Received a beautiful upgrade on the 12th floor overlooking Beverly Hills, about $240 in hotel credits, 12PM check in, and 4:00 checkout. My wife and I had an amazing time. -Room: Beautiful and super clean, with a beautiful patio overlooking Beverly Hills. No issue with water pressure as previous reviews had mentioned. Bed was comfortable and AC was cool. I heard the elevator, but didn't bother us much as we use earplugs. -Restaurant: Took advantage of the free dinner and breakfast, so not fair for me to complain much. If I had paid, I would be very critical. Food is decent, but service is super slow! Waiters seem to disappear, and need to be flagged down. 20% gratuity is mandatory, as well as some hotel fees. Ate her on a Saturday night, and it was mostly empty. Not a restaurant non-hotel guests would ever bother to come to. Cameo, I'd work on making this a good restaurant that locals would come and eat at. -Lounge: Wife and I enjoyed the beautiful and classy lounge during the world cup finals to burn the rest of our credits. Vanessa is a true bartender that knows her stuff, and is so kind. Just like the restaurant, the lounge was mainly empty. So much potential if Cameo wanted to go all out to attract locals. Nightly entertainment would be nice. There was a DJ there that setup the soccer game. Also, a Henessy rep that was so nice in treating us to a drink and a sample. Scored some tequila inspired jerseys for free right before we left. I will definitely come back to this hotel. Perfect location, and has that classy feel. Didn't go swimming, but pool seemed heated. No jacuzzi that I saw. Hotel staff is about as nice as they come by. They even walk you over to the elevator. read more

Our stay at Cameo was excellent! Helped us with our luggage and check-in was breeze with a champagne toast! The view from our room was gorgeous especially during sunset. Two downsides: our shower only had cold water but we were provided with a different room. Service was so quick and the staff apologized for inconvenience. No problem! The other downside was the pool and gym were under construction when we were staying (in late jan) so we were told to use the Marriott's. We went to Marriott and the front desk staff (who just got off of her maternity leave) was so generous in giving us a tour of the hotel! She told us that Cameo and Marriott have same property management. I would love to stay here again when they finish the pool! Worth staying for the view and service! read more

The concierge Jared was very helpful and very personable. Was lucky enough to be the first one in the newly renovated room 608. nice rooms.. Very good Lighting in the bathroom which is a plus. Why 3 Stars and not 5!???!? First time staying at Cameo, and it wasn't great. Shoutout to the front desk staff during the morning shift, for above and beyond friendly customer service. Being a Hilton Honors Diamond Member, I was appreciated for being a loyal Hilton customer. I was given the room 916 on the Beverly Hills side of the building, which is the quiet side and most recommended, when staying at this particular hotel. My room was very nice and impressive, until I had a huge issue with the AC. The AC doesn't go lower than 69 degrees, and it didn't feel like 69 degrees, either. The whole hotel felt like a sauna box, and I was uncomfortable the whole entire time. When I went to the front desk in the early evening, there was a change in shifts. I addressed my issue with the AC, and my request to have the AC taken down to 65 degrees. The staff acted in a dismissive tone, and I was told to live with it!!!! Really??!? They didn't do anything to remedy the situation. I left for the evening for dinner. I, then, texted the hotel to explain my concerns and to crank the AC down to 65, or there would be a problem. I get a response, and they told me to open the balcony window or they would send up a fan. Yelpers, during my stay, it was a very hot and muggy day and night, and they said that's all they could do. Apparently, ALL rooms don't go lower than 69 degrees. I told them that it was unacceptable. When I returned from dinner, I went to my room and guess what???? My AC was reset to 65 degrees. While that was an improvement, the AC was out of wack and didn't feel cool enough. I had to pull teeth to get them to do something so simple. The following morning, I get a lame apology when I checked out and received a $70 overnight parking fee compensation for my trouble. Overall, it wasn't good enough. I'm deeply sorry to gripe, Yelpers! I'm sincerely disappointed with my experience with this hotel. The hotel is beautiful, nice room, bathroom clean with Byredo toiletries, bed comfortable, limited tv channels, and spectacular views. Unfortunately, I do NOT recommend this hotel. No matter the price! Fix those room ACs!!! They will just have to live with it that they lost my business. And just like that, I'm NOT returning..... read more

