Most are pretty standard, though there are different ones, like coconut blackberry. I got a taste of the pistachio, which was very good. As a lifelong Westchester resident, my friends and I noticed this new ice cream shop after dinner and decided to check it out. As we walked by, an employee (a man wearing glasses) came outside and asked if we wanted to try some samples. At the time, the store was completely empty. Two of us went inside while the other three stayed outside. I mentioned, "My friends are just shy about trying new things." He immediately responded, "That's something r*tarded to say," and turned his back to me. Another employee then asked if I'd like to try a sample, but after being spoken to that way, I declined. My friend and I left without ordering and went to the ice cream shop down the street instead, where there was a line out the door. Customer service is what keeps people coming back, especially in Westchester. Everyone has bad days, but there's no excuse for speaking to a potential customer that way. I genuinely hope this employee learns to treat people with more respect, because no one should be made to feel unwelcome for simply walking into a business.

I was sad that they were out of soup dumplings but I got the mini steamed buns and he asked if I wanted onions, sesame and sauce on top and I was like of course! I asked him what kind of tea I should have to help my sinuses and he made me a honey lemon jasmine tea mixed with cinnamon, cayenne and turmeric. I was nervous about how it would taste but was pleasantly surprised!! He was very nice and we had a good chat and when I got home and ate the dumplings I was blown away. The sauce and garnishes made such a difference, it was all SOOOO good. I wasn't able to take pictures unfortunately since my phone still wouldn't turn in but I needed to leave a review because I loved my experience. Will absolutely be going back! About a week later: Went back again and got a chocolate horchata, the philly cheesesteak buns and a mochi donut. The dumplings I got last week were better than the buns but I LOVED the chocolate frozen horchata and mochi donut. This really is such a fun little shop!

The amazing white pie is nothing like we have back West, the friendly vibe, fast service and a classic pizza shop everyone should try. RIP SAL and thanks for your tasty legacy!

And this is a place worth checking out. Old-school vibe inside, not at all like the new-wave joints around. You can tell Sal's has been here for generations, which means they do it right. You walk in, there's a pizza counter to the left, a few tables to the right, some more in the back... and a hidden whole other room! So there will be room for you to enjoy your meal. This review is divided for now. My friend got cheese slices. They're big, thin, covered just right in cheese - win. Crust just the right toasty to hold the slice up. Classic NY pizza we got here - everyone in Fairfield County should visit. I peeked over at the other table and they had Sicilian slices that also look legit, if that's your thing. Plenty of cheese, soft crust, all that. Then there's my side. I had looked at the BBQ place next door and decided "nah, too contrived", so when I discovered the neat-looking slices on their platter were BBQ chicken, I went for them. Well, they actually didn't come out that hot. The thickness of the meat probably got in the way. Then there's the fact they were white slices (since BBQ sauce gets in the way of tomato sauce), but not hepped up with ricotta or other white cheese inside. I'd make those suggestions for improvement. There are also some other bizarre slices on offer - they're not afraid of variety! I'd steer clear of the salad pizza though. So based on just the one visit and everything I saw and tasted - 4 stars. I would want to get a whole pie next time for a fresh-baked experience, see how quickly that goes and if it's done just right. I doubt my review will drop, but it could rise up to 5. To be continued... ... So, I came back a second time with my friend. This time, I wasn't even feeling the pizza vibe, so I went with a meatball... wedge. Which is a sub if you're not from the area. Don't be scared by the name. It was tasty, but as I expected, just meatball, cheese, and some sauce. Actually a better balance of sauce to cheese than the pizzas, I thought. I was a little perturbed that our visiting friend's white slice is just pure ricotta, no white sauce below, no mozz on top. From my second experience, I'm keeping it at 4 stars.
