When I had a bad experience with the service at the Davie Pep Boys, they sent me over to this location to have an AC technician take a look. The manager, here (I'm pretty sure his name was Mike), was extremely nice and accommodating and helped take a look at my car when I had problems after an oil change at the Davie location. The only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is because they told me I needed an AC blower resistor, but when I took it to the dealer they said the problem was that the AC computer needed to be reset. read more

UPDATE: The manager at this store, Maistel, truly turned a bad experience into a great one. Not only did she understand and cared about how I felt, she came up with a great solution and helped me more than I could even imagine. Do not go here. I called ahead in the morning asking for an appt. for an oil change and they told me I don't need an appointment and to just come in with a 4 hour wait. 20 minutes later when I arrive they told me they're completely booked and it would need to be left overnight. What a waste of time. I even called saying I wanted to make an appointment to avoid them pulling this crap on me. Horrible customer service too. I was on hold for 5 minutes until I hung up twice. I appreciate a gentleman by the name of Kevin for helping me with my AC issues. He took the time to run some tests and walk me through exactly what my issues were. If he is not a manager of this branch then they should reconsider his current role because he went above and beyond to help me with my problems. Another shop quoted me for $1600+ for repairs. Juanita with the assistance of Kevin--was able to confirm I did in fact need the work done..but was able to get it down to $1100. I was very happy with the price of course but most importantly I walked away with a trustworthy auto-shop. The auto industry is extremely greedy/shady...but I walked out of pep boys feeling comfortable and for the first time in years I felt like I was NOT TAKEN ADVANTAGE of. Thanks for taking a really crap situation and turning it into a really positive experience. There is no price tag on authentic people who genuinely care to help people rather than simply milk every penny out of the pockets. read more

Leanne 9546800561 I've never written a bad review about any business in my life, and I'm rarely one to complain. I was unsatisfied with my service at this pep boys. I even brought my car back the second time, and I didn't even complain then. I went in to get an alignment and balance on my tires. They called me mid service and said I needed "one" new tire. And that's why my car was shaking. So I replaced one tire and I was on my way. My car was still shaking, so I checked the tire pressures and noticed they didn't fill the tire up the factory specs. The tire was extremely under inflated( it says the spec psi on the door). So I thought no big deal, so I filled them all up evenly. I also found out that they didn't actually torque my wheels on. Just drilled. Even then I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I took my car back and asked for them to balance it this time. They called me and said, I actually needed "all" my tires replaced now because of uneven wear and the tires were splitting. That was partly true, but why didn't they check all the tires in the first place? I couldn't trust them to do the work, due the fact that they didn't do the job properly the first time. So even then I didn't complain, I was just going to take my car elsewhere. As I went to inspect my tires myself, I noticed LIFT DAMAGE on both sides of my car. I'm unbelievably shocked at the the poor execution of this location's service. How could someone pay for a service and it be botched up so many times. I highly recommend to never request service at this location. Stay away. read more

My wife Axel was Broken and after looking everywhere to get it fix, I call Pepboys in Sunrise. The were a lot cheaper and the service was amazing. The Manager empathize with us, the team help to find the parts as soon as possible and the follow up was always there. I needed a new battery, very fair price, I was in and out in a little over an hr on a busy day.

I took my car in to be serviced at the Pep Boys on 08/29 specifically for the roaring noise on my vehicle. They did an evaluation check on my car and told me that I needed a sway bar which was worn and new tires, etc. I mentioned that I specifically wanted to fix what was contributing to the noise and the associate told me the sway bar needed to be replaced so I said go ahead and replace that then and I would wait on the tires. Now that I know...word to the wise women sway bars don't make the noise I described it was keeping. When I got my car back it was still making the same noise and I took it back and then they said it was maybe the wheel barring but test drove it supposedly the second time and said it's the tires making the noise. After I paid them to do the work over $250 for a sway bar that could've been replaced later but they told me that was the problem. Needing new tires was obvious but didn't tell me that the tires was the main problem for the noise; otherwise I would have got tires in the first place. They changed the words around and paperwork after I called corporate then expected me to turn around and pay for tires. Oh and all of a sudden I need shocks, struts put on too and not to mention wheel alignment totaling almost $2,000. Be careful with Dennis Santana he is a con. read more