We reserved this hotel for the Memorial Day weekend! Although it is advertised online as a five-star hotel, it doesn't quite live up to that rating. The amenities are still under construction, which means we couldn't use them. The red carpet in the hallways was a charming touch, and the vintage furniture in the room was nice, but we expected it to be a bit more upscale. Additionally, the valet service costs $77 per day, which is the highest I've ever paid for valet parking. On the brighter side, they have a nice bar with amazing bartenders, and the drinks were top-notch, so a shoutout to them! The service was good; we never had any issues getting towels and other items for the room. The hotel also offered a lovely view of Beverly Hills, and its location was convenient and central to the areas we wanted to explore. I'm giving this place three stars because it is still under construction and did not meet our expectations. read more

I stayed at the Cameo Beverly Hills for 3 nights and had a fantastic experience! The hotel is nestled close to Beverlywood and not too far from Century City. The reason I stayed here was because I was in town for the LA Marathon, and wanted to be at a hotel close to the finish line so I would have enough time to get back, shower, and check-out. Having Hilton Honors Diamond status helps a lot too. I was able to get a 2pm late checkout at no additional cost! The staff was all-around kind, super helpful, and professional to every last detail. My room was spacious, clean, and the views were breathtaking. I was also able to use in-room dining for two of my days, and my $18 food and beverage credit went towards those services. For two meals, I ended up paying about $50 out of pocket after the credits were put in - not too bad, especially including tip in LA! I would absolutely stay here again the next time in LA and need to be in a good location to get to West LA, as well as West Hollywood. First and foremost - the staff! Each and every staff member from valet, front desk, lounge bartender to restaurant staff went above and beyond and were so cool and funny to talk with! The hotel is newly renovated and was so beautiful with an open floor plan downstairs at the lounge with plenty of seating areas and beautiful decor. The room view was gorgeous! The restaurant downstairs, ZAMPO, a Peruvian themed restaurant was delicious and beautifully decorated; shout out to our server Blake! He was super cool and attentive and funny. Another big shout out to front desk staff members Rain and Jarod (I believe his name was Jared, very well spoken with a nose ring who checked us in on Saturday around 2/2:30pm) and he took us on a tour of the lobby and took time to explain the layout of the hotel; he kept up laughing! Not sure I understand all the bad reviews because I had an excellent stay at the Cameo!! The room was beautiful and incredibly clean. Beds were super comfy and the view is to die for! Lobby staff was so elevated and shared with me amenities of the hotel and was super courteous. Overnight valet is expensive but that's what I've paid in every LA hotel. The hotel stay was going good until the last night. It was 9 pm at night when two people from housekeeping entry our room without knocking. When I got to door because I hear someone trying to open it they just said sorry and asked if we needed ice. This incident really scared my wife. When I reported it to the night manager, he kept rolling his eyes and making faces. They made an excuse that it was turn down service. They do not do turn down service at 9pm at night. When I asked for the police to come and file a report, manager seem very upset at my request. I then filed a complaint with Hilton diamond desk. This experience has totally shaken us. I had a great experience here. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The lobby was beautiful with a nice piano and lots of seating. Yet it wasn't obvious where the front desk was because it wasn't in the front near the entrance. Once I walked in, I noticed the reception was across from the elevators. The good: The room was fantastic. The shower was amazing...tricky to get to correct temperature but after temp was adjusted the shower was heavenly!!!! The bad: Parking is $77 dollars a night. The bar charges 20% fee on top of drink charge, drinks were all over $20, the drink I wanted was $24 making my total $28.40...yeah no! The bartender must be a trained mixologist for me to pay that rate. Checkout included multiple other charges that was not disclosed....Overall, I felt nickeled and dined. I had a wonderful stay at the Cameo! What was originally Mr. C, I found out that the hotel changed names about 5 months ago amidst new management and an upcoming renovation. After finding a good rate online, I