I was happy to hear this since it was a last last-minute request (less than a week). They showed up the day of the move and were ready to work. The one stop local place for packing, moving, or heavy lifting. I had them come help move furniture into a new home. They showed up on time ready to work. Once they knew what I wanted they provided straight forward easy to read paperwork with all their fees and charges. Their price included the truck dissembling and reassembling everything. They loaded and unloaded everything with care. We have antique dinning furniture and they take care to not damage it and pack it correctly. The staff were great people. Friendly and efficient. They didn't try to drag out work to make money or try to squeeze for more money. They also can move and take away any junk that you might have. If you're using peninsula for moving do not I had peninsula move a one bedroom set the guy gave me an estimate and said it included wrapping and moving ,set up and they destroyed my dresser I am not happy I would not recommend them they do not seem like professional movers at all they didn't even come with a screwdriver or a Phillips screwdriver and there was no bubble wrap or tape or plastic of any kind just throw blankets I am so mad right now and I don't want anyone else to go through this. read more

On the day of our move (Monday, April 30) the movers were almost two hours late. We had rearranged our children's childcare schedules because we were told that the movers were set to arrive between 8 and 8:30am. They did not arrive until around 10am. When they were moving our furniture they complained about the weight of the couch and we saw them scratch it when they moved it outside. My husband was making arrangements to meet them in Colorado. We were told by the movers that "We'll probably be there Tuesday (May 1st) night but we'll definitely be ready to unload by Wednesday morning". This is a clear violation of labor laws because the movers packed our items in the truck from 10am to 6/7pm and then said that they were going to drive all night from Pacific Grove, California to Westminster, Colorado. This is a 20 hour drive in a car, not to mention two moving trucks. My husband flew out to Colorado on Tuesday morning to make sure to meet the movers and he received very infrequent updates and was left wondering where our belongings were. The movers texted my husband on Wednesday (May 2nd) stating that they were running late but did not give an estimated time of arrival. Several hours went by before any further communication was given. On Wednesday afternoon the movers called my husband and said there was a problem with one of the trucks and that they would be arriving on Thursday morning. They continued to have poor communication and did not arrive at our house until 8:30pm on Thursday (May 3rd ) night. When they arrived we found that there were only two movers, even though there were 4 movers when our 4 bedroom house was packed in California. The movers needed my husband's help to move the boxes and furniture and did not finish moving items into the home until 3am. When they left there was packing material all over the house and clearly labeled boxes were in the wrong room and left in the garage. Also, several rooms upstairs had stains on the carpet from the movers' shoes even though my husband requested that they remove their shoes on the carpet. The house we moved in to was brand new and we are the first occupants. In cleaning up the packing material (that should have been removed by the movers) I filled 5 large garbage bags and had nowhere to put it. Additionally, Many items had been taken apart by the movers, against my wishes, and I was told "don't worry" and that they would reassemble everything in Colorado. This was not the case. Three shelving units, a table, a bike, and some exercise equipment was all left in the garage unassembled. I do not have the instruction manuals for these items and was forced to figure out how to reassemble everything myself. We did not come out to Colorado to unpack our house until June and upon inspection I found that several of our nice pieces of furniture were damaged and that bolts were missing, making it difficult to put everything back together. When I discussed this with the moving company, I was never issues an apology for any of the delays, trash, unassembled items, or damage, but was simply told that they would not pay for the broken television or anything else because we did not pay for "extended insurance". This was completely misleading because in the sit down meeting with the moving company before we signed our contract we were explicitly told that "Don't worry, we have insurance that covers almost everything, the extended insurance is for major damage". The extended insurance was also an additional $1400 on top of the cost of the move so we did not select it because we were under the assumption that if anything was broken, the company would do the right thing and rectify the situation. This has been the furthest thing from what has happened. Additionally, we had also arranged to have the moving company ship our car to Colorado in the beginning of June. After all of the moving complications we thought about going with a different company but we wanted to honor our commitment. I made several phone calls to schedule a time for our car to be picked up, left detailed messages, and my phone calls were never returned. This has been one of the most unprofessional experiences that I have ever had to deal with. read more

