I had an oil change and tire rotation done. After that the car was very noise on the road. I just checked the tire pressure and all the tires were at 28 lbs. They are supposed to be 32 lbs. We will no longer take our vehicle here. Either their mechanic can't read or they don't know their vehicles. 3 times they did not put enough oil in our vehicle. They put 5 quarts and it calls for 6. We have had to take it back twice due to a low oil warning on our car. Both times, 1 quart low. The 3rd time, we topped it off ourself. Unless you want your engine ruined, steer clear! read more

Stay far far away from Pepboys on Radio Rd in Leesburg fl. We broke down a month or so ago and had the SUV towed to Pepboys where the replaced the Alternator that froze up they also said the Serpentine belt was missing and i needed that as well (Kind of funny as the tow truck driver looked at it and said it was fine) well we had it done and yes it was not an easy job as you have to remove the radiator out of a 07 Murano to get to the alternator. The next morning on a cold start up the belt squealed for about 20 seconds and I went to work and after work it squealed again on start up. I stopped at Pepboys the next morning and asked them to look at it and I mentioned it should be warranted as the just replaced the belt and the guy behind the counter immediately copped an attitude and said leave it we will get to it within the next couple of days . WTH... I left and stopped in a few times after only to get the same response each timeI then set up an appointment for Last Friday at 3 pm but it got alot worse so I went to another mechanic locally who tested everything with a mechanics stethoscope ( I watched him) and he found that Pepboys did not even adjust the Idler Pully after installing the new belt showing the mechanics there are either Incompetent, Lazy or looking to cause more damage they could possibly try and charge you to fix as YES they did cause major damage as they blew out my air conditioner compressor due to the wrong tension on it where now it will cost me between 1200 and 2000 to replace elsewhere as I dont trust them ALSO the Mechanic found that when they replaced the Radiator they had to remove to get to the alternator they filled it back up with straight water NO Antifreeze at all I will be posting this all over social media nationwide and even plan on joining hundreds of groups just to give the story on How Pepboys treats Senior Citizens and I will be file a complaint against their license and file reports with the Fl Attorney Generals office as well as Crimes against seniors here in Fl read more

Brought my car in for 2 tires because they had them in stock when mounting new tires they broke the brand new tpms sensor and didn't say anything never called me to tell me car was done until 15 minutes before closing when I got home and was going to program the sensors I found it missing had to call them and they said it was broken in the tire when they took it off I will never go back again dishonest read more

Took my disabled van to get an alignment and manager said it's impossible because "it's a modified van", even after explaining it's all stock suspension the manager was very rude and wouldn't give me his name after yelling at me. Took it to RNR Tire and they said they can do it no problem. After calling main Pep Boys office and reporting them, they called me back and said they can do it they were wrong. This is a very busy little shop and like most places they are understaffed. However they have been taking care of my families vehicles for a little over 2 years. They have never taken us for a ride, where always honest about the problems they found, and if they were urgent or could wait. In this financial climate sometimes knowing a repair is ok to wait a little bit can make a huge difference. They have always been great about working me into their schedule even when booked. The manager David is truly helpful and I highly recommend this business. Just please have some patience with them it is well worth it, the staffing shortage is real and really stinks for all of us. read more

David(the last two years) has gone WAY out of his way to make sure everything I needed was addressed and then some!! These things at the dealership would have easily cost twice as much and probably more. I see 3 reviews. All 3 are now out-of date. This store is terrible and takes advantage of young women. My sister came in to have one tire replaced due to a hole. They convinced her that she needed them ALL replaced and an oil change. We had checked the tires before we left and the rest were fine so I drove there and reviewed the report. It said that tire did need to be replaced. It also suggested replacing the two front tires due to low tread. The report did not show that all the tires needed to be replaced. So it was an obvious sales tactic to get her to spend more money. When I got there I told the clerk to stop as she only needed one replaced. He told me he needed to get the person who helped. I waited ten minutes to which the manager came out. He took me out and showed the tires but did not show proof that they were needing replaced. They only showed regular wear and tear. I did bring up the report to which he said that was a suggestion that his mechanics made but he felt all the tires were bad and needed to be replaced. I told him that I did not agree with him to which he then told me it was too late as they had already removed them they could not put them back on. I knew at this point he was not a nice man nor willing to work with me so I said "ok. She authorized it. If you can't fix then it is what it is but I will be leaving a yelp review". I then tried leaving to which he followed me back into the lobby. He continued speaking to me in a raised voice and was speaking down to me. One of the things he said was "you walked in here like you had something to prove." At this point I was very offended and spoke my mind and left. If I hadn't been so upset I would have told him "no sir. I have nothing to prove but you took advantage of my sister and robbed her and that is not right". I will never do business with this place. I went in there to get a flat fixed and they told me that I would have to buy 4 new tires or they would have a tow truck come and tow my car away for having tires in their opinion that were too worn. I had a four tire replacement and oil change a couple of weeks ago. David the Service Manager at this location is top notch. I did have a problem a week after the tires were installed. These things happen, but David made sure to address the issue promptly and at no expense to me. David is a hands on manager and his direct oversight of his team is apparent. I was really impressed with his management style and his product knowledge. I would definitely recommend this location for your automotive service needs! read more

My daughter broke down 500 miles from home. She was towed in, and these guys made her feel very comfortable in a bad situation. Every step of the way the manager talked to me about the problem and the solutions. Their prices were very competitive. WOW! What a clip joint. Went in with a coupon for $49 synthetic oil change and tire rotation. Was told car needed an extra qt of oil for $10 then told me they wouldn't rotate the tires because there was a difference in tread depth. Dhaaa...that's why you rotate tires. I took my car to Pep Boys for a simple oil change. When I was picking it up I was told I had a bent tie rod that would have to be replaced immediately. Also told that because of this I had one bad tire...and that for proper alignment should buy all four. Quote=$700.00. I took my car to two other mechanics for second and third opinions and both told me my tie rod was fine. In addition, the guy at Pep boys scared the hell out of me by telling me if I didn't do the repairs within two weeks I would likely have a very bad accident. Please get a second opinion before spending money! read more