decided to book my stay here since it was only a few miles away from family that I was visiting. The deal I got was hard to beat at $190 a night, even with the additional resort fees and taxes that are added on. Unlike another review I saw, I didn't feel the the hotel felt worn out. The lobby looked and smelled fresh, my room was huge and had a nice balcony, and service was always warm and accommodating. Although there was something a little strange with my toilet plumbing, there wasn't anything was disruptive to my stay. The hotel overall felt very peaceful, serene and safe. The resort fee is real, but unlike some other properties they give you a $30 food and drink credit towards that daily. Ordering room service can definitely add up, but if you were going to get something small at least you're taking advantage of it. The bed was super comfortable which is such an essential part of a good stay and it was always really easy for my Ubers to pick me up in the private, tucked away driveway. Cool spot and very close to Beverly Hills. About 30 minutes from UCLA & USC. We were quoted $70+ a night for parking but right across the street there is a strip mall and it's $20 a night so check that out. Hotel staff was very friendly, rooms were clean and only complaint was iron in our room was broken but front desk had one whisked right up at our request. 7am-10am coffee and tea served in the bar area for all guests which was quite nice! We stayed two nights Friday/Saturday and the bartender told us the hotel was sold out so I was impressed with how smooth everything went over a packed weekend! Cameo Beverly Hills is a boutique hotel in the Hilton brand family just outside the Beverly Hills city limits that offers guests comfortable accommodations and excellent service from front desk, valet, food and beverage, and cleaning staff. As others have noted in their reviews.. the property is definitely a little dated (and probably due for a full renovation), but the staff does a fantastic job keeping it clean and well-maintained. The historic 1960s era patina in the lobby and quirkiness of the guest rooms seems to fit the location. I had reserved my room ahead of time on Hilton.com and check-in/check-out was very easy. The lobby is very reminiscent of the 1960s with plenty of dark-colored woodgrain Formica and a cozy restaurant, a well-stocked cocktail bar, and a comfortable seating area with a unique modern design billiard table. All of the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay at the property. Our Los Angeles-facing room was clean and featured a king bed and comfortable, stylish furniture, a large LED TV with plenty of content, easy-to-connect free WiFI offering decent speed, and a balcony with two chairs and a small cafe table overlooking West Pico Blvd. I was disappointed that our room was not equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, or coffeemaker and the HVAC in our room seemed ill-equipped (whether due to age or the intention to save energy) to handle with the late-summer temperatures in Los Angeles and offered minimal air circulation while we were sleeping despite leaving the fan in the "on" position and setting the temperature to 68F. The hot water in the bathroom sink was instantly scalding, but the hottest water in the shower was lukewarm at best. That's just not acceptable from a Hilton affiliated hotel at the $400/night rate plus resort fees and parking... even in Los Angeles. During our recent stay, there was an on-going labor dispute between Remington Hospitality, which operates the Cameo, and UNITE HERE Local 11, which represents the workers at the Cameo. Several times during our stay, the union picketed the property while chanting through megaphones and banging drums. The picket line was so large and boisterous one day during our stay that the LAPD blocked off the streets adjacent to the property to redirect traffic. When we came back to the property that night after a long day of sightseeing, the LAPD recommended we come back in a few hours and the hotel's security guards indicated we'd have no choice but to cross the picket line to enter the hotel. Things settled down by 9pm and we were able to get into the property without incident. PRO TIP #1: The mandatory $52/night resort fee covers WiFi; bicycle rentals; and includes a $32/night F&B credit to be used in the bar, restaurant, or room service (but can't be applied against the mandatory 20% service charge, additional gratuities, or taxes that apply to all F&B purchases). There is no resort fee charged on rooms paid for via HiltonHonors points redemptions. PRO TIP #2: There is no self-parking available; valet parking is $66/night. The valet was able to provide complementary (slow) charging for our rented EV during our stay. read more

