I had an issue with my cars ac. I went to two different shops, that priced me at 700$, took my car each time for a week, and brought it back to me with the same exact issue. I let them take it in again (rented a rental car again), but the second I got my car back the issue persisted. At that point I asked for my money back and walked away. When I went to pep boys, they charged me for evaluation, but came back and said it'll only be 300$ and will take a day to fix! I was thrilled. I got my car back and the issue was fixed! However, the second I tried to pull my key out of the switch, the key broke. I got back in, explained I gave them a perfectly working key, I'm incredibly happy with the work, but let's fix this key so we can all walk away feeling happy. The shop manager got crabby and suggested I'm trying to trick or cheat them (not true!) but agreed to pay me back after I fix my key, and so it was! I am writing this review to praise pep boys for fair prices, decent work, and keeping clients happy. It's important to give credit where it's due! read more

My wife and I went in for a flat tire ..they didn't fix it they moved the tire from the back to the front ..with the same screw in the same spot ..because we refused the tire protection that they offered us ...is this is what Pepe boys is about ...ripping off people ... read more

Called to see if they do drain and fill for trans was surprised when I was told yes. They were certain they could get it done and was given a very fair price. I show up and all I said was I had an appointment and the mechanic said he won't work on my car. I was very confused and rather angry instead of wasting my time driving out all they had to say was "we don't work on transmissions" and that would have been that. read more

Had a tire pressure light go on. After I added air the light went off but came back on the next day. I took the car to pepboys because I bought the tires there and had road hazard insurance. They insisted it was a sensor. So while I didn't think it was the sensor I agreed to let them replace it and paid. The very next time I drove. The light came back on and pepboys insisted it was a different sensor even though the very day before, that sensor was fine. They wanted me to pay... again. I told them I would take the car somewhere else and I would never take my car to them again because they did not fix it the first time. Also the guy at the front desk is terribly condescending. I am a senior female. Would he have talked that way to a man? I don't think so. I will point out that, yes, I was upset. I think I have a right to be, however, I never once yelled or cursed. read more

We had just checked all of the tires because I'm going on a road trip tomorrow. Couldn't believe my luck! Called to ask about a patch, and brought it right in. Ordered tires through the Giga Tires web site and had them shipped to Longwood Pep Boys. Everything pre paid in full on the Giga site. Just had to choose an appointment time to have tires installed. Dropped car and waited for phone call to come pick up. David was very friendly and showed me a few things that needed my attention and that should definitely be fixed soon. I have a third party extended warranty and needed my 2009 civic worked on. The alternator had gone bad and the new management is awesome. Got my car in same day, processed my warranty claim and made the warranty company comply with a same day alternator install. I will definitely be going back and referring anyone who asks. read more

I am very dissapointed with the service. We had to take our CRV back 4 different times until it was fixed correctly. Took our Sonata in ti have a bushing replaced, oil change and a tune up. The old spark plugs were left under the hood and the passenger side head light wasn`t working, took the car back and was told that the light bulb was burnt out, which was`nt true because I had already replaced the old bulb with a new one. I don`t mind giving the benefit of the doubt and I know mistakes happen but I do not like dishonesty. Needless to say, we will be looking for a new mechanic. read more

This location on 434 and 1792 has restored my faith in humanity. I had a roofing nail in my tire which went completely flat as I drove into their parking lot. They advised me it could not be repaired. Due to the recent increase in tire prices a replacement was not affordable. I asked them to put the spare on till I could afford a new tire. Much to my surprise they put on a really decent used tire and they never charged me a penny. Well done gentlemen! read more

I have been coming here for quite a while and the other day I noticed the sticker said that they put a non-synthetic oil in my car. I called and asked what had happened. They told me that the gentleman changing the oil marked the wrong oil type. They understood my uneasiness in taking their word for it so they drained and refilled it anyway. I brought my car in because it was leaking oil. They told me my oil pan was basically mutilated because I must have hit something and damaged it. My quote for repairing it was $1,022. An oil pan for my car is less than 80 dollars. They told me the labor was $250 so I couldn't really understand why they quoted me a crazy amount. I ended up taking my car home unfixed and had a friend come fix it for me a few days later. Oil pan in fact was not damaged, it just needed to be resealed. Less than a 100 dollar fix. Don't let this place rip you off :) read more

I was greeted nicely and my car was pulled in by my appt time. I had a slow leak in my rear passenger tire which they assessed and fixed quickly. They advertised $21.99 oil change special. I sent my teenage son....but charged $40.29!!! THEY DIDN'T EVEN ROTATE TIRES AS PROMISED with the deal!!! I sent my son based on a 21.99 oil change and tire rotation ADVERTISED and supposed to check all fluids. My son came back saying they charged 40.29. The scuff mark on the right front tire was still there (before he left had 2 rear Firestone tires, 2 front Primewell tires. Not rotated). Radiator fluid and brake fluid were super low and not even mentioned on his invoice. I have to wonder if they even changed the oil??? Switch and bait people!!!!!!!!! OH BTW TOOK 2 HOURS FOR AN OIL CHANGE!!! read more

On December 19, 2013 I went to Firestone complete auto care located @ 400 W State Road 434 Longwood, FL, 32750 to just get tire flat fixed (there was a neil in middle of the tire). First the lady at the front said we are closing in 25 min and mechanic is busy can I make you an appointment for tomorrow. I told her I need this done today if possible, she said let me talk to mechanic and if he wants to stay little late and do the work. It took her 10min to get answer from mechanic, she said he will do it. I said thank you and she took my information and told me that is going to be $58+change. I was surprise that why it would cost that much to just put the plug in the tire and the tire was in my trunk so they don't have to do any extra work. She said you have low profile tire. I said don't fix it. What a ripoff. They just lost the customer. Few blocks from them there is a Pep Boys on corner of 17-92 and 434, it was almost 6:55pm they close at 7pm. I went in the office and ask the guy if they can fix the flat tire, he said sure just bring the tire. In 2 min my tire was fixed and I ask how much I owe you he said nothing. I said thank you and he said don't worry sir. The mechanic even helped me put the tire in my trunk. Thanks to Pep Boys (Michael & Jerome). They just got new customer with lots of referral. and was a ripoff firestone they try to take an advantage of bed time. read more
