The engine was stellar and probably could have gone twice that with proper maintenance. In 2012, I traded that car to East Valley and got a 1998 Subaru sport model. here I am in 2017 with 105,000 miles on the engine and I lean on that daily driver like you would not believe. I have had engine rebuilds done elsewhere. There is a shop in Burien (superior) that charged me $3,000 for a rebuild on my 1984 Subaru and it lasted barely over a year before the oil turned into chocolate milk. I decided to try another import engine re builder (A-1 Japanese engine.) Same price and even worse result.Another chocolate milk machine.They kept putting chocolate milk machines in until 1 day after the 1 year warranty was over and basically said take us to court. After that I went to Mark and East Valley. I talk to many friends who are also mechanics and have met others along the way and they try and get me to consider them to do my next engine overhaul. I have told them the same thing I am going to tell the public. I can't afford to experiment on another Subaru rebuild. I know what I am going to get with East Valley. I am going to save up 4500 and get 5 years or more of reliable transportation. I suggest you do the same. They do know how to rebuild Subaru engines well and they will last.

I had to call to get updates and they kept saying 45 minutes. Because I 5 is closed and they are coming from Burien, I'm not sure how it could possibly take 6 hours for them to update me and then tell me that they are not going to be able to make it to tow my vehicle. My vehicle was left on the trail head exposed for over 5 hours leaving it susceptible to more vandalism and theft. When I called one of their drivers I felt like they kind of shrugged off my concerns as being a joke. The trailhead was about to close and luckily I was directed with a more reliable tow company who picked up my vehicle before the locked up for the night. Given my experience with A-Seattle towing I will never use them or recommend them to anyone. When I called the manager to state my concerns there was no accountability. He did apologize towards the end of my call. I guess that's something and the closest they will get to being accountable. This could have and should have been handled very differently. If they were not able to make it, they should have communicated that to my insurance company so another tow company could pick up my vehicle long before it got to 6 hours of sitting in the parking lot.

Literally left no stones unturned. They were soo informational and I left feeling confirmed that we knew what was wrong with my car, and that I could get it fixed for only $400 (that included the diagnostic fee). I was surprised and elated to hear that it would cost me much less than I feared. The owner was so exceptional. She called me twice that Friday night to update me on my car and literally was patient, educated me, asked me really thorough follow-up questions, and she wasn't even trying to schtick me for anything! Basically, after examining my car and telling her the backstory of what happened, she was able to come to a conclusion and I left the next morning only paying for the diagnostic fee. They are incredible. Literally, I left feeling so confident in their work ethic and business model. I loved how informative they were, how detail-oriented they were, and how 1 misfortune could turn into a happy ending. Literally, I told them I'm coming back and bringing more people with me! After a couple hours they said my transmission was shot and it would cost $2000 to get it fixed. I wanted a second opinion and took it to the dealership to check it out. They said the transmission looked great and all that I needed was a sensor replaced which was only $300 to have fixed. The sad part is another store that I trust recommended these douche bags. I can see why they have a pour overall rating. Don't trust this company. I will always look at Yelp before I make any decision whether it be food or a service.

I just recently moved out, as things have gotten shadier and shadier around there. The security/safety around the building has become questionable, especially with the RV camp out back. With that said--the worst part, frankly, is the owner. Charlie is his name, and he basically refused the pro-rated refund that 3 people working at his facility ALL said I would receive. I did a speedy move out April 16, as the manager there told me I could get the pro-rated refund if I cleared my unit out asap, rather than wait until end of month. Great! Sadly, I never received the refund, and even thought the 3 different employees told me I should get it--Charlie apparently refused to follow through, telling his manager "we don't pro-rate". But... all 3 of your employees told me you do...!? When I asked to have Charlie call me directly, I was told Charlie said: "I don't talk to customers directly." I explained I would warn people on Yelp if Charlie doesn't bother calling me back, and his reply (through his employee, since he doesn't talk to customers): Fine, post on Yelp. Additionally, when I rented a U-Haul from them, the gas tank was not even filled. Apparently owner Charlie keeps just a quarter tank in there, claiming it's due to the RV camp stealing gas. But... he will penalize truck renters if they don't return the truck at exactly the maybe kinda quarter-ish level the tank had. Makes it real hard for truck renters to fill up ONLY the amount they use. Hmmm... SO... Be warned. Charlie the owner does not follow through, and frankly does not step up when he should. I moved to another storage facility that provided better rates in a more convenient location... and a safer location. I didn't realize perhaps the best benefit to moving: not supporting a shady owner. I'm giving 2 stars rather than 1 because of the years of good service I had when previous management was great, the place was more secure, and shady business practices didn't impact me. I guess owner Charlie's integrity was lost in parallel with the decline of the community around there :-\ Buyer beware--think twice before using 1st Ave Storage.

I had a great experience with this shop, especially with Gilberto, the technician who took care of my case. The service was excellent from start to finish. Gil was very supportive, professional, and took the time to explain everything clearly. He even helped me deal with my insurance requirements, which made the whole process much easier. When I got my car back, it honestly looked like new again. You could hardly tell it had ever been damaged. I really appreciate the care and effort they put into the repair. Here I am again at Big E with another outstanding review…read more Like everybody who shows up to a body shop it's from an accident. Big E took very good care of us and did excellent work. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everybody involved with the repair process. We were kept informed every step of the way, no surprises. They fit and finish of the repair was invisible. I know how hard it is to do a quality job as I have repaired and painted many vehicles over the years and I can tell you that making a paint repair disappear is very high quality work. Again, I thank everybody who was involved in the repair of the vehicle. When the vehicle was returned to us, it looked like it had been through a detail shop, just like brand new.
