Welcome to a blast from the past - right here in Midwest America (Cleveland style)! Big Boy is alive and well with super service while selling breakfast, diner meals, burgers and sandwiches with fries or onion rings - shakes - ice cream - the hot fudge cake and more! This place is clean and convenient and kitschy as can be! Eat well & Be well!

The burger was pretty good. We got the classic big boy paired with loaded fries and a side of Mac and cheese. The burger tasted like a better quality big mac. The Mac and cheese was not great and looked a little too yellow. The service was great and they had a small diner feel to the whole place.

Always an interesting time at the Big Boy. It's like you are transported to a different time, caught between a diner and your grandmas kitchen table. I know what you are thinking it's just a glorified burger place that's out of touch, but it's so much more. Big Boy is nostalgia, it's a simple dinner without frills where you can grab a quick bite or linger if needed. You can get comfort and a surprisingly good meal and deal all at the same time. Big Boy, in my opinion, is making a comeback. The kitchen staff is young and making hand breaded fish and made to order menu items. Again, I get it, but hear me out. You can get breakfast with a shockingly good cup of coffee, a milkshake, piece of pie and a fish fry all in one place. The onion rings were perfect and they had hush puppies that were soft and not too grainy, the fish fry was good and could rival a church fry any day if the week and as al, the coleslaw is consistently creamy and a staple in my book. Sometimes you don't need a silver spoon restaurant with white glove service, you want a quick bite without the regret of a fast food drive thru so you head to Big Boy where you won't be disappointed. So give it a try, smile with Big Boy he will greet you upon arrival and take a pie home when you leave.

Was very excited to see a big boy because they have closed so many over the years. Could not resist grabbing a few Big Boys and bottle of sauce to go. Quick service. Large dining area. Big boys tasted fresh and the same traditional flavor. Worth a stop for take out.

I went during covid for the 84 cent Big Boy Burger. Buy a pop and the burger was 84 cents. I called in my order where I was told 15 minutes. I was shocked. I got there and the inside was packed like sardines. I waited an hour. The staff was not prepared and lost control. Some staff was yelling at each other and short tempered with some customers. Bags were lined up on the counter getting soggy and cold since no one was making the drinks that go with them to get them out. It was a great idea, but the execution was not well thought out. They asked people to wait outside, but no one listened. People were almost shoulder to shoulder when there should be social distancing and a limit of people inside. When I went to eat my burger the bun was very soggy and almost paper thin. I think if it was not for that it would have been very good. I will have to get it again when they are not busy.

I haven't been to a Big Boy since the early 1980's. This one is across the street from my car dealership where my Jeep was being serviced. I got the "popeye's omelette" minus the sauce. They make classic omelettes here, where they cook just the egg, then fold them over the ingredients (ingredients are NOT mixed into the egg). It has mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes and onion as well as feta cheese. It is very tasty. My hashbrowns and biscuits, included with omelette were well cooked and flaky respectively. Nothing was too salty, which I was worried about, but needlessly. They have many sweet options for breakfast too. A several page menu of non- breakfast items as well. Good, tasty, (not burned as it is so often at 10:30 am) decaf coffee. A good stop right off of 480.

Ugh how can you mess up a "Big Boy"? Seriously tasteless burger had to add salt to make it somewhat palatable, fries way over cooked. Our server Amanda was as very sweet & pleasant I don't blame her 1 bit for the way the food came out & that's the only reason I give it 2 stars...

I've been to this place a few times, the food is good & well pre-paired. It's basically your typical diner looking burger joint. One thing I got to say was they were also doing some little fix with part of the place, but overall food was good & everything was a splendid 10/10!

That is the front of the Big Boy restaurant at Brookpark Road and W. 130th Avenue, right off I-480.

Do you need a Big Boy fix? In the greater Cleveland area? If so, come here. This location is off I-480 and along commercial and industrial Brookpark Rd. The other Big Boy appears to be in Garfield Heights, toward the East Side suburbs. At any rate, these are your only two choices for Big Boy fare in this area, let alone the entire state, unless it's a Frisch's franchise Big Boy. I don't know what people are crowing about in a negative manner. A Big Boy starts out with about 3.5 stars for me and then it goes from there. Granted, this is not fine dining and the area is sort of vapid, with automakers' plants nearby. While it's on a busy intersection, there is an amply sized parking lot. I ordered a Big Boy combination, meaning the double decker burger with fries. I also added a drink to that. I've been here twice. On the last visit, they featured a slice of strawberry pie for 99 cents with your meal and, even though the pie was not among the ranks of stellar slices of strawberry pie I've had, are you going to complain about a slice of strawberry pie that cost you 99 cents? O.k., we're at 4 stars! Ring the bell! Well, that's not what did it. The prices were reasonable, the quantity of food was satisfying, the service was small town friendly, and the Big Boy burger was neatly stacked, which shows effort that is not always the case at other Big Boy locations. And, they are all used to hearing that Californians and Westerners grew up with Big Boy restaurants on every corner and get to walk down "Memory Lane" when they order the classic Big Boy double decker burger at this diner styled chain restaurant.

