A few specific things I'd highlight: * Chris (principal) was great to work with and our interaction was what really sold me on going with AHR in the first place. Clear, professional, incredibly thorough and detailed on the estimate, and when talking through the scope of the project. * Keith (the PM on the job) was always in touch, great about providing updates on progress, was VERY responsive when I had questions and was great about following up after the product to make sure things were cleaned up and the debris box was picked up in a timely manner. He also handled coordination with the electrician and the city on inspections/permitting. * The crews were super nice, courteous to my family, did exceptional work and didn't leave a bunch of trash and debris all over the place (which I've often dealt with in the past with other companies) * Chris asked the crew to "give some love" to our front/back doors since the original remodel crew 7 years ago, did a crappy job hanging them and they were constantly sticking/hitting the frame. However, the value was in the transparency. We had zero hidden fees or unexpected change orders by the end of the project, which is rare in this industry. The Reality Check No massive project is perfect. In our case, there was a permit oversight where the fire sprinkler consultant wasn't called in early enough. Because they were backed up, our project was delayed by three months. What sets Liran apart is his accountability: he admitted the mistake and paid our rent for those three months to make it right. Room for Improvement The only area for growth is in the hand-off for final touch-ups. Information didn't always flow perfectly from Liran and his foreman to the subcontractors doing the finishing work, meaning some tasks had to be redone once or twice. This was not my experience with some of the other roofing companies who felt rushed or were asking me to cut corners. In contrast, ELM gave me several alternatives before we zeroed on to a torchdown roof. Next, Rodrigo and Lincon were very communicative on our group chat and kept me apprised of the progress throughout, including tons of photos. Rodrigo was also very proactive in dealing with the city for permits as well as clarifications etc, which happened several times since our city is one of the stricter ones. During all this, we had a running clock since we were in contract to sell the house, but Rodrigo and company kept things in motion, sometimes working late hours to ensure completion on time, which we did with several days to spare. It was also very nice of them to talk to my buyers to tell them about the new roof in detail. I was also pleasantly surprised with their integrity. For example, the roofing torch is huge and heavy and accidentally did some minor damage to the house. They fixed it without questions in a very timely manner. They also provided us with a courtesy cleanup inside the house to cleanup roofing debris after demolition. So yeah, thanks to Rodrigo, Lincon, and their crew, we have a brand new roof and siding. They are polite, professional, reasonably priced, great at communication, and clean up well after themselves. Would recommend them 100/100.

My partner and I happened to get a leak in our roof in basically the luckiest possible place, so we…read moresaw it as soon as it started and it wasn't serious yet, but obviously we still needed it fixed. So we got in touch with ELM Roofing and had them come out to do an inspection. Lucas was great. He identified the issue quickly, stepped us through what our options were, and kept us in the loop the entire time. He checked the roof out with a drone, since it was too high to run a single ladder up, and we got to watch the neighbor's resident hummingbirds go nuts trying to threaten it away. Evidently hummingbirds hate drones! We had our entire roof and the garage roof replaced, because the builder had cheaped out on underlayment materials and is a pain to get to fix anything under warranty. So, y'know, forget him, but this isn't a review about him. We've got a much tougher underlayment now, all the chipped tiles we had have been replaced, and it is quite honestly better than new now. They did clean work, too. Didn't mess up the yard at all, they were fastidious about noise levels and allowed work times, everything you'd hope a certified contractor would do (but do they? Well...many don't, believe me). Quick and thorough, and when the project got interrupted by rain, they kept us informed about that, too. They came out on a Saturday to get ahead of the weather and even let us know exactly what the local weekend construction ordinances were ahead of time so we'd know what to expect. I think that's what I'd say about them the most: No surprises. They don't do anything unexpected with the final invoice, they don't jerk you around, they don't treat you like you won't understand what they're doing. You're fully in the loop at all times and you're treated as a partner in the project. You get exactly the work and quality promised. And it's good work, with a 20 year guarantee. I'd highly recommend them.

This was my first time hiring an actual roofing company. In the past, I had a friend do work for free while I covered materials, but this time I needed it done right due to a lot of dry rot. R&J Roofing completed a full re-roof and repaired damaged decking. I specifically asked to be kept updated throughout the process, and they did exactly that. They explained everything clearly, kept me informed every step of the way, and answered all my questions. The work came out great, passed inspection, and was finished in under a week. I also intentionally waited about a year and a half before leaving this review because I wanted to see how the roof held up and whether I'd experience any leaks. I'm happy to say I haven't had any issues, and it's reassuring knowing they offer a warranty on full re-roofs. They replaced an old skylight, removed our old chimney, and added a gutter to the back. We were really happy with the quality of the work and the price. When it came time to do a full roof replacement, they were the first place we called. And to be honest, they weren't the cheapest but we still went with them given our prior experience and the fact they would handle re-mounting our solar system directly. We worked mostly with Brian and Earl, both great guys and incredibly experienced. We had a lot of dry rot issues on our joists and their carpenter did a fantastic job (photos attached). The roof came out better than expected, it looks so clean and makes the entire house look better. We were also impressed with their thorough cleanup of the site each day, the attention to detail (even caulking around the replaced joists for us), and going the extra mile to replace a ceiling panel that was damaged when the old roof was torn off. They do most things by phone and don't use any fancy appointment systems, but if you want a roof done the right way by the most experienced people, Cal-Pac is the one you want. Loved working with them and would recommend to anyone!

Maia did an excellent job coordinating and communicating. Emile came by, checked it out and determined there was a blockage in the gutter, cleared the blockages and then made sure the rest of the roof was in good condition. No charge!! These folks stand by their work and I'd happily use them again!