** We noticed cigarette butt on the balcony, and didn't think anything of it. We don't smoke, but it wasn't our responsibility to clean it up either. At the end of our stay we got hit with a $580 cleaning fee because they saw it. After a conversation with Jared, the resolution was "we saw it, so we're keeping the cleaning fee." He didn't leave any way for us to back up our story. He said it wasn't there when they serviced the room before us, so who knows when it happened, but it certainly wasn't us, and we're being dinged for it. Either don't stay here, or be meticulous with checking every corner of the room and balcony when you get there. We'll never be staying here again. Too bad, because the staff we interacted with was great. Our check in and stay experience was great. Props to Rain at the front desk, Sam at valet, and Elizabeth as a fantastic bartender. read more

My then fiancée (now wife) and I found ourselves in Los Angeles during our 10 year anniversary. She had to fly in for work, so we decided to make a trip out of it and get there a couple of days before to explore. I made our personal reservations at The Cameo Beverly Hills, which was recommended by some co-workers. I booked online through their reservations e-mail and was assisted by Khadidjatou, who asked us several questions beforehand to ensure our stay was amazing. The Cameo used to be owned by Mr. C and was taken over by Hilton late last year to be a part of their LXR portfolio of boutique and luxury properties. You can tell parts of this hotel will be undergoing renovation, as it still maintains some aspects of the previous Mr. C ownership. There was a weird smell coming from the carpet on our floor but I'm sure that'll be replaced with one that is not worn and dated. What we enjoyed was the old Hollywood and Beverly Hills glamour of this hotel! The common areas of the hotel, as well as the hotel rooms, were adorned with black and white pictures and portraits that harkened back to these times. There was a very nice pool table downstairs that was made out of mahogany and glass-- my wife enjoyed playing on this table very much! Much of the furniture in our hotel room as well as throughout the common areas felt very rich with lots of bright leathers and mahogany wood. There was clearly a nautical theme going on with the design and color schemes used. I hope this aspect of Mr. C is carried over; we much prefer this over the shades of grey that dominate modern interior design. From check-in to check-out, the service was top notched. The valet (only parking option at $66/nihit inclusive of tax) and bell hop out front helped us with our luggage and showed us to the front desk. The young lady at check-in made sure to congratulate us on our 10 year anniversary. We were informed of the daily resort fee, which included a $32/day food and beverage credit for the property, access to the hotel pool, gym, and WiFi. We each were given tickets to a complementary glass of Prosecco at the bar, and were told about our room upgrade to room 915, which ended up being a king room with an amazing view out to Beverly Hills on one end, and the Downtown LA skyline on the other. When we got to our upgraded room, we were surprised with a bottle of La Marca Prosecco, some chocolate covered strawberries, little chocolate bits, and a nice, hand-written note from the hotel team congratulating us on our 10 year anniversary and our upcoming marriage the following month. The Cameo Beverly Hills really pulled out all the stops to make our 3 day stay feel so memorable! The shower was incredible and stocked with stunning Molton Brown products. These are the best shower products we've used at any hotel we've stayed at! During our 3 day stay, we used our $32/day dining credit to order some breakfast and lunch items from Il Moderno for room service. We got to try their espresso, cortado, Diavola Pizza (spicy soppresata, chili, pomodoro, mozzarella, $22) and the Lobster Roll ($35). The food prices were what you'd expect for a hotel in a more affluent neighborhood and the meals themselves were definitely OK. But the service is definitely what stood out! We spent a lot of time out exploring and dining out at different places, so we tried different hotel items without the intention of filling up for the entire day. The hotel itself was very well situated to drive out to Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills proper, West Hollywood, and other LA hot spots for sight seeing, arts and culture, and dining. Thank you to the entire team at Cameo Beverly Hills for making our stay so special! You guys have won us over as customers for future stays in the LA area, and we can't wait to see how the renovations for this charming, historic property turn out! Hopefully Hilton is able to maintain some of the old world charm that this property has due to Mr. C ownership while putting their own personal LXR touch on it. Maybe offering some sort of car service for short trips as competing hotels in the area (i.e. The Beverly Wilshire which was also recommended to us) would be a good idea? Fine tuning the dining options would definitely help to make this property stand out even more. Combined with the top-notch service we experienced from all the staff, the possibilities are endless. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! ***MAY 2025*** ACTIVE CONSTRUCTION GOING ON, ROOMS ARE TORE UP, CONSTRUCTION WORKERS HELP THEMSELVES TO YOUR BALCONY, HOUSEKEEPING WALKS IN ON YOU WHILE YOURE IN BED AT 7/8AM, AND PROTESTORS YELLING OUTSIDE WITH BLOWHORNS EARLY MORNING. As a returning guest who has stayed here 20+ times in the last year and a half, this place SIGNIFICANTLY went DOWNHILL! I had the most unpleasant experience here yet! I stayed here 05/22 - 05/23- Room 416 I was checked in by Adookie with a bright orange do. The room I was given was in an unacceptable state. The balcony was torn apart, under construction, patio furniture halfway missing and wrapped up in plastic wrap. I returned down to request a presentable room- which I was not provided. Adookie did not try to work with me at all- DESPITE me being a regular and returning guest. I also requested items I needed for the room, one being robes (which I request every single stay). Adookie lied and said there were none left, when I saw her walking with them in her hands about 2 minutes prior. She NEVER answered the phone when calling from the room to the lobby because she was never in the lobby. I would be forced to walk downstairs every time, only to find myself standing by and empty reception for 10-15 minutes. This place is SEVERELY UNDERSTAFFED. THE BEST PART: In the morning, I was WALKED IN ON at 8am by housekeeping WITHOUT any announcement or knocking and NO REASON to be in that early when the room is OCCUPIED! Simultaneously, I looked to the balcony and see CONSTRUCTION WORKERS WALKING AROUND MY BALCONY!!!!!!!!!!!! - with no regard to me laying in bed- windows open- balcony door unlocked- my personal belongings on the balcony!!! About an hour later, hotel protesters were right outside of my balcony further disturbing with their yelling, blowhorns and drums! ***Apparently, this is at least a weekly occurrence! THIS HOTEL SHOULD NOT BE SELLING ANY ROOMS AT THIS TIME OF CONSTRUCTION, OR, IT SHOULD BE STATED ON THEIR WEBSITE SO THEIR GUESTS UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY ARE IN FOR! I have been promised a FULL REFUND by Manager Jerin through my third party site. My third party has been attempting to reach for hotel for 4-5 days now to approve this refund with no luck. This place was always old, but it was charming. There used to be a cigar window in the lobby which was nice, a nice entry table with flowers in the lobby, which is now gone. Robin has always provided exceptional service, however, he was not there this time. The rooms are much smaller than I expected given that it was in Beverly Hills area but the service is great! Although we were only here for one night, Cameo BH made a great impression on us. (For comparison, we usually stay at the Beverly Hilton) The hotel decor is old school Hollywood glamour. The front desk was very professional. Our double room was gorgeous. Love the decor! We had dinner and breakfast at Il Moderno, the restaurant on the premises. The meals were a little pricey but delicious! (The Fig & Honey Pizza was a favorite) Service was absolutely impeccable and professional. What an amazing hotel. I usually stay at Waldorf when I come to BH but my girlfriend and i decided to try the Cameo. I knew it would be nice but we were completely blown away. First off service is amazing and Robert is an absolute gem. I've done about 40 nights with Hilton in the last year and I've had a lot of great service but Robert was 100 times better than anyone I dealt with. He treated my girlfriend and I like king and queen. Upgraded to Hollywood suite. Food was phenomenal. Zampo was very nice. read more

