Fast service and fair pricing, I was really amazed at the service. Despite the negative reviews I would give this shop a chance. I needed a new battery, a full oil change, and new rear brakes. They did all this in few hours, and I was really impressed with the quality of the work and their communication. You get text messages throughout the process, and they call you after the full inspection is complete to let you know what it going on. In addition, Ron has all of the available coupons right at the front desk applied them and let me know about special discounts without me even asking. Also, they have the best battery price in town. I looked at O'Reilly's, AAA, Walmart and they have the best deal plus a coupon for free installation. I will use them again for sure! read more

Jose greets me with what do I need. I say I suspect a flat in my driver rear tire. He ignores me and then says wait. Comes to my car and proceeds to put air in the tires. I ask to not put air he tells me stay in car. I got upset about this and his manager tells me in 8 years he never seen someone upset about them checking my tire pressure. They didn't just check it. 1. Opening time posted online and on the door is wrong. The shop does not open at 8. It opens at 9 or 10, depending on staffing levels. We were told that due to labor laws, mechanics couldn't start until 9 or 10. When I asked about changing the times to align with actual times, they said corporate wouldn't allow them to change the time, which seemed odd. 2. My appointment was at 10 am, but they didn't start work until 4 pm?!?! I asked and was told, "We were very busy." Hmm - the definition of "appointment" is an arrangement to meet someone at a particular time and place. Curiouser and curiouser... 3. Don't install used tires - I understand this one, but the tires are brand new from Tire Rack. 4. Repair took 1 1/2 days to complete. It was a simple alignment. Hmmm 5. Finally, upon pick up - (BTW - I had to call multiple times to check the status) - I found that they charged me for installing and balancing the tires. I should have taken the other bad reviews seriously. I arrived right on time for my appointment, came back 50 minutes later after being told it would take 45 minutes to an hour to do my vehicle oil change, and it hadn't even been started! The guy looked around and said oh, I guess the guy that was supposed to do your oil change went to lunch. I got my keys back and left in disgust. I bought a lifetime alignment service. I had the tires aligned one time. When I went in later they had a record of a tire purchase (I never bought tires there), and they claimed that although my name and phone were in the computer, I had not purchased the alignment. This boils down to lack of integrity. I believe this must have been an intentional change to my record, not a computer glitch. All of the other info is correct on the records. I am extremely disappointed. I replaced the front brakes on my car and brought it to them to do the rear set simply to save time. They did not replace the wear sensor when they replaced the brakes and rotor. I spoke with the manager just now and he said they didn't install wear sensors with their brake jobs. I've been buying brake kits for twenty years and I don't think I've ever seen one which didn't come with the wear sensor. This seems to be a hidden, post-repair add on. Now I'm going to dig out the invoice to see which pads they actually installed--I'm banking on the pads having a proprietary notch for the sensor in order to compel me to have them install it. For an extra $165. Additionally they took it upon themselves to do a 'courtesy vehicle inspection' (which they didn't do when I had them do the rear brakes) and conveniently suggested I needed new rear tires and a belt. I went to Pep Boys to check out where an oil leak might be coming from and an oil change. My appointment was at 1:30. They told me about an hour, and so I came back in 1.5 hours. They hadn't started working on my vehicle yet. I waited about another hour before they brought it in for service. They started to change the oil before looking where the leak might be from. They then changed the oil, and informed me that it would need to be changed again when the oil leak was repaired - somewhere else because they couldn't figure it out. Totally unprofessional. Brought in my saturn vue for replacement battery and alternator. These geniuses put a brand new battery in the vehicle without my authorization without a new alternator. When I pressed them as to why they would put a new battery in with a faulty alternator in the vehicle. Manager's response was "so I could drive it away"??? To where? The next repair shop??! Told them to remove battery and leave car alone as they wanted almost $1200 for a battery and alternator (Way out of line for needed service). I was quoted $500 at another place. When I picked up car, these "pep boys finest" never bothered to remove the battery! So thanks for the battery pep boys (even if not the correct one) I highly recommend trying them as no