 stars. While I live less than 2 miles away, I like coming here to escape and have a little alone time, especially during the pandemic. I first stayed here 13 years ago, when I had my birthday party at the cabanas. I loved the vibe then but love it even more after they refurbished the hotel. It reminds me a lot of Palm Springs (and I also have stayed at their PS location several times). This time around, I was looking for a reasonable hotel to stay at to work and chill. The weeks prior to staying here, I holed up at Petit Ermitage. I was going to go there again but decided to reach out to the hotel directly to see if they had a better deal. I heard back from the area manager who gave me a sweet deal that I could not resist. I was able to work with my laptop at the cabana and my room during the day and then chill and have drinks at the cabana by night. The folks there are so friendly and accommodating during each every stay since. I love just being able to have some alone time (with lots of restaurants nearby) that I'm thinking of coming back this week (and I was just there last week). Con: AC positioned too far from bed and struggled with the recent heat. I was so sweaty during the day

There wasnt a single item of this beautiful hotel that I could find fault with.   Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and expertly by a professional and extremely competent front desk staff, who had us not only checked in within seconds, but had upgraded us to a breathtaking suite with amazing views of Beverly Hills.  Bell service for our luggage was so fast they almost beat us to the room!   The newly renovated wing is stunning.  Guest rooms are gorgeously appointed, with just about every amenity a luxury traveler could want.  Despite the modern renovations, they have managed to keep the old charm of this classical beauty, giving you the subtle feeling of a by-gone era, while enjoying modern comfort on a flawless level.   I briefly mentioned to a staff member that I wasn't sure our mini bar was cooling properly, and within thirty minutes, not only was it completely replaced, but a second larger unit was brought in for our wines and other spirits which they had noticed we had brought with us. This was an impressive touch, considering we had not even thought to ask for one. The world class staff saw something they could make better, and made it happen, just like that. Room service was excellent. Food was delivered inhumanly fast, hot, and with top restaurant quality, just what you expect when you stay with the very best. Housekeeping day, and evening turn down service was flawless. A little whisper to our housekeeper for extra water, and we had enough water in our room to fill a bath tub. From the biggest to smallest request, the team at the Beverly Wilshire exceeds your highest level expectations. On that subject, I cannot say enough good things about the incredible staff at this Four Seasons property.  During a few periods of rain, the lobby and door personnel were falling over themselves to provide large luxury umbrellas, door attendants quickly cleaning and ensuring no one was wet, or slipping in the lobby.  There are literally layers of managers overlooking one another, but in contrast to other big name properties and brands, the staff here are all efficient, consummate professionals. No one is just standing around. Everyone takes personal responsibility and initiative for guest comfort and service.  From the housekeepers to the top managers, any request is taken as a personal assignment, treated with the utmost care and urgency, and they ensure it gets done. Always verifying to ensure you are pleased.  Each and every wish is fulfilled with a smile. I never heard the words "no" or "we can't" uttered. Many famous luxury brands try valiantly, but one simply cannot find better service than Four Seasons. They have taken luxury hospitality to an absolute science, and do not compromise on excellence.   Every guest is treated like royalty. Not a single detail is overlooked. From the breathtaking spa, to amazing dining options, this property has it all.  BLVD, the main restaurant and bar, is an iconic establishment with the best views on all Rodeo Drive. The service and food here are simply first class.   I will be writing a separate review just for BLVD, as the restaurant and their staff deserve their own recognition. On a visit several years ago, we received such magnificent service by a server named Surya, that when we had to return to Beverly Hills, there was really no other choice for us than The Beverly Wilshire. More on that incredible experience in my review for BLVD. There is also a new steakhouse, and separate lounge called Cut, by the world renowned chef Wolfgang Puck. This eatery is visually stunning, and the lounge has a classy, sexy, old Hollywood meets the 21st century vibe.  Service was excellent with a huge and professionally curated wine and drink list. There simply aren't enough words of praise one can say about this property and the experience here.   If you visit Southern California, and can afford it, treat yourself to the very best.  The service here is consistently the finest we have experienced anywhere in the US, even among the most elite brands and properties. The Four Seasons has kept, and even elevated this "Grande Dame" of Beverly Hills in all her luxurious glory. Unquestionably of the finest properties in the world to visit. Highly recommend.

