It was a very efficient process and the women at the front desk who helped begin the process was very helpful and friendly. After the work was complete, I had an issue with the way the transaction showed up on my company card and I had to contact them a few times to get it resolved. They were communicative, patient and helpful. My partner realized that I was missing a small car part after I got my car back. I contacted them about it and they were very professional about showing me the picture of my car from before they began the work, in which it proved that my car part was already missing. Then, they offered to order the car part for me. A few weeks later I went in to get it installed. I went to pay for it and they waved the fee for the part! That's why we offer a 24-Hour Nationwide Roadside Assistance Program designed to help you in the event of an emergency". TOTAL LIE! They do not offer this to customers. NOTE: This is not a "small business". It's no longer the "mom n' pop" shop, privately owned and operated, that had a good reputation for decades. All of the Jeff's Auto Repair shops in western WA have been bought by Sun Auto & Tire corporation and the original owner, Jeff Gietzen, hasn't been around for years. Sun Auto has been quietly scooping up shops all across the nation and their focus is PROFIT. That's it. Run from this place! __________________________________________________________________________________ Took my SUV to Jeff's (which is actually owned by Sun Auto Tire & Service), based on on-line reviews, for transmission fluid change on Jan 28, 2025. Everything fine then. I knew I needed additional repairs done and when I was ready for that, I called the shop (2/14) to ask if I qualified, as an existing customer, for their free "Customer Care Program" (24-hr roadside assistance basically, including towing) bcuz my SUV wasn't drivable and it needed to be towed to the shop. When I called on Friday, Ryan told me I'd need to talk to mgr Gerry (who was out until Monday) about that program. Shop isn't open on weekends so I left my contact info and waited for call. No one followed up so I had to call shop again! Gerry told me that they no longer offer that Customer Care program -- despite that it's posted on their website and there are brochures about it in their office. Furthermore, Gerry said that they only provide " complimentary" tow service to customers if existing work that their shop performed fails and is under warranty and referred me to a local tow service (I *have* AAA membership but why use that if I can use the shop's free service??) I've since called Sun Auto Tire & Service main office (2/17) and requested a follow up from the District Manager. In the meantime, I'll be getting the $2600+ in repairs done ELSEWHERE as I've found several other qualified shops around here with positive reviews.

All the nuts were striped off and one of the lugs snapped off completely. Every mechanic and engineer I asked on how this could have happened all said the same thing. "The lug nuts were not tightened properly". The tow cost $700 and the repairs cost over $3000! I have looked at the other one star reviews for this particular shop and this is not the first time this has happened. I know I can't do anything about the damages to hold Jeffs Auto responsible without drowning in legal fees. So all I can do is write this review and warn potential customers that this is an issue that is persistent and has not or will not be addressed.

First, Dennis hesitated as it might not be worth repairing. I begged him to at least take a look at the photos. He agreed. After sending him photos by email, he responded within an hour that he thought it would be worth repairing but he would have to find out whether the parts were available. He asked me to give him some time to find out. Two days later, he contacted me that he had found all the necessary parts and that he gave me an estimate of repair price. The repair price was so close to the insurance company's quote, which most repair shops had told me that it was impossible. Since my friend recommended Chau's, I decided to let Chau's do it. Dennis kept me informed the status of the repair, and the repair was done within the time he had promised. When I went to pick up the car, I was surprised and delighted to find it like brand new condition. The body work was pretty, and all the mechanic issues were fixed. The price was still the same as quoted. I am very happy and satisfied. I would highly recommend Chau's.

However I did not appreciate being barked at by one of the mechanics about some sort of break situation, some pad thing that he was yelling at I have no idea. I wasn't happy with the quote for all of the work that needed to be done. I actually ended up taking it to another shop that spent about $400 to unwork on the caliper and make sure everything was done. They checked all my brakes and transmission and everything. In his opinion it didn't need that much work for it to be a functional vehicle for the next 6 months. So mixed reviews because I really did like the lady she was so helpful. And I thought that it was going to be a good shop for me to go to. However the cost for me was just too great for the age of the vehicle. So unfortunately I did have to take the vehicle home. I don't know how their work is because I did not get any work there, but they have great reviews for their work. Was just too expensive of a shop for what I needed done. If I had a newer vehicle and I wanted to put the money into it I would definitely go back again The customer service of the lady was wonderful. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. It took four weeks before they even looked at the car, and another four weeks before I finally got it back. When I mentioned towing it out due to the delay, I soon after got a call saying they had looked at the car and they found all the parts they'd need, and that other shops would take just as long getting them delivered. Wanting to move things forward, I left my car there, but the same cycle continued: every time I called, I was told "tomorrow" or "by the end of the week." Even my insurance agent got fed up and stopped by in person because the communication was poor. Since my car had been broken into, not all of the damage was found the first time. Because of insurance ties, I brought the car back again... only to deal with more frustration. I was told my car was "ready" for me to pickup while we waited on a part, but when I arrived, I waited 25 minutes while they scrambled to find my keys. One again, disrespectful of my time. Apparently they had about four other broken into cars brought into the shop around the same time which of course contributed to the delays. Overall, I handled this experience with a lot of patience and I unfortunately learned the hard way. So if anything, do your research.

He quoted…read moreme a price that was $1000 cheaper than the other 6 or 7 shops and also installed a transmission cooler to stop what was causing the transmission to break down in the first place at no extra charge. That was 2 years ago and it is still working great. I have sibnce had several other repairs done and they are always resonably priced and the work is done quickly. I have never been disappointed by Mark at Seattle Transmission and do not plan to go anywhere else from now on.