Worst place to go to. Do not go at night when manager is not there. "Mechanics" here will take advantage of you and bleed you dry of whatever money they can take. Don't know what they're talking about. Highly doubt I will be able to get my money back after them not doing anything for my car. These people are evil. I've been coming to this Pep Boys for quite a long time and usually they do pretty good. Yesterday I dropped my car off in the morning before work for an oil change even upgraded to a package deal. I asked if anyone could drop me off cuz I literally worked only 2 miles away but he told me they don't do drop offs. It was a very busy day at work and had to call to find out how everything turned out. The gentleman I spoke with didn't seem to really know what was done exactly except for an oil change. I asked if they'd be open till 9 he said yes. When I tried to call to say I was on my way to pick it up I could not get through the phone line at all. When I looked at the website it said they closed at 8 o'clock. So my car got locked up for the night. And since I worked till midnight, I had to rely on friends to help me out. Today when I called in to report the situation to the manager he said that no one could pick me up but at least he was willing to reimburse me for the Uber. read more

I had the most horrible experience in this location. My car went in for an a.c. repair, they "fixed"it only to have to go back the next day because it was still not working. Then they tell me it's a whole other issue, I rent a car because they said it would take 3 days to fix. On the 3rd day I call them 1st thing in the morning to make sure my car will be done or if I should extend the rental, management informs me my car will be ready in the afternoon. I never received one phone, so after calling them about 4x to touch base they tell me @ 8pm that my car is still not ready. The manager on the floor had no explanation or answers for me. I am now carless till they decide when they can start working on my car! I will NEVER service my car or shop @ Pep Boys again! read more

I don't usually write reviews but I just had to write one regarding my experience yesterday 11-24-21. Horrible experience and location, I spoke with Joel the store manager on Monday 11-22-21 regarding the purchase of four tires, he convinced me to pay for the tires and service ahead of time so it would guarantee that the tires would be available at the location for Wednesday 11-24-21, I was also advised by Joel to be at the location at 10am. I arrived at the location at 10:15 am, at which time I was told that my vehicle wouldn't be ready until 5pm. At 5:15pm after not receiving a call I contacted the store no one would answer the phone, after calling several times a female employee picked up the phone, she asked for the vehicle description once I gave her the vehicle description she put me on hold and after a few minutes I was hung up on, tried calling again and no one would pick up the phone, so it left me no choice but to respond to the store. Once at the store 5:30pm now, I was informed that the car wasn't ready that they were waiting on a tire, I explained to her that I purchased the service on Monday because Joel assured me that if I paid ahead it would guarantee that the tires would be available. Basically after waiting in the store another 15 minutes they finished installing the tires but didn't do the alignment that I pre-paid because I refused to wait an additional hour. This place is a joke, never again will I use Pep Boys. No wonder their stores closed they should have closed the whole service department to. read more

Please don't go here for service... First it starts with the "service advisor" that neither provides service or advises. If you are first in line, it will still take 10 minutes to actually talk to the advisor, who will take a phone call before talking to you. Ironically, every time I try calling, they tend not to answer the phone and/or put you on hold to forget about you. To be fair, these guys aren't rude or anything, they just aren't efficient and the place seems to be way understaffed. The inefficiency continues in the actual service work. Even when the shop is absolutely dead, your car will sit in the parking lot for AT LEAST a half an hour before it ends up in the service bay. A tire rotation is a minimum 2 hour job here, and much longer when it's busy. That is just not acceptable. When your car is actually done, you will stand for 10 minutes again to get your keys back, although today I was standing for about 35 minutes. You can also forget about free WiFi or anything like that in the waiting area, which would be excusable if they didn't charge so much for many of their services. Go hang out at Best Buy next door instead. Also, I don't recommend getting any "real" service done here if you have a later model Volkswagen because they tend to be pricier then even the dealer, while offering lower quality parts/warranties, and you really shouldn't be servicing a Volkswagen outside of a dealer or German specialty shop anyway. As far as the rest of the store, there is a good selection of parts and accessories, but they tend to be overpriced and the customer service is lacking compared to other auto parts stores that charge less. read more

Took car in for a battery change and got my car back with bigger issues. Engine light was on and car was turning itself off every time I came to a full stop. I took car back and was told it would be $100 for a diagnostics on what they had caused. Service manager agreed to waive fee for "customer satisfaction". After they reviewed the car I was told it would be $339 for new spark plugs and a cleaning of a valve. Seemed ridiculous so I took my car to my normal mechanic to have it looked at. Come to find out it was a computer issue that only cost me $80 to fix with him. read more

