they didn't make our ticket. then when they realized that we didn't have food. They took their time making it. Then we got our two sandwichs. We had one wrap. we sat here and waited for a wrap. I highly recommend the cheesesteak. As far as specialty sandwich places are concerned, this one is good enough to make several return trips. All subs are made to order, cooked in front of you, fast, and most importantly, they're delicious. I love the french fries, but it seems like the portion of fries do not match the price any more. On this occasion, I wanted some fries to go. I ordered a large. The girl at the fry station filled my bucket o' fries then realized she didn't have enough for the next order, dumped some of mine out and then placed it in the bag. There were a number of things wrong with this, the first is that my half full bucket o' fries were cold. The second was I watched her dump out half of my fries. The Bucket o' fries is $6 and some change. I asked for fresh fries and was given a full bucket. I think I will be choosing a different restaurant to get my fry fix. read more

We enjoyed our food and the service was great! Sam was friendly with great and provided great customer service. He was very patient with my husband since it was his first time eating at a Penn Station. He really enjoyed his sandwich. I also asked the cook to clean off the grill after he cooked my family's food since I'm vegetarian. David cleaned the grill and cooked my food as ordered. This location has gone downhill. It is absolutely disgusting in there. The floor and countertops were all sticky. Trash on the floor, grill was beyond gross. I use to love this place but I won't be back. Lack of help has really hurt this place. The food was not good either. We prefer this Penn Station to the one on the other side of town. The food is always good and the fries very fresh. Unfortunately, my wife eats fries until they are gone while the rest of us eat our sandwiches. Then she is so full she takes the sandwich home. We are planning to require separate fries so we can all have some. Anyway, good sandwiches and fries. A better drink selection would be a major improvement. More sugar free would help too. The tables could be redone because thay have that slightly sticky effect from years of cleaning disolving the varnish so things don't quite feel completely clean. Eat well, tip well. read more

This chain is pretty expensive so it's not a usual spot. Fries are always great and fresh. Philly cheese steak is not like you get in Philly but it is similar to other East-Coast style subs/hoagies. Canned mushrooms, yuck! Skip those because the brine is pretty powerful and will ruin your sandwich. Over the years I've learned what to eat and what not to even try. The Lemonade is classic. MISERABLE experience here last night. Walked in the door for a quick bite to eat after the gym (we placed our order at 7:23 PM according to my receipt). The restaurant looked Bustling-But-Not-Too-Busy, so we placed our To Go order for two sandwiches, and sat down to wait. ....And wait we did. From our order to actually having the sandwiches in our hands it was forty minutes. I wouldn't have minded so much if they were understaffed, or if they had warned us of the wait--but we counted six people working behind the counter. It was just appeared extremely unorganized. When the name on our order was finally called, we went up to the counter to grab it and leave...and waited a few more more minutes waiting at the counter waiting for the cashier to bag our order and hand it to us. Before this point I wasn't irritated at all, but it's extremely frustrating knowing your order is ready and sitting there and we'd already been waiting around thirty-seven or so minutes at this point. The cashier finally bags our order and hands it to us, and we leave. On the drive home we laugh it off--it's no big deal in the grand scheme of things--forty minutes but so what, we're hungry, and are going to go home and relax and eat. ...Except!!--we get home and open the bag, and yes, there are two sandwiches in there. And yes, one of them has a tag that says our order's name, and it's my husband's sandwich. But the other is most certainly not my sandwich, and clearly says someone else's name on the tag. Honestly after what we watched going down in that restaurant as far as unorganized chaos it's kind of on me for not checking before we left, but dang. There were multiple wrapped sandwiches on the counter waiting to go out to people, so you'd assume the person doing the bagging would think to themselves--"Maybe I'd better actually read the name tags on the sandwiches so I make sure I get the correct orders together." So we had to drive all the way back, exchange the sandwich, got an extremely curt "here you go, sorry." from the cashier...just all-in-all a really bad experience. Edited to add: I created this account JUST to add this review, THAT'S how bad this experience was. I can deal with long wait times and incorrect orders if the people are nice. What pushed me to do this was the completely apathetic attitude of the staff. I've worked in the service sector before. Even a fakey "I'm SO sorry you had to deal with that, thank you for your patience!" would be a zillion times better than a mumbled half-apology. read more

Sandwiches are always nice and hot and the fries are great! If it wasn't so expensive I would eat there more often. You have to wait a bit for your food but it is worth it. I've never seen it crowded. I always say I'm going to try something different but I always end up getting the philly cheese steak. read more

Sorry excuse for a restaurant. My sons sandwich had very little steak and was very over cooked. My dads small fry had maybe 15 fries. My husbands came wrong (even though the paper attached was correct). It came as we were all done and ready to leave. Extremely cold inside. Go somewhere else! read more
