Penny Electric is awesome. This company is a local Las Vegas company that has been here for over 20 years. I had them install my solar panels after talking to several other companies. First, the proposal process was very clean and professionally presented. I asked questions and received direct answers. Second, the company sent out inspectors and again gave me full details of what they were doing and what they found. Third, the installation part was painless. The workers were courtious, professional, cleaned up all installation debris. The after installation inspection by Nevada Energy was sent up be Penny Electric. The company's office emplyees are very patient and informative. I asked a lot of questions and they always treated me like I was a person not an account number or a dollar sign. Finally,the warranty is for 25 yrs and they monitor the system. My solar panels were placed on the front of the house and do not take away from the look of the home. They are a little expensive, but the gentleman that I worked with was very nice, answered questions, so that I could understand how things worked on an electrical basis. He installed ceiling fans for me. Very very nice and respectful. However, their office staff the young lady that I spoke with when I had an issue with one of the remotes conflicting with the wall switch for the ceiling fan that they had installed for me. The lady that I spoke with when she called back to confirm that the same guy could come out and take a look and see what's going on.... I want to make it clear. The issue was not something that he did. It was something that an outsider did when they were in the home. But the lady from their office, when she called me to confirm the time that he would be coming, said to me going forward, you will need to find someone else to fix this because we don't do this. I don't know if this young lady was knew, or had taken the time to look to see that , their company had in fact installed the ceiling fans that I went out and purchased and they were still under their companies warranty. However, I still feel that their rates are very high even just to get them in the door. It's ridiculous to me what they charge. But the worker was very nice and very professional. read more

We called Penny Electric because we bought an RV and needed a 50amp outlet connected to our panel. Our home is 50 years old and so was our panel, which was also being used to its maximum capacity. It was not even 100amp service. Penny Electric quoted a new panel cost which we felt was very reasonable/comparable. It took 5 weeks to coordinate with NV Energy for a date for shut-off. The installation day has now come and gone without a hitch. They started around 7:30 (only because they had to wait for NV Energy to shut-off the power. They coordinated EVERYTHING between NV Energy AND Clark County! Because of the coordination of the energy company and the county, we were told that we may be without power until 7:00 or 8:00pm. This was a major concern because my husband and my son are now working from home due to the pandemic. We were thrilled that everything was done and all buttoned up at 3:00pm. In addition to this job, the next day, Penny Electric connected and hung my 2 coach lights on either side of my garage door for a very reasonable price. I had purchase the lights 2 years ago at Costco to match our front porch coach lantern, however, when I brought them home, I was a laughing stock to my husband. Turns out, we didn't have outlets on either side of our garage door! Must have been our old house... lol, so the lights sat boxed in our garage for more than 2 years. read more

They came out and retrofitted my fan to use regular light bulbs instead of the T-9 (the one I was using was discontinued and I could not find one that was an exact match for it) At first they only installed one bulb which made the lighting uneven. I don't write many reviews but there was no way I was not going to mention the AMAZING service by Penny Electric and Mario Navarro the service man who fixed my kitchen cabinet lights. We had all our overhead lighting replaced along with redoing the fire alarms so those batteries that always seem to go low and chirp in the middle of the night won't need to be changed for 10 years. I am very happy about that, as the other companies that I was looking to bid on this work were either at least 2 hours late or never showed. It was a multi day job, and all the days the guys were either on time or early. Every day they cleaned up the job site, so I was able to use my back yard every day after they were gone.