Normally I like the service here at this pep boys location but my most recent service I got two brakes done in front of my car( I don't remember if it was shoes or pads) anyway I got them because my current brakes were squeaking. 2 days of my new brakes car ran great. 3rd day squeaking again. One of the workers there named Javier told me my brakes are still squeaking bc my car is getting use to the "new" brakes. Needs time to adjust. ???? What kind of freakin foolery is that?!! What?? About a week ago I was having battery problems around 7:30 at night on my way home from work and as luck would have it, I called Pep Boys in Plantation and they were AWESOME!! I spoke with Jessica the Service Manager and she said no problem, come on in!! The mechanic determined it was in fact my battery and Jessica was able to find me a battery that was in my budget. Both Jessica and Felicia the Retail Manager made a stressful situation a breeze. I would recommend this location and especially these employees to anyone.. at anytime!! read more

The customer service is horrible. Made an appointment on Friday for oil change and brake inspection. After two hours no call to me about my truck when I called to get status, Rolando told me my number was not in system after being on hold for 23 minutes Josh took the vehicle in without verifying my telephone number. Ok that was solved next issue I asked about my brakes and they stated my rear brakes were low. I gave ok to fix and keep truck overnight. Next day all of a sudden they called and stated I needed to flush my brake system and replace rear wheel cylinder. When I asked the price the young man stated he will call me back. After two hours of waiting for call back I called store and again was placed on hold for over 20 minutes, when someone finally came on phone to help they told me my paper work was lost. I was so upset at this point. The young man as a courtesy waived the fee for the oil change which calmed me down but on the paperwork it stated I declined to have front brake installed. Now Im forced to drive around until next week with half ass brake service from Pep Boys. No one takes responsibility for any problems that arise. I had a bad experience with them before but the GM Martisol made it better so I gave them a second chance and same result. I dont like to post any negatives about anybody but they need to fix their system and stop trying to rip off customers and give bad service. read more

I wish I could give a zeroYour employees caused issues with my window motor and button. When I came in my windows were up and my alternator was dead. They fixed my alternator and somehow ended getting my two front car windows stuck. After fixing three fuses one window still won't come up. The manager tried to deny her employees touched my windows when we brought in a dead car that had all windows. We followed our triple AAA tow guy up there and he didn't touch nor would he be able to push car windows down in a dead vehicle. They still have my car and are trying to make me ay for a window motor. When their employee said the tech blew out the motor today trying to diagnose the window issues. With my legal background I feel I should sue for a non functioning window. When I gave you guys my car my windows worked. All of this because I trusted pep boys to fix my alternator. read more

South Florida needs more people like these guys. I have spent hundreds here over the years, and let me tell you that they always did the job right. The managers were also nice to me. All I was getting was a simple oil change so I didn't think it would take more than 45 minutes to do so. Well at 12PM I asked the guy Patrick at the register and he said my car was next!! I was kindly greeted by Matthew, the sales technician, who was very friendly and very professional. He was glad I had made an appointment, and informed me that it shouldn't take too long. As I waited, a number of customers came in. I couldn't help but hear how great Matthew's customer skills were. He was very kind and helpful. He took the time to update one of the customers waiting. I waited almost an hour, but since a friend was picking me up for lunch, I informed him that I'd be back. They did call to inform me that my car was ready. When I returned, Matthew helped me again. I try to give places the benefit of the doubt because just because one person sucks at their job doesn't mean all of them do. However, I have given this place THREE chances and today was the final straw. I will NEVER go back to this place and I will make sure to tell everyone I know to avoid Pep Boys like the plague. Your service is TERRIBLE. Not counting the last time I was in there where you guys told me it would only take an hr and a half, but it ended up taking FIVE while I WAITED!! But I called there on Friday the 18th of Sept and was told they would be able to perform the service I needed (to install new car stereo speakers in my car) and they proceeded to take the appointment over the phone. Even asked my name, phone number etc. THE FIRST PROBLEM I encountered there this MORNING the 20th of Sept, was that there WAS NO APPOINTMENT in the system. WHY THE HELL take my info if you aren't going to put it in the computer? THEN on top of that, they didn't have either of their master techs coming in that day, and the only other person who MAY be able to do it was going to be late by thirty minutes (which btw I was told was a regular occurrence. Must be nice to work for a place that doesn't require you to be to work on time!) and that if I waited fifteen mins they may be able to get in touch with him. I waited. Then i was told Nope! he's not going to be in and they couldnt get a hold of him to verify if he could do the installation. WASTED MY TIME yet again Pep Boys. Shame on me for thinking your place may have changed. SMH. You guys are ridiculous. You have permanently lost my business. I would rather go to Good Year or somewhere else that actually CARES about their customers. You need service, people? DON"T GO TO PEP BOYS.
