Not great , if you have 3 hours and a 100$ to spend on an oil change then this is the place for you. Otherwise go to the jiffy lube not far from this location. I came here because they had a 20$ off synthetic oil coupon but so does Jiffy Lube making the time i wasted here not worth it. Service isn't great either they told me an hour and I came back two hours later and they said they had just started draining it so it'll be 30 minutes. Dear Pep Boys, how you have let me down, let me count the ways: This last Saturday I came in to get your help for my vehicle, thought I knew exactly what was wrong because I had done my research. My brake light was staying on. Usually that means a fuse or replacing a switch. The woman who I talked to said you would have to charge me $50 just for someone to look at it. METHINKS NOT!!! Maisel Wizniak was extremely INDIFFERENT. Her attempts to help me were ZERO. In fact, when I tried to explain to her that it seemed an excessive charge for something that more than likely was just a fuse. She yelled to the back to take my car out of the garage because they were busy. So, I drove my car to one of your competitors and proceeded to replace the fuses one at a time on my own. I am going to change gears for a moment, but at the end of my story you will understand. About a month prior I took my car to Pep Boys to take a look at a power steering hose that had a pin hole leak, my passenger door window which was not opening as well as a hose in my radiator that was leaking. They gave me an estimate to fix everything that was about $1,200 total. They told me I needed a new power steering hose, (which I did), to replace my radiator completely, and a new window door motor mechanism along with all the labor. I had them replace the power steering hose only which costs a little over $300. Later on my own, I tightened the clamp on my radiator and added radiator leak as a precautionary measure which cost about $10. Fast forward to this past Saturday, in the parking lot of your competitor. I replaced the fuse for the door and now the passenger door works, didn't have to replace the window motor or a switch. Cost $0.00 dollars. How could you not catch something as simple as that. In addition, while I was in the competitors parking lot, one of the mechanics saw me replacing the fuses and checking the brake lights. He asked me what was wrong and I told him my brake lights were staying on. He looked on the floor of the drivers side, picked up a small piece of gray plastic and said, "This is your problem." He then went back to his tool box, brought back two pieces of gray plastic and guess what, the brake lights no longer stayed on. He charged me zero for that, gave me his card and said come back if I should need help with anything else. Bottom line is, I have been a loyal customer for a while now, but it seems like my loyalty has only cost me more money than I should be paying. Seems excessive to replace parts when all I needed was a fuse for the passenger door and to do an electrical diagnostic when all I needed was two pieces of plastic to be replaced on the driver's side near the brake pedal. read more

I've visited this Pep Boys a few times over the years for some various car accessories. It's in a plaza with ample parking. The store is big, bright and well stocked & organized. This location also has an auto center for car maintenance and repairs. There is usually no one on the sales floor to assist in locating an item. Getting assistance if you need it can take sometime. The cashier is usually polite but checking out can take longer then necessary. read more

I went to pepboys by the best buy on Sunrise blvd as soon as they opened dismorning at 7am. I didn't even know they were open because of the construction and when I did go in the guy acted like I was bothering him then he had to go outside and see what the tire size was for some reason and gave me 2 prices I said you are $100 dollars higher and he look s at me and just nudged so I went and got my tires somewhere else. I received a decent price for new tires so I took it in. They didn't call me when the car was ready. When I notice so much time had gone by, I called in. My car was ready! Two days with new tires, front 2 tires were low in air. Took it in and they just added more air. Didn't check for anything else. 5 days later, front 2 tire were low again 26 psi. Took it back in. Explained issue and no interested in my concern. Said to leave the car. I asked for how long, she said we close at 6. What does this mean, come at 6? They didn't seem too busy. They did not answer the phone, but I saw three workers at front office. Only one customer when I left. Customer service sucks there. I will have to deal with them for now for these new tires but do not recommend to anyone. read more

Engine replacement started out shaky but improved after short break-in period and now runs smoothly. Some after the fact tuning required, but all in all I'm quite pleased going forward and the car life was extended for the reasonable price of $4,000. No other systems were negatively impacted by their work. I'm sorry for the prior negative review. I would remove it if I could. But it goes to show how wrong reviewers can be due to personal emotional issues that can cause panicky reactions even when unjustified. For example: car owners don't often check under the hood, and can sometimes point an accusing finger at the wrong person or for the wrong reason such as when someone's actions were meant to be helpful, not dishonest. read more

