This used to be a Discount Tire Center and was much better when it was! They won't honor any DTC policies and when I left my car their for an oil change they totally screwed it over! When I called to complain they had the nerve to tell me their guy didn't mess up! I will NEVER bring my car here again and I discourage any reading this from bring your car to them! This is my favorite pep boys to go to! They have very friendly workers and they're very professional. Plus, they have a nice waiting room, they have a Keurig with everything you need to make your coffee in the morning and they also have complimentary chips and red vines. I came here today to get air in my tires. They were very friendly and no one tried to pressure me into getting any services even though I was just getting a free service. He didn't even accept my tip. The employee that greeted me and the one that filled my tires were both very pleasant and I was helped right away. I also brought a friend here for new tires when they had just barely opened and I found their service excellent then also. I will definitely be back. read more

This pepboys may have couple bad reviews but people have to understant that its huge corporation and any location will give you almost the same price. Ive done photography for a Pep boys in Corona, Grove Grove, pretty much every pep boys around socal and I am friends with the Manager of the Pep Boys in North Hollywood. Im currently dealing with transmission issues from Califrnia Transmissions but when I dad a bad job changing my front brake pad and it messed up on the freeway in Riverside. I was able to get an incredible pep boys tow driver. and The pep boys employees gave me honest advice and I told them I would try to fix it over the weekend. I wasnt able to and I took a lyft home. honestly my ex girlfriend screwed over by a pep boys starting work and I was afraid this might have been the case but they called me first thing monday to ask what happened. I told themwhat happened and if it can sit there till i can come back. Honestly it may have the first I felt worry free without my Tahoe because there was communication. Make sure you leave plenty of time, even when you schedule an appointment. I made an appointment for 11 to get my tire plugged (that's it- just plugged!) and they didn't move my car until 11:35. When I asked the manager about it, he stated, "we scheduled 3 appointments for the same thing for 11 and we only have one guy. You should be next." So basically I wasted 30 minutes of my hour lunch break because they triple booked appointments. If i didn't buy my tires from them, I would take my service elsewhere. Then they couldn't get the lug nuts off and asked who changed my tires last- they did!! It took an hour and 20 minutes for them to change my tire. I haven't really had any problems previously, but today is unacceptable. read more

$10 "Labor" per wheel to dismount tires. $40 for no more than 5 mins of work... what is the Hourly Shop Rate? Ridiculous!

I went in on 02/23/17 because I had a tire blow out out in the front of my car. I was told that the new tire had to be in the rear of my car for safety issues and that the tires needed to be rotated to do this. I had an oil change done and tires rotated. Or so I thought. Later I discovered that my tire was put in the front and to top it off they put way too much air in it as my TPMS sensor went off on that tire. I called the store and was told that the tire position made no difference and that if I wanted to have the tires rotated to come at a later date because they had other customers. When I explained to Jose Casillas the store manager that I was told by two of his staff members that they said the tire needed to be in the rear, he said "well I have no room". They had room to take my money they should of taken care of the problem in the first place. I called the companies customer service number on 02/25/17 asking to speak to the Area Director and was given a case number and told to wait for his call. Waited a week and called customer service again still no call from him and was told they don't call clients on weekends. He had a whole week to call. Terrible customer service. I called other pep boys to inquire about a tire and tire placement they all said the same thing. IT SHOULD GO IN THE BACK FOR SAFETY REASONS!!! Guess the next step is the BAR since I paid for services I didn't receive. I would give zero stars if possible. read more

Been going to this location since it opened. Always had good service. Enough to recommend friends and family. Used to be straight forward and honest. My son returned from them after having tires rotated with a stripped stud. ( which they neglected to tell him about)And they told him he needed brakes. Took it to another mechanic said he in no way needs brakes and he was most certain that the stripped stud was the fault of Pep Boys. I called to get a resolution to no positive resolve. Turns out they have a new service manager who instead of listening to my concerns, he kept telling me he wasn't finished talking. This place went downhill fast. So sad , I thought I had the exception to Pep Boys well known service issue. Well it was good while it lasted. So sad for those that work there. Now they will be labeled just like the rest of Pep Boys mechanics. Sell the customer services they don't need and always say that whatever you screwed up wasn't your fault. My wife took her car to this store for a simple oil change. They scratched her bumper. The oil was pouring out on garage floor, when temperature was 107. The assistant manager called my wife a liar about scratch, and the oil leak. Said it was coming from somewhere else. Just got the run around. This is a joke. Poor customer service, assistant manager treated my wife like dirt. Don't recommend Pep Boys for any kind of service. Buyer beware. read more

I'm very upset with my service on 4/7/18. The service clerk tried making me pay more for my oil change (semi synthetic). I told him more than once I had an online coupon for $24.99 and he kept telling me it would be $39.99 plus tax. He kept insisting I was mistaken up until another clerk walked in and heard our discussion. After our discussion the clerk that walked into our conversation explained to the other clerk that he was mistaken and I was actually right. The first clerk apologized to me with a negative attitude. And apologized to me again with another negative attitude as I was exiting Pep Boys. During the oil change Pep Boys also offered tire pressure checking, I was fine with that. However soon after I had left in my mini van, the low tire pressure indicator light came on, I thought that was strange. I took my van back this morning (4/7/18) and a mechanic checked my pressure and started mentioning it was probably my indicator light, he kept saying probably the battery it uses might need to be replaced. Now come on I had no issue with it at all before I took it to Pep Boys and now they're telling me I might need the battery replaced. I drove off after my tires pressures were check again, and what do you know the indicator light came back on, so again I take it back and now the mechanic is telling to bring it back on Monday so they can run some tests. I wasn't born yesterday, it just sounds more like I'm a victim of a fraudulent mechanic(s)!! read more