telling what freebie you may walk away with! Not at all professional, unauthorized work being performed, highest price quote...what's not to love here!! On second thought stay far away, not worth dumbing yourself down for car repairs. Went to Pep Boys for an oil change a few weeks ago. They did a full inspection and said I would need to get my brake pads replaced too. Went back a few weeks later for an appointment to get the brake pads replaced at the same exact location. I dropped off the car, went and waited a few hours, and waited for the diagnosis call. After 2 hours of waiting to hear from them, I decided to give them a call, as they said they would call with a diagnosis before doing anything. I waited on hold for about 25 minutes before deciding to hang up and call back. On the second try, I was put on hold again for them to finally tell me the diagnosis- no brakes needed to be replaced and my car had been ready, at the same place that told me my brakes needed to be replaced! Worst tire shop I have ever been to in my entire life. Mind you I never yelp or write reviews this is the first review I have ever left because I feel the need to warn people however, I do read yelp reviews often before selecting a business. So I do find the app helpful and see the value in using yelp. I read a couple of not so nice reviews but I only came here because they were one of the few tire shops that were open on Sunday that had my tire size in stock and i didn't want to wait until Monday if i could get it done on my day off. I said how bad could they be surely they wouldn't be in business if they couldn't be trusted to replace tires after all it is a tire shop, how can you mess up on tires if you are a tire shop, boy I sure wish I waited until Monday to go to Les Schwab. I removed and brought them 5 wheels to have new tires put on (old ones taken off) rubber valve stems replaced of course and have them balanced pretty standard procedure right? What could be easier the tires were already off the car. I carried them in to expedite the process. I would think this would be a tire guys dream when someone does half the work for you. Anyways after they were done and never called me to tell me. Luckily I was in the area grocery shopping and came to check on them. I picked the wheels up and left the tire shop got home realized all the valve stem caps were missing except for 1 and it was loose!! I had them change 5 tires (1 is a spare) I put them on the car and lowered the jack and one was flat right off the bat I had to put air in it. Decided to check the others and found the psi was all over the place!! One was at 60psi (45psi max). Adjusted all pressures drove around next day I looked and right rear was flat again. Aired it and sprayed it with soap and found it leaking out of the recently replaced rubber valve stem between rim and stem. I looked over the others and even checked tightness of all valve stem cores and noticed they didn't change 1 of the rubber valve stems on another tire after I specifically asked the guy at the counter to replace them all bc these were off a 1963 nova and have age on them. Pulling teeth to get an appointment to come back up (1 week later) and have them do their rework: (how am I not a priority!!!) install the valve stem they forgot to change and replace the leaking valve stem on the tire that goes flat. They thought it could be rust and said they'd have it done by Monday. I told them I would just come in next Saturday to get them but call me when they are done or if I need to come up and buff rust off of rim if that is why it was leaking since they couldn't even do that (Les Schwab told me they would do it if it needed it) long story short Saturday rolls around no call I get up there guy said he was just about to call me (yea right!!!!!) he asked me what we were doing to the wheels again (WOW!) then takes me out in the shop tire was still off the rim and shows me no rust on inside of rim where the part actually seals. But says it won't seal bc of rust on outside of rim. WHAT! I bet he forgot to tighten it if it was that style stem. At this point I'm furious they are not done and no phone call. And I gave them until Saturday (a whole week) when he said they'd be done Monday I gave them a week in case it lost air again i would know it before I left I gave them ample time. I went to grab everything to get the F*** out of there bc these clowns cannot be trusted to do anymore work and I can't wait any longer I've had it at this point!!! and then I noticed my classic car rim was gouged and metal shavings were sticking up sharp as a razor blade. Guy was not concerned at all actually making a joke out of it and said he warns people with nice wheels beforehand about it. Well you didn't warn me you F*** head! I then went to the tire machine that he keeps telling pep boys to replace and see the 4 wheel holders that are plastic and probably serviceable pieces are so worn it goes metal to metal against your rim and cuts into it. Long story short I took it to Les Schwab and gladly paid $28 they