Both were delicious! The biscuit was perfectly buttery, and it was covered in a rich, flavorful mushroom gravy and came with scrambled eggs. It was filling but somehow not too heavy. It was topped with a thin layer of rhubarb jam that brought a nice tartness along with a dollop of sorghum butter and whipped cream, and served with Ohio maple syrup on the side. I could have easily had a whole stack of the pancakes. The staff was friendly, and though the place was busy, the service was efficient. Excited to come here again! We shared the loco moski, paprikash sandwich, and a side of bacon wrapped tots (good option if you just want 2 and not the full appetizer). While the bacon wrapped tots are famous from Food Network's Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, I actually liked the loco moski and paprikash sandwich more. The loco moski is a fun combination between a loco moco but with pierogi, and I like that the peppered gravy wasn't too rich. The paprikash sandwich was also a great combo of chicken, sausage, peppers, cheese, paprikash, on lightly crispy bread. Parking available as free street parking--though you may have to circle to find parking since it's near the Christmas House. Staff were nice and efficient. The place does feel a little tight in terms of space with less lighting, but there's still plenty of seating and what matters to me more is good food. Overall, great place to try local food. Would get the loco moski and paprikash sandwich again.

I wanted to try the pierogi and the Polish boy and the KRAUT and having an extensive beer menu doesn't hurt either. Friendly neighborhood watering hole literally on the corner and basically across the street from the a Christmas story house allowing you to eat within eye sight of the leg lamp. I wanted basically everything from the menu that came vegan (spoiler alert there are tons and tons of things) but gastric space comes at a premium on vacation so we settled on the fried cheese. I was very excited to see the Polish boy (and vegan option no less) I didn't have much of a choice. GF ordered the vegan pierogi platter with vegan kielbasa on a bed of kraut. Firstly the fried cheese was head and shoulders above any mozz sticks or anything of the sort that I have had in memory. The breading is seasoned and crispy and heaven on earth. The cheese is PIPING. Like you will burn yourself if you, like me, have no patience. The accompanying tomato sauce is also steaming. So good. The Polish boy was also in a league of its own. Love that they have a vegan version. What a combo. Probably one of Cleveland's most important community contributions. We ordered the latkes to go and they were orgasmic. What a special place.

We were totally fine with that, went and grabbed a coffee from a local shop, and then returned to the restaurant. Food was great and the server was so kind! The reason for the 3-star review is because the hostess was very rude. She completely shattered an easy 5-star review. We had nine people in the family, and one was golfing. We intended to put in a takeout order for him but due to the 45-minute wait, he ended up finishing before we were even seated. We invited him to come along and then we were called to be sat. We ordered his meal for him prior to him arriving and this was still a major problem for the hostess. She basically threatened to move us back outside and told us we were "holding the table" even though we would have never done that. Instead of giving me the opportunity to explain to her we would have done takeout anyways had he not arrived(but he did because again, it was a 45 minute wait), she just continued to talk over me. It made all of us very uncomfortable and the first 10 minutes we felt very on edge and unwelcomed. She then did the same thing to our ninth person when they walked in the restaurant 5 minutes after. He had no idea what had already occurred and was also caught off guard. Most of us worked in this industry in the past, and we thought we were doing the right thing by letting her know. Thank you to everyone else who helped soften our experience. It was very appreciated. Every person who brought a dish to our table was extremely kind. We all had something different on the menu and there were no complaints!

It was seemingly cooked in the paper that it was served in so the top of the bread pieces were crunchy, the middle was softer and then everything else was completely stuck to the paper. I didn't get to eat about 1/3 of what I paid for and I had to work really hard for the other 1/3. Also, the bread had a very spicy taste. It must have been cinnamon and allspice, but it was entirely too much and very overpowering. It truly tasted like a spicy savory bread which is not what I was expecting or wanted.