Our teacups were refilled before we realized they needed to be. Our food allergies were met with ease and grace. It was the first time dining out that we did not feel extra attention given to the table for our food allergies. Daniel simply named our allergen free replacements without over explanation or extra attention, just as he presented the other tiered trays to our table. How lovely to feel as though our allergens were just taken "par for the course" and we weren't made to feel as though are needs were subject to commentary. We did have a frustrating element of our experience. 3/4 of our party had leftovers, which the service team packaged out of sight. Each of us received leftovers and the individual Peninsula cake in a bag. My adult daughter didn't have leftovers, so she didn't receive a bag, so she didn't receive her cake. We noticed after we had retreated beyond the lobby. At that time my daughter didn't want to go back and make a fuss with one of the employees and quite frankly I didn't blame her. It felt like a faux pas to go ask someone for a cake that should have been given to her already. Especially when we spent $700 for the experience. At that price - at any price - we should receive every element included in the tea service. There's no excuse to omit one of the featured elements of the tea. I'm quite frustrated by this Less Than 5-Star Service and there's no recourse for us. It's not like we can just zip on down to collect a cake that should have already been given to us. We live over 2 hours away! This once-in-a-lifetime event, as delightful as it was, has been marred by the lack of service demonstrated by the fact that every member of our party did not receive the cake we paid for, were promised, and were very much looking forward to.

The staff was very friendly and even though it was busy. These guys know how to move people through. They are chatty enough to be friendly and make you feel comfortable. But not so chatty that the person behind you is sighing loudly and treating you like the 65 years old woman who is still writing checking at the grocery store. The rooms are smaller but unless you're going to be hanging out in your hotel room. It really doesn't matter. Its got great lighting in the bath room for putting on your make-up. Hot showers, great amentities like shampoos and conditioners inside the shower. I brought my own because I'm particular about the kind of stuff I put in my hair but for thos who aren't. It's one less thing you don't have to pack. The room also has a hair dryer and an ironing board, a small fridge and a safe. I enjoyed my stay here and would definitely come back again.

Staff were all very nice to my son and I, giving us a heads up they were closing and offered more food to my hungry teenage son who was very grateful. :) Close proximity to uber over to the mall or other areas to hang out and dine. We valet parked and did our thing for the weekend. Valet and staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Do be aware that homeless people congregate at the supermarket & spill out onto where the hotel is located. Clean & cozy beds, although the pillows (like most hotel pillows) were worn down thin. Strong shower pressure, & I like that the sink is separate from the actual bathroom. The second floor had a very spacious, comfortable lounge area, as well as what I consider to be this hotel's best feature -- an outdoor fire pit. Friendly & helpful front desk staff. Like many Marriott hotels, this one has a mini convenience store, of sorts, that sells snacks & toiletries in the lobby. If you're calling a rideshare, take note that it's a toss up whether they will be waiting at the front door or in the connecting garage a few steps away. We had a nice stay without incident, however I'd pick a hotel on a street with better scenery & more bustling activity on my next stay in Century City.

Nice room with a King size bed, the air conditioning was super cold, i like it cold, but it was cold for me. I was not happy with the shower as it was leaking and not sealed. Water went out the bathroom across the walkway almost to the closet. We used about 5 towels against the shower to soak up the water. We had unpacked our stuff, so didn't care to move to another room

From the moment you walk in, you're hit with a cloud of cologne so aggressive it makes you wonder if you accidentally wandered into a perfume duty-free instead of a hotel lobby. We decided to check out the rooftop bar for our anniversary because nothing says romance, like skyline views, and overpriced cocktails. Unfortunately, the food and drinks were aggressively mid - like inspiring neither joy nor outrage. Then came the plot twist. An unhinged woman (not a hotel guest mind. You) planted herself next to us and proceeded to interrupt dinner like she was part of the entertainment package. When we asked the waiter for help his response "What can we do?"iconic. Truly groundbreaking customer service. Just when we thought things couldn't escalate further a Roach made its grand entrance. My husband now apparently part-time pest control, calmly grabbed it with a napkin and handed it to the bartender. Honestly, the most efficient service interaction of the night. At that point, we did what any rational people would do - bolted back to our room, while subtly checking over our shoulders to make sure we weren't being followed by our new friend from the bar. All jokes aside, it was actually pretty unsettling. The next morning, I tried to speak with a manager about the obvious concerns: How did a non- guest make it into a secured floor? What exactly is the hotels approach to Security? And why does it take 12 hours to get a response... From an assistant... Saying Mr. Jazul is very busy? How comforting to know, guest safety ranks somewhere below his calendar. Still haven't heard from him - I assume he's overwhelmed, implementing all those robust safety measures. Would I stay again? Only if I develop a sudden passion for chaos, mystery fumes, and immersive, horror dining experiences.
