This place is a gem. We were in town from VA for a concert and saw the cash only - knew it would be good. They crushed it. My husband had the Keystone omelette, which is scrapple, and I had eggs with bacon. The most delicious was the corn beef hash - it was not out of a can, it was homemade, and it was amazing. Its small, subtle and easy to miss when you're driving by. But when you get inside you'll find its busy with locals who know its a great place to eat at. Love the Local Feel It feels like Cheers where everyone knows your name. We're not regulars but definitely loved that vibe. Nothing like supporting a well loved local business. Service is typically pretty good. They are always busy so the servers run around quite a bit. We have only gone for breakfast. I've gotten omelets, breakfast sandwiches, french toast and pancakes. All are about to be expected. Good but won't blow you away. A lovely place for a family meal, though. Note that it's a cash only place. I don't mind it but we always have to remember to have cash with us before going. Keep that in mind when visiting. read more

Tiny place with excellent food and service! Fluffy Belgian waffle, real scrambled eggs (not poured out of a pre-blended carton). My husband had the Sea Isle omelet with lump crab meat--yummy! Great local secret. You could drive past it and never take notice. There is nothing fancy here, just great food and fantastic waitstaff. Arrive early as there are only a handful of tables. We just moved to the area and our neighbor recommended this spot for a good, no-frills, and delicious breakfast. She was right! We brought our 19-month-old and the staff couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. The food was spot on delicious and service was fast. $20 for the 3 of us! Perfect local diner! 1st time here...wanted to compare it to our go-to place in Springhouse. Well the food was fine the prices were a bit higher my recommendation would be to offer some traditional egg specialties ... like 2 eggs toast home fries and coffee for a bundle price the eggs basically just came with toast you had to pay extra for the coffee and you had to pay a very high price for the potatoes which were good but they were certainly not the size worth what they charged Sorry, but we gave it a shot, but we'll stick to our other place.... read more

Ellis Coffee is only served at diners. Either you crave it (me) or despise it (my wife). They bring a big plastic pot of it and plop it on the table in front of you. They take your order within fourteen seconds of walking in the door (me like that too). They call you "hon". They talk about the weather. You smile in a haze as you order the egg white omelette with scrapple and english toast. Seventeen seconds later (okay, maybe five minutes later) your food is at your table. Will the food blow you away? No. Will the decor remind you of a Steven Starr establishment? No. Will you fill your belly with warmth and leave fifteen minutes later (or two hours...no one rushes you here) all happy? Probably. So glad we found this place. Despite the line, my husband and I sat at the counter. Our server was so sweet and efficient. They served Trenton porkroll which is a huge plus for me since I don't like the other brand that most places serve that is sliced about 1/2 inch thick. We both just had eggs, meat and toast with coffee and juice. Fast, hot and delicious. Huge compliments to the three young girls out front. This place is great! Love it. First time here today and There are new owners in the past 6 months to a year. Heard the decor has been updated and it looks great! It's a small breakfast and lunch place, great friendly staff and food is excellent. Went with my two kids and we had PLENTY of food and took some home with us. Service and food was fast, even with all tables full. We had pancakes French toast and an omelette, all had something to drink and it was only $21 bucks. Definitely will be back again and again. Give this place a try! Only problem was that it was hard to find from the road, had to turn around to look again. Glad we did. read more