Service was excellent. And that's the reason the rating is this high. The place definitely needs to be updated. Housekeeping was below 5 star for sure. The bed was sloppy, and they the towels were inconsistent (one day we had two towels, the next day there were no hand towels, the next day no face towels), and one day we came back to a big puddle in front of the bathroom. The cleaning lady must have missed it. The a/c is weak, and the lowest temp it goes to is 68. You can't bring it lower than that which for me is unacceptable in the middle of summer in LA. We had two rooms. One faced the hills, the other faced LA. The one that faced the hills had the horrible a/c. We would come in mid-afternoon and the room was too warm. There is no escaping from the heat. The room facing LA had a better a/c situation. We felt a considerable difference in temp. If the hotel wants to be luxury, why don't they allow us to bring the temp down. They sent someone up to bring the temp to 65 but when he got there he tried to convince us that 68 was ok. I had to argue that it worked at night but not during the day. He won the argument and the temp stayed at a humid 68. Frustrating. The location was great, but not walking distance to any place. There is no parking. Only valet. But on the streets across, there were some spots. The lobby is amazing -- I wish the rooms reflected that. Would I come back? Because of the horrible a/c and the mediocre housekeeping, probably not. I prefer hotel that takes care of all that without having to ask. read more

Not a 5 star hotel. Walls are paper thin, impossible to sleep because you can hear everything (the alarm in the room next to me woke me up). The pool is janky and the staff isn't friendly. Oh and there isn't a coffee machine in the room... Never coming back. read more

Good location and clean property. Valet, Staff and security are very professional, courteous and attentive. I only wish they were transparent with their overnight parking fees, extra charges and taxes. I had called twice prior to my visit and once I arrived I had asked both front desk and valet staff, it was only 66.55. This is hands down the WORST hotel and worst hotel management I've ever experienced. There is some kind of protest that goes on at the hotel every morning with megaphones and drums. Forget trying to sleep past 7am....or even have a moment of quiet. We asked hotel Management to explain or help, and Brock Taylor, the GM does not care about guest's comforts. I have to be honest - we were unimpressed with our stay. The two double beds creaked with the slightest amount of movement. Before checkout, the faucet handle for the shower fell off. The service in the restaurant was slow and my pasta was mediocre - it took fifty minutes to get our breakfast. The pool was disgusting, there were lots of leaves and debris in the water. The size and placement of the pool alongside Beverwill Dr and Pico BLVD meant lots of road noise. 3 stars for the location. The staff were friendly but our stay did not merit 5 stars for such a hotel. read more