I was surprised that he offered a pick up on a Sunday, which of course I took that offer! David arranged for his brother, Mario and Mario's nephew to come pick up our large load of junk. They were very professional even before arriving to let us know they would be late due to heavy traffic coming from Santa Cruz (Sunday beach traffic). Upon arrival, Mario introduced himself, assessed the items and amount and quoted us what the charges would be. To make their job a bit easier and to save time for all of us, we moved all of our junk to the front of our house. They were done in about 30-45 minutes. My husband and I used this company for a recent move and had a very positive experience-- and we were a little wary based on the (at that time) single bad review here on Yelp. We booked with the owner, Jesse, about a month in advance, and he was able to give us an estimate over the phone based on the size of our place and asking questions about our furniture and other belongings. He also gave us his recommendation for what size truck we would need, and he was accurate almost down to the square inch. I was worried when I saw it pull up, but they got everything in perfectly! The two guys who completed the move were awesome-- they worked extremely hard on a very hot day, and managed to get it done quickly and carefully. We haven't found any type of damage, and they were very careful to wrap up our furniture to prevent it from getting dirty, scratched, etc. Things did get a tad sketchy when they first showed up and mentioned that there would be a surcharge based on our remote location. It is true that we were moving from up in the mountains, but that wasn't mentioned during the initial phone estimate, so I recommend getting a more specific quote in writing beforehand. In the end, though, the price was still great, and they didn't try to add in any additional costs at the end. They were far cheaper than some competitors, so if you're just looking for hard labor to haul your stuff, then I definitely recommend! read more

Booked on short notice to help with removing a large amount of debris and rubble from an interior remodel (about a 10x12 bathroom). I was quoted a reasonable rate over the phone and booked for an 11:30-12:00 arrival. Unfortunately while on their way here the truck was struck by a hit and run driver which resulted in about an hour and a half delay. No worries there, though a call sooner than when I called at 12:15 would have been nice. When the driver arrived (Brian) he was exceptionally polite, very task-focused, and through the whole loading process worked his behind off to get it done. He even assisted with hauling a roughly 300 pound hunk of concrete downstairs to load. By the end of the job I paid exactly what I was quoted, which was less than half the cost of a dumpster rental from the local trash company. Overall the only complaint I could come up with was that a phone call as soon as the company knew they were going to be late would have been nice. Victor and Junior showed up on time and ready to work. I had a lot of odd sized furniture and appliances and they made it fit in my 17' box truck. They didn't rush or do anything unsafe or risky, and they treated my property like their own. Friendly crew and hard working. A few days later I needed leftovers donated or hauled to the dump. Jesse showed up with a crew on time and ready to make it happen. Super nice family man, personable and professional. I see some negative reviews. I was a soldier who has moved all over the place, and I've used a lot of moving services. Minor dings, scratches and breaks are going to happen because furniture today is mass produced, flimsy and not meant to be taken apart often and moved around. This company totally helped me out of a jam last minute and ended up calling me back after my original moving company totally fell through on one of the hardest moving weekends of the year at the beginning of summer. I literally called a dozen companies when I found out I needed one last minute and absolutely no one could help me and/or were quoting me absurd rates! Jesse the owner called me back the day before I needed to relocate down to LA and was totally helpful. The rate was a tad on the higher end, but honestly not too bad and within range of what the original companies were quoting me when I actually had lead time. The drivers were on time and somehow moved me down and delivered within a day. My only complaints were they estimated 3-4 hours to pack up and get down same day but literally took all day, so a lot longer than expected and delayed me getting out of town. However, they did book me the day before and weren't working off a lot of initial information, so I'm not sure I can blame them for that. They somehow packed my entire house into a 12 FT trailer and truck bed and I was a little nervous as my items were piled sky high out of the truck (for the items that didn't fit within the trailer) but they took great care to pack and load it that against my original apprehensions for how it looked, everything arrived in good condition with nothing broken. Last, I had a difficult delivery as I had half my stuff going into storage and half into my new place. I labeled and color coded everything so they knew what to take where. Brian and Josh did a pretty decent job of putting the right things in the right places and overall, I was very thankful to have the help of this company, which completely delivered my stuff the next day after a very long pick up process. If I could give zero stars, I would. The owner takes advantage of people who need money and then triple books them. Jesse, the owner, told me that the movers would show up at 8-9:30am. Not only did no one call me to tell me that they were running late. They just didn't even show up. I call around 10am to see what was going on, Jesse told me that they were running late but that the move was still on and they would come around now at noon. By 3pm I tried calling several times with no response. Finally, one of the movers calls me at 5:00pm. The moving didn't start until 6pm and ended at midnight. Furniture was damaged and the movers we got were overworked and exhausted by the time they got to our job. WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!! "Exceeding our customers expectations since 1997" Jesse made many promises of excellent service, sparkling clean pre-move housecleaning, & careful packing with no damage to my belongings or they would make good on the damaged things. Cleaning was mostly good, but the bathroom shelves still had literally years of dirt on them, neither the windows, the freezer nor the drawers in kitchen were cleaned, all of which had been promised. Jesse was quite reluctant to send someone back to clean this, and when he finally did, she had been told by him to do the windows only. I showed her the filthy shelves & freezer & she cleaned some of them, I had to clean the rest myself. The 2 movers were wonderful, very respectful & pleasant, at my request reconnected my TV & DVD Player, etc, but this was all done at the moving rate, $90 per hour so I stopped after that. However, though Jesse was there all day with his staff packing me up the day before, he misestimated the size of truck that was needed, & it took them TWO TRIPS to move my stuff. Of course there was no offer to reduce the price, since it took much longer to load & unload twice vs. once, & I was paying by the hour. Some of the packing was done very carefully & by Jesse himself, but his workers packed other things poorly & they were damaged in the move. Jesse DENIED THIS, reminding me of how carefully he packed things. I had to text him pictures of the broken lamp, etc, but he never made it right. I quickly discovered that the electrical plugs were taken off my electric piano, etc, & lost, but he stopped returning my calls & emails. The packing & move cost me $2200, & for this I expected that they would fix or replace damaged items & lost cords that should have never been removed. I believe the cleaning cost $250, & I had to pull teeth to get someone to come back & partially clean things that had been promised by Jesse from the beginning. I have used Jessie and his crew several times in the past few years and thought they were dependable and professional, until now. Recently I scheduled a move with Jessie and he didn't show or call to say he wasn't coming or would be late. I attempted to call him several times thinking maybe we got our wires crossed on the date or time but I was unable to reach him by phone, I did leave several messages. I had to hire someone else on short notice at a much higher rate. Jessie called 7 hrs later to say he was sorry, but he forgot. As I said, before the aforementioned, I thought Jessie and his crew were dependable and professional, so I thought I'd give him a chance to redeem his business. I hired him to move a refrigerator from the house to the garage. When I scheduled the move Jessie assured me that they were familiar with disconnecting the water line to the refrigerator, that that was not a problem. Well...Jessie was not available to supervise his staff...he sent two gentleman that cut the water line to the refrigerator, and because the water was going everywhere in the kitchen they turned off the water under the sink and said nothing and did nothing to clean up, just stuffed the cut line under the sink and left, water was everywhere under the sink, on the floor and now a cut line in more than one place I might add, because they cut the line to the water filtering system under the sink as well. I called Jessie when I found the mess and he could not believe his crew would do this and told me I must be wrong, I was shocked! He did send back one of the crew to investigate the damage later that night, and he did send out a plumber the next day to repair it all, but it was a hell of an inconvenience to have no water in the kitchen, and mess to clean up. I told him I did not think I should pay him due to the mess and inconvenience (it was $65.00 and I had left him and check) and he argued with me about not paying him. Finally after much discussion, our agreement was that he would come to my house and discuss a compromise and bring back the check I had written. Jessie did not show and did not call, and cashed the check...I expected a lot more from him and a business that touts honesty and integrity. I would not recommend them to anyone now. read more

