Very friendly staff and clean. Food was ok. Very soggy and very spicy if you order the Italian or the Reuben. Very salty as expected but way too salty. Fries excellent cheese sauce not worth getting. The bread they make the sandwiches on was amazing. Anyways. Very expensive, no prices on the main menu on the wall and was shocked it cost us $33 to eat there for me and my husband. Mostly friendly employees, mostly clean dinning room, good food. Surprised they offer a "Dagwood" but don't seem to know it's "everything but kitchen sink". Ordered it everything except mayo and pastrami. They brought out a sandwich and the only thing on it was ham and turkey... no cheeses, no veggies, no other condiments etc. A couple slices of meat on bread and nothing else! Surprised I never reviewed this when I've been going here for quite some time now. The Italian classic grilled sub is what I had most recently and it was excellent! It reminded me exactly of when I had tasted a Penn Station sub for the first time when I first had it at the John Carrol University location. I've had tried the Dagwood and Cheesesteak subs before, which were also good, but man, when the Italian classic subs taste like that, it's hard to go back to anything else -- I could have ordered another it was soo good. Penn Station is up there on my top subs list, and may end up being #1 after this visit. The service is also great and efficient as well -- never had a bad experience here; all things good! I had never been to a Penn Station before, and now its top on my list. A wonderful young man named Ben took my order and helped me figure out what to get, he definitely deserves a raise. Have had good experiences in the Rocky River location over the years (near where I worked) and I was pleasantly surprised when they decided to open one in the our Lorain neighborhood. Maybe it's because they haven't been open too long, but the sandwiches that we ordered were poorly constructed. The meat was nonexistent an inch or so from each end of the sandwich and gradually grew to a clump in the middle, along with most of the toppings. This happened with the medium warm Italian and small warm Dagwood that we ordered. The medium order of fries was in a half-filled fry cup and the rest dumped in the bag on the bottom. They are usually the best part of the meal, but were cold and over cooked. I know that I'll give them another try some time down the road, but I can't recommend this location right now. read more

I ordered 2 sandwiches and 2 large fries ... no drinks to go and the total was roughly $35. If it was the sandwich I used to get I'd have no problem. Some grey haires corporate type was running around (not doing anything meaningful in my estimation -- such as actually making sandwiches). He literally walked past our table and turned around to ask how my meal was, completely Ignoring my female African American lunch date. When we told him it came off as rude, he invaded our personal space and said that he was sorry we felt that way. No dude, the correct answer ends at "sorry". Penn Station in Avon is finally OPEN!! *Happy Dancing*This place was packed with a line all the way to the door when we arrived about 12:45. We waited in line for 15 min to order then heard there was a 30 min wait to get food. That's fine. It's Penn Station and they just opened Wednesday. We only waited for 10 min to get our food which was perfect! Hot, delicious, correct toppings, etc. I'm sure once thing calm down a bit all will be running on time. So glad to have a closer store than the one in North Olmsted. Will most certainly be back. read more

One of a chain of similar sandwich/sub shops. The menu is limited and better that way. Except, for a somewhat tedious order taking setup, the place has some good offerings and products to March if you like sandwiches. The service can be a tad bit long, but that's because of the previously mentioned order taking. If this one was 400 miies closer, I'd go again. read more

I don't get it but these little managers think they know what is right. Wrong. Treat customers right listen to the mistake you made and don't be condescending.
