I stopped here (starving) with friends after a long night of partying in Happy Valley and was extremely impressed. The chicken box w/fries was off the hook! The food was so good I felt like I was licking the box clean. #Dabomb At $8 the chicken box is priced just right. There's no wonder the line was out the door. Trust me it's worth the wait! If I ever return to Penn State best believe I'll be back.

Another addition to what I like to irreverently call Happy Valley's very own "Arab spring" that's been happening in the last few months -- thankfully a non-violent, culinary type of spring.... and, of course, not exclusively Arabic. State College has finally branched out from Yet Another Predictable "Asian" Place with a number of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern eateries such as The Greek, Pita Cabana with its two locations offering Lebanese cuisine -- and now this delightful take-out kebab place run by two very friendly Turkish guys. The chicken kebab looks fab, tho I unfortunately wasn't hungry enough to try one this time around (given the incredibly large portion, I'm not sure whether I'll *ever* be hungry enuff to polish off one of those suckers all by myself. Seriously -- the kebab sandwiches are bigger than your head. I opted instead for lahmaçun aka Turkish pizza: a freshly (!!) baked flatbread topped with seasoned beef, then baked briefly in the oven, and finally topped with various green and cold stuff of your choice - feta, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, cukes, etc. I'm a gal of simple delights, so just lettuce & tomatoes were fine for me, with a good sploosh of garlicky yogurt sauce and (not quite enough) hot stuff. I'll need to tell them to crank it up a bit next time. Penn Kebab, like Pita Cabana, sells delicious bottled ayran which really is the perfect drink for this kind of food. Happiness. Makes me miss Berlin just a tiny little bit less....

They make their wraps right in front of you as u wait. Delicious

The space of the restaurant is too small to eat inside. The amount of food is big and the price is not high. The taste is just OK.

Their gyro was kind of dry, lacking flavor, haven't tried anything else.

Food is OK but the people who work there can be quite rude, unpleasant and disrespectful.

Good food! Relaxing atmosphere! What a nice oasis in hectic Breezewood!…read more We were skeptical to try this place. It just seemed unlikely we would find "real" food in this Pennsylvania pretzel-like junction between I-70 and the PA Turnpike filled with a collection of gas stations and fast food called Breezewood. And then there's Moe's Sultan Food restaurant! It serves really delicious freshly-made food from a vast menu, with European and Mid-eastern dishes alongside all-day breakfast and some standard American burgers and fries and soup and salad, and even some vegan selections! We had $6 delicious hot borscht, a classic bright-red Ukranian tomato-beet soup of potatoes and shredded cabbage and carrots, deliciously seasoned with onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. It was a chilly day (Dec 2025), and this light broth with hearty vegetables was the perfect meal. It came with a large warm fresh pita bread. We also got a cute little $3 pot of steeping Baghdad tea with cardamom, the very definition of cozy :-) We had a huge $10 wrap of freshly mixed freshly fried chickpea falafel, lightly crispy outside, tender and moist inside. The wrap was stuffed with veggies and a deliciously creamy tahini sauce. It was so large that we only finish half here, and carried the rest along for a later snack. This was better-made falafel than most restaurants near home, and I think that's because it is literally made fresh when you order it. This is a somewhat time-worn restaurant with seating for 50 in simple comfortable booths. They cleverly shade the windows with bright colorful screen-prints that, on the i side, present international views that are illuminated by sunlight through the windows, but completely screen you from the stream of vehicles and the landscape of gas stations. The counter where you pay has many packaged foods, including regular snacks and some international ones. Mara and a table-server made us feel welcome. For us it was a 30-min stop, because each item was made-to-order. When we want to relax a few minutes with really good food, this is now our go-to in Breezewood. Delicious and peaceful.

One Word = Outstanding…read more We were up in Carlisle picking up our truck and decided to stop here for an early dinner and it was a great choice ! It has been quite some time since we last dined here and we came at the right time, we were able to go right up to the counter and place our order to dine in and the staff member was very friendly and answered a few questions which was perfect. We ordered the flaming cheese and forgive me on the name that and two gyros and a water and a soda and our flaming cheese came out and the pita bread was nice and warm and naturally the cheese was flaming, hot and very flavorful and absolutely perfect. The gyros are incredible. They are filled with meat and the other essential toppings shall I say I'll rolled into a freshly heated pita. While we were eating, it really got busy to wear almost all the tables were filled, and the inside is very relaxed very welcoming and extremely clean and the staff members walking around are always checking on you to see if you need anything and if you need any refills on any of your sodas or waters. We highly recommend stopping here if you're in the mood for Greek food, they have all different type of selections from your basic Gyro to Greek fries to regular fries two more elaborate dinners, all freshly prepared and well present presented. Oh, and don't forget about their dessert counter or shall I say dessert case they are so very unique and absolutely incredible !!!!

I really wanted to like Hellenic Kouzina given the positive reviews, but unfortunately, the food…read morefell short of expectations. We ordered the Chicken Bowl and Gyro Bowl. The meat in both dishes was well-cooked and flavorful, which was definitely the highlight of the meal. However, beyond that, the bowls felt quite one-dimensional. They consisted mostly of rice, salad, and a dollop of sour cream or Greek yogurt, without the variety of sauces, herbs, or bold Mediterranean flavors I was hoping for. I asked for hot sauce to add some extra flavor, but the standard hot sauce available didn't help much. Instead of adding heat or complexity, it mainly contributed a vinegary taste that didn't enhance the dish. Service was a bit slow, though the restaurant was busy during the lunch rush, so that was understandable. The atmosphere was pleasant and casual, making it a comfortable place for a quick lunch. Overall, the ingredients tasted fresh and the quality seemed good, but the bowls lacked the depth of flavor and seasoning I was expecting, which left the meal feeling underwhelming.
