Voegtle's did a great job on my car. There was a problem with my alignment that was ruining my tires. Instead of just replacing the tires, they found the real problem and corrected it! They worked me into their schedule and I am very thankful! They had very reasonable prices. I love that they are a family business and have been in Warrenville for years! They were discussing the safety of their customer being top priority and making sure they did everything they could to make her car safe. I have been taking my cars here for several years now, since it's conveniently located about halfway between my home and work. These guys do great work at a fair price. They're often busy, so it's good to make an appointment if you need something specific done, but they will always do their best to get you back on the road quickly. I have especially appreciated when they've told me that certain parts aren't quite worn out, but will be soon. When I had my brakes inspected a while back, they told me "you'll need new front brakes in 5,000 miles." I was able to plan for the cost, and it was much more helpful than a simple "they're fine" or "replace them today." Take your car here. You won't be sorry. read more

I've been a customer of Voegtle's for some 20 years now, but this is the first time I've felt compelled to write a Yelp review about them. Chuck and Joe have an amazing repair shop that can handle any automotive service job imaginable, large or small. This time, I'd been hearing a scraping noise from one rear brake in my mini-van (a '16 Ford Transit Connect). I asked them to go ahead and replace all four brakes and also install new shocks (actually, shock absorbers in the rear and strut assemblies in the front). I just picked up my van earlier this afternoon and had to drive to Mt. Prospect and back --and it's like my van is brand new again! The brakes work perfectly. Very smooth and even. The new shocks/struts felt like I was riding on a cloud. The front end alignment was perfect with not a hint of drift --I could steer my van with one finger! When you take your car somewhere for service (major or minor), a big factor is trusting the shop and their expertise. If you're considering some auto service and have never tried Voegtle's, look no further. They have expert technicians, well-trained with the latest test equipment. You need not go to a name-brand dealer, trust Voegtle's to do a superb job on your car. My battery died without any forewarning while i was getting gas near Voegtle's Auto Service. It was 10 minutes before closing time. The owner met me at the gas station, jump started my car and followed me to his auto service. I fully expected to have to leave my car overnight and wait for a friend to pick me up. Instead, the owner opened up the garage door and waved me in. He changed my battery within 10 minutes even though they had already closed. I was very grateful for the immediate service. Bought a used car at a dealership last week Monday and by Friday ended up on the side of the road late at night with an infant. We were finally able to get the car down the road a little further just in time to barley make it into Voegtle's parking lot. We didn't have an appointment to drop it off and it was around 11 pm; my husband and I ended up just leaving a note with the keys and got a ride home from family. Voegtle's was very helpful in determining what was wrong with our car; they apologized and said it could a little time since they had so much scheduled work already and said we were welcome to take our car to whoever we regularly use if we needed it done faster. I told them we would just leave it with them; by the next day they knew what was wrong and had continued working on it! I was pleased with how quickly they fit our car in and with the fact that they were up front and gave us options on what we could do, and additionally gave us a discount to help us out. So thankful God put Voegtle's in our path on our way home that night. The dealership now has the car since they sold it to us with issues, but we will go back to Voegtles in the future! read more

Love this place! Love that it is family owned and run! These guys are practical and will tell you exactly what they did, and how to take care of it. They tell you if something still has wear and how long they think you can drive the car before it needs to be replaced. They explain things to teenage drivers without talking down to them. Honesty! Five stars isn't enough. Was driving across country and my AC stopped working. Took it to Voegtle's and received a $1200 dollar estimate. Didn't want to spend that much for car repairs so Chuck said he would get it up on the lift to see what he could do to get the cost lowered. He ended up being to figure out how to repair the leak rather than replacing the tubes. Ended up being half the cost and it now works like new. Honest and really good mechanics. I can't express how grateful I am for the guys a Voegtle's! Yesterday around 1pm I was driving down the street and heard a noise coming from the front of my car, and all of the sudden the brakes locked up and couldn't go anywhere. I called a friend to help me get a tow truck, he didn't know anyone so called Voegtle's for a referral. Just so happens they own and tow truck and were at my location in under 30 minutes. It turns out someone tried to steel the wheels off of my car and left me with only 1 lug nut on the wheel that failed. I got a phone this morning letting me know the car was fixed and all ready for pickup, when i was told the amount of work and what the total was I was to say the least very happy! We were visiting the area from out of state when our rear brakes went out unexpectedly. Our son recommended Voegtle's, having taken his own vehicles there for repair. They had us bring our vehicle in and within a couple of hours got back to us with an estimate for repairs.