DO NOT GO TO PEP BOYS. Let's start with the simple stuff. If you say you open at 0730, then you open at 0730. I was there before 0730 and 2 employees wandered in at 0738 and opened the front door. No hurry, no apology, no nothing. 2nd thing, I was here for a manual transmission fluid change. I had called the night before and made an appointment for it. I specifically asked if they did it and how much. The person told me yes and quoted me $59. I made the appointment for 0730. Now fast forward to 0745 Monday morning. The service person tells me he isn't sure if they can do it and has to ask the technician. Ok when will that be, "0830 when they get in." i called pep boys at 12 noon to have my car towed over to the sunrise location. l live about 2 miles from there. my car wasn't picked up until 4:45. I called several times but was forwarded to their chat customer service. useless. anyway once they finally picked up the car they said someone would call to let me know they recieved the car. didn't happen I called twice and finally they acknowledged they had the car. clearly by that time nobody was going to work on it. next day I got a text that they recieved the car‍. that was at 9 am. I called at 11 am and still no one had even looked at the car. they said they would check it and call me back right away. didn't happen. I called back at 1 pm they said it needed a battery. I agreed and said to proceed. I Tod them I would pick it up within the hour they said hour and a half. ok. my car was given back to me at 3 pm. Thanks for the work. Unfortunately someone either your tow truck guy or one of your techs stole my sunglasses from my car. I know I should t of left them there but I was hoping your employees would be honest and not steal other people's Property. Went to get an oil change, took 6 hours. One hour after my oil change my temperature gauge shows overheating. Never had this issue before and coolant was filled 1 or 2 months prior. Returned a week later to see if maybe a hose was accidentally loosened. They quote me $600 to replace a water pump. The part is $60 on rockauto. Something shady going on there. In the past I have gone there to have my starter replaced on another vehicle, they quoted me almost $400. I bought the part online for $90 and replaced it in 90 minutes without any prior knowledge of how to do it. My advice to you is to not "trust the boys" because they won't "get you there" read more

He went in and the front desk man was lazy and said he couldn't look up his account and then basically dismissed him. 2 minutes later he walked up to a different guy and he looked him up just fine. My boyfriend went in for a flat tire. All they did was put air in it and say that nothing was wrong with it. Not even 2 minutes after driving off the lot the tire WENT FLAT again. I normally get that done at the Ford dealer but they were so busy I didn't want to wait the 2-3 hours they estimated, so I dropped in here. They helped me right away, estimated max 90 minutes. After having my car die on the way home due to a bad battery I called this Pep Boys location to see if they had availability to do a battery install - this was around 8pm. I spoke with Joshua who was quick on the phone but very helpful. He gave me an array of battery options for my vehicle and when he heard my gasp at the pricing he openly mention that they had specials and would honor online pricing as well. He also mentioned they would honor a coupon. After a quick email search (since I'm signed up for their email notifications) I found a recent (amazing) coupon which he was happy to accept and apply to this. When I brought my car in Josh was there and he was quick to look up my information on and take my car into their body shop to get started. He reminded me that they did close at 9 but said to come back in about 30 minutes and my car would be ready. After a quick walk around Best Buy I came back and everything was ready to go. The folks at this Pep Boys location definitely made this dead car battery inconvenience a breeze to deal with and with such fast, friendly service. They told me in two hours they would have my car ready. Went back at 12 and told me another two hours because they were busy. Now I come back at 2pm and they haven't even started on my car yet. One of the worst experiences in my 30 years of owning a car. They are called pep boys because it's clearly a BOYS club. My belt broke and conveniently after they "fixed" it my AC started acting up.....by the way the faulty belt they placed on my car was squealing from the 1st day.....and had to be replaced. I explained that since that my air was acting up but it went on deaf ears and they hand it me a $520 estimate but only after I called them over 10 times and demanded to know what was going on with my car. Getting into your car in the morning and having it not start, is not the best way to start your day. Luckily, my jumper cables and a helpful neighbor had me on my way in no time. I assumed I needed a new battery, and decided to try Pep Boys on my way into work. I got lucky, in that they were not so busy. I was in and out of there in just around a half hour. Service was professional and friendly. Price was very fair. The place is clean. An added bonus is that there's a Best Buy right next door, and other restaurants and shops right accross the street if you need to wait longer for your car. Only one complaint: their wi-fi stinks. I went today to pep boys on broward sunrise. My Ac was leaking , I wanted to fix it . At first they said it needs two hours to be fixed I said can you do it in one they said OK I came after 15 minutes from waiting in Best Buy, They said the job is done and they charge me $77 so I went to pick my car , the AC was still not working and I ask the guy what did you do exactly coz my AC is still not working . So he directly screamed : " I knew it , you were trouble maker ! I You are Lebanese " . I was like what are you saying I'm here to fix my AC and & you are being racist asking me that I'm a troublemaker because I'm originally Lebanese . I asked him how did u know I'm originally Lebanese , he try to change subject saying : " that's all he could do , and that he only add refrigerant". Yet I didn't feel he did anything !! All he did is being super rude . I told him I will report this to my bank if they don't give me back my money back & I will write a bad review online . He then said he will take out the air he put in AC & said my car will be super hot . But I told him you didn't do a thing so take out whatever u used , and give my money back . Took my car for engine light on. They kept it for 4 days to fix it, when I picked it up, driving off the lot the engine light came back on. I went back in, had to leave my car for another 4 days, they changed 2 more parts as they said the first time they changed the wrong part. Do not take your car to this place, they do not have knowledgeable employees.
