The food is good. And there is a lot of it, too. It wouldn't be a reach to say it's a step above some of the similar offerings in NYC, especially the gyro and the fries. It definitely reminds me of the Med in its flavours, though the ingredients are different in the US. Allowing for that, the place is really what it hopes to be. The only caveat is that the food takes too long to make for a fast food place. To be fair, this is because everything is made from scratch on the spot in real time. Have yet to be let down by these guys. Really solid food. Prime location. They never seem to have the cigara borak thing that is on the menu though. I've stopped by for lunch, dinner, and the post bar late night snack and it's always been quick and open late. The guys working there are friendly and play what I guess is Turkish music on YouTube setting a good vibe. They also have interesting drinks available. There is a pretty good selection on the menu but it would be cool if they added lamb. If you are feeling like a kebab in state college def hit this place up. read more

Great falafel place. They make a great vegetarian wrap. Their Yufkas(?) are incredible. It is great to watch them make their own wraps on a crepe maker. Their quality has improved since the last time we went in Fall. They have two bar stools to sit on. Hardly any space. It's a take out place. Definitely a good place to have falafel sandwiches. Overall, the yufka was really really good. Big portion, lots of flavor, but my one complaint is that yes, like some other reviews have said, it is very very dry. The yogurt sauce saves it for a few bites, but be sure to bring water, or be prepared to buy a bottle. Otherwise, no complaints :) read more

Very good Kebabs. Passing through SC and needed a quick filling meal. Got the Kebab Plate and the Iskender Kebab Plate and it hit the spot! Very tasty. I agree with others that doner meat can be a little dry but that's why yogurt sauce exists! The tomato sauce in the Iskender was new for me but also very tasty - I loved the chance to try something new. Overall, not as spicy as it might be but still very flavorful. Only downside was the limited seating on a warm summer night (it is VERY small place - clearly carry out for most) so we went downstairs where there are cafeteria-style tables. It was clear that they hadn't been wiped down by anyone for days but we managed with some water and a few napkins. read more

The food is very fresh and delicious. I tried the Falafel wrap, cheese pide, kunefe dessert, and the yogurt ayran drink. The falafel wrap is huge! Very delicious and flavorful, they make the wrap from fresh dough, and bake it, and that took the whole wrap to a next level of yumminess! The cheese pide is also very big, and also from a fresh dough, and they bake it in the shop. The lady suggested to add eggs to it and it was a great suggestion. The dessert is warm, fresh and authentic! Just like the kunefe you would taste in Turkey and the Middle East, very delicious! The yogurt Ayran drink was the perfect complement to this whole yummy meal. The service was great! The lady and staff are very nice, she even offered me some very yummy tea while I was waiting for my order to go, which also was done fast.. Everything about this experience is excellent! read more

ordered the chicken wrap - was dark meat chicken that was cooked and deboned by the employees - this means they boiled it and tore off the chicken themselves. that is fine, however, they left a bunch of pieces of fat and it was mostly dark chicken meat (leg and thigh pieces) really looked dirty and the lumpy pieces of fat were disgusting. I felt bad because i spent $12 on one meal and really do not like throwing food away - but i did with this place. NOT AT ALL LIKE other kebab places because other places use white chicken meat and cut it off the clean rotating kebab. same meat as your local asian restaurant that is chewy and all rib meat, not breast meat read more

It's rare to find such a good price for the size of the meal you get. $7 Kebabs are large enough to fill. I got the Beef Kebab and it was honestly one of the best things I have tasted, and for $7 and such a short way away from the HUB it was well worth it. The workers were really kind and helpful when some of the people had no idea what they are doing. It is quite impressive and an excellent place to go. I highly recommend it. read more

This experience was quite ridiculous. I ordered online through orderup and it arrived on time but was the wrong order, like really wrong. The only thing that was correct was that a Pepsi came with it. So I called and tried explaining the situation, to which the other person on the other end of the line hangs up on me. I continue to call and call and he answers and tells me to stop calling, so then I drive all the way to the establishment and try to explain how my order is wrong. I show him that I ordered beef on my receipt, and yet there is chicken in my container. We continue to argue before he finally gives in and changes my order. He also did not include French fries which was on my order. He eventually gave me all of my correct order and I drove home and ate it. He was rude and I will not spend money at this establishment again. read more

In town for a night and looking for a local, quick place. My kids love doner kebabs, we had the beef, chicken and falafel, all were delicious. Place was family run and the wrap was made as we watched. Portions were huge and full of veggies. Very limited seating, more of a takeout place until the weather warms up and you can sit outside. Quick lunch spot, although I prefer Pita Cabana, which may be owned by the same people (I forget). No seating, so you'll be standing around in the State College cold eating your food, but it's worth it. I always get the falafel with feta, and the falafel is freshly heated up, not sitting under a heat lamp or something. read more

Food is OK but the people who work there can be quite rude, unpleasant and disrespectful.

I had a case of cross contamination of meats. I ordered chicken and he gave me chicken with pieces of beef in it. When confronted he first refused to accept that its beef and spoke rudely with me. When I said I cant eat beef due to religious purposes, he showed his anger more and a lot of heated arguments were exchanged. In the end he threw my food away and didnt refund my money. Essentially I lost my money got no food and this definitely ruined my night. Not even once did the guy say sorry for his mistake and kept speaking rudely with me. Yes their food is good but their behavior is the worst and if they make a mistake in your order, expect them not to fix it. read more