fixed me up no leaks I never looked back I have zero problems just like I would think would happen when you leave a reputable tire shop like LES SCHWAB. They even removed the sharp metal sticking up and I didn't even have to ask them. Lesson learned! The rude little redheaded shit working the front counter and the long haired Hispanic dude in the shop doing all the shotty work should be looking for new jobs. Decided to give Pep Boys a try to fix the alignment in my daughter's car since they are conveniently close by. It was a bad decision. I actually never got service. I scheduled an appointment for 4:00 a few days ahead. Showed up to the appointment, didn't look busy at all. Maybe 2 cars in the bay. The young guy at the counter told me that there was only one guy currently working in the shop and the other technician was on an hour lunch so it would be an hour or so until my car could be completed. I asked if I make an appointment for a certain time tomorrow will I get service at that time? He didn't seem too certain but said he thought that could happen. Irritated and confused to how this company runs I just agreed to wait. As I'm walking out of the shop the guy says oh just to let you know. Another guy came in right before you with a 4:00 appointment too and I'll have to service him first so it'll be more like 3 hours. What!?!? What happened to an hour? That was the last for me. I went to the shop with a nail on my tire . I thought was a simple fix. I was told that they can not fix it because their policy . Damage should be less than 1/4" in diameter. Punctures should not be on the tire's shoulder or in the sidewall. Be aware of this if you have a punctured tire. I went to another shop les schwabs, it was a quick fix and free. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I took my Prius in to have the battery replaced and it was a disaster. The prius 12v is not completely trivial but something any professional should know how to do. First off, when I got there they did not know how to jump start the car. I had to show them how. Again, jumping a prius is not super traditional but still something a pro should know how to do. I literally had to wait hours to have them replace the battery and they were not even busy. They were just horribly understaffed. All the other customers there were very unhappy as well and all had their own horror stories. Finally my battery was replaced. The car worked fine at first but then numerous electronic issues started happening. I brought the car back and they swapped out the battery. Again another horrible experience. the electronic problems persisted so I took it to an auto shop and they quickly discovered that the battery was improperly installed due to "negligence or laziness." The ground wire was not fully attached and the battery was not even bolted in place. I have been to Pep Boys for multiple oil changes and shopping for my car, but recently, I was a little taken aback. I understand that Covid has made it a lot harder to staff fully, make sure new protocols are in place, etc. but I guess my friendly suggestion is to please maybe install a voicemail for calls. The constant ring back proved highly poor this week, as I was on hold/ringback for nearly 16 minutes. Was the store closed every hour I called just trying to do a simple task? All I was trying to do was cancel my oil change, and I FINALLY got through to someone and it was never cancelled as I got the consistent reminders. So, pretty much a waste of calls. I honestly do understand the new "norm" of things and I'm not trying to be what they call a "Karen", but maybe a voicemail would be a good idea, as me specifically, didn't need a call back. :) read more

i ordered tires in the website they confirmed that the had the tires and so I made an appt and was there for the service 45 minutes later. I. Waited an hour and a half during which time the car was put on the rack and my tires removed. About 40 minutes after the car just sat on the rack they came out and said the wrong tires were delivered. They said they could reorder the tires and that I could come back another day. I asked if they had a similar tire in another brand. They had a set that cost $200 more. I asked if they would discount those since it was their error And they said the manager wasn't there but that I could come the next day and talk to him. I had now been there for 3 hours so I said no to coming back another day . I pointed out what poor service this was- their website indicating that the tires were in stock, their confirming this online, their being dishonest about a "wrong delivery" (there was no way that they'd ordered and delivered the tires in the 40minutes that it took me to get there) which didn't deny. And that they hadn't checked for the tires even though they had confirmed having them until my car sat on the rack for an hour and a half. They said nothing. Not even an apology. So i left. Before I left I heard 2 other customers complain about their service also. Think twice before giving them your business! read more
