I have been doing business with George and his staff for well over a decade. What people need to understand is the loans through People's Credit are high interest. They are there for those of us who have fallen on hard times and aren't able to get a loan through traditional means. You entered into a contract where they loan you money after agreeing to pay it back with interest and hold a vehicle as collateral. If you don't pay, they take the collateral. This is not a new concept! As with any creditor, if you keep in contact with them about any troubles making a payment, they will work with you. read more

We've done business with George and Jordan since coming back to Sandwich. They've been nothing but helpful and honest with us. Instead of letting us dig ourselves into a deeper hole, they offered better alternatives. They have always been friendly, helpful and good to work with. Horrible Horrible Company! Please don't do business with these people. At first they start off nice and friendly, until your almost done with you paying your car off!! Then they find away damage you. The so called nice people turned rude hanging up and laughing in your face! The manager will accuse you of being in no mans land and is rude and hangs up on you! They lie and basicaly are loan sharks! Please do your reasearch and look at other reviews and you will see how they add up! I wish I did before I did business with them!. Due to extenuating circumstances, I had to take a car loan with People's Credit 3.5 years ago. I made every payment on time or early and at one point I was paid ahead over 6 months on the loan. I refinanced the car loan 1.5 years ago and continued to make every payment on time or early. This month I paid off the entire balance which was just over $3000. People's Credit kept a second key fob 3.5 years ago at the time of my original purchase. I was expecting to receive this second key fob when I received the title but according to Angie, Carina and George, the key is nowhere to be found. I was also informed by them that they are not responsible for returning anything after the loan is paid off outside of the title. Despite the amount of money People's Credit made off of my loan, they were unwilling to even admit they lost the key fob and were not willing to replace it. I hated having a loan with People's Credit. George and his staff are very unprofessional and do not treat you with respect. Instead, they hold you hostage because they have a loan with your name on it and you are most likely in a compromised financial situation. I was treated very poorly especially considering I met and exceeded all terms of my loan and even paid it off early. If you want to be bullied, yelled at, hung up on, misled and taken advantage of, this is the loan company for you. If not, run! read more

Worst company I've ever dealt with!! All the employees are terrible, mean, and unprofessional. They hung up on me numerous times because they don't care to fix their mistakes. They over charge, they scam, and they have ridiculous interest rates. They fully take advantage of you especially if you are in a desperate situation, and they are known for lying. I've never had a good experience with them during my loan duration. I hope no one ever has to go through what they put me through. I recommend staying far away from this company. Worst customer service EVER. They made a mistake on quoting me for the wrong refinance amount and instead of owning-up to the frustrations they caused in the process, I had three different employees hang up on me without explaining where they made the mistake. One of them was George, the manager, who instead of apologizing for his staff, told me to "stop going on and on about what they did" and then told me I could "either keep my loan with them or go somewhere else" and then he hung up on me. I called back and talked to Jordan, who found the error and has been the only accommodating employee there -- so he gets 5 stars for not only apologizing for their mistake but also for the way I was treated. Too bad their management doesn't have the same professionalism he does. Shame on this staff for treating their customers like they're not worth anything. read more

Yikes...I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. They are INCOMPETENT, RUDE and EXTREMELY IGNORANT. I offered to help my roommate out with the money he owed them and help him out until he was working again. And he was behind with them because they couldn't get his banking information correct. They must be MORONS working there. Yet they wanted me to pay,but then told the repair shop where the car was at they the vehicle was being repossesed and not to let him get it back. Thank GOD, the repair garage didn't charge my CC for the repairs, and let me know what was up before they did. They also tried to use scare tactics and put my roommate into an extreme anxiety attack. Worst part is that I personally worked for a Buy Here/Pay Here car lot/Loan company and we were never that ignorant to people and try to use the tactics that they used, and we were an ever higher risk loan provider with an interest rate of 12.9%. read more