Not a good experience. I booked this company 3 weeks in advance and was told they would have a 17ft. company truck. They showed up late, with a 15 ft. uhaul truck and told me that the company truck was on another job. Since they couldn't fit everything in, we ended up having to make 3 trips (40 miles each way) with our small pick up to finish the job. There was no offer to lower the cost or make another trip to help us out--in fact at the end, they were rushing because they said they had to go help with another job. The two men who did the move were very hard workers but not the professional looking movers you would expect. They did not have the proper appliance dollies as well and at one point we thought they were going to drop our washer/dryer down a hill. This company over books and over promises. read more

I found this company on Craigslist, I'm a firm believer in supporting family owned and operated businesses and Jesse and his crew did not disappoint. We first hired their moving crew and was so impressed by the level of professionalism and respect for our belongings that we hired the crew a week later to haul away 7 years of accumulation, so when they claim "no job too big or too small" they mean it, what a great team..Jesse kept reassuring me that they can get the job done and he kept his word, a highly informed and personable experience I highly recommend this company, their prices are very reasonable and there was a discount on the hauling since we had already used their moving services... thank you Jesse and the guys for all the hard work ..you did great, I can finally breathe easy... The two individuals that showed up were very courteous and diligent in their work, putting much more care into packing my things then I would have demanded and they seemed to be actively engaged the whole time they were in my service. They did break one lamp, but removed the cost from my total bill and considering how strenuous the move was I could see how fatigue was probably setting in near the end which is when it happened. Overall the move was a bargain. Being late and arriving in the wrong sized truck (luckily everything fit just barely) and charging me the wrong rate for the vehicle size was frustrating though their customer service and diligent work was a plus.
