What's not to love about this place. The biggest breakfast burrito with ham, loaded with cubes of ham, lots of eggs, just the right amount of potatoes, cheese and beans with pico!! The service is also great! Just amazing!

Pepe's Mexican Food really came through. The burritos are huge -- no joke, one can easily feed two people unless you're starving. Tried the carne asada, chorizo, and machaca and all three were solid. Real classic flavor, nothing fancy, just good food that hits every time. Definitely recommend it first thing in the morning too. Somehow tastes even better when you need a legit breakfast. Also gotta mention the green salsa... it has that perfect slow burn. Not crazy spicy at first, but it sneaks up on you in the best way. If you leave hungry, that's probably your own fault. For sure a recommend if ur in the Fullerton/Placentia hood!

The legendary bacon breakfast burrito with green chili pork sauce. 10/10

When I lived in OC this was a regular stop for breakfast burritos. Their bacon breakfast burrito with green chili pork sauce is second to none in my book. A generous amount of bacon and eggs, even the potatoes are full of flavor. The element that takes this burrito into the stratosphere is the green chili pork sauce. It's like a chili verde infusion. So delicious. Every time I come back to SoCal for a visit I make a point of grabbing a Pepe's breakfast burrito. The price has gone up over the years but it's big enough for two meals. One surprise on my recent visit is what they have done with the restaurant. To be honest for years it's been a dump. Not a nice place to take your grandma for a meal but great food nonetheless. Recently they have given this place a remodel. New furniture very modern styling, super clean. Abuela would be delighted to enjoy a meal here. Service is fast and friendly. Great spot!

This is my brother-in-law's go-to Mexican restaurant. It has a drive-through window and a sit-down order counter. Tasked with picking up food for four, I ordered two taco salads (chicken and shredded beef) and two burritos (pork and breakfast). The portions are huge, especially the burritos. My breakfast burrito was among the biggest I've had, rivaling Nate's Corner in Santa Ana. (Not quite as big, but definitely more densely packed.) The young lady at the counter was fast and friendly. I waited maybe ten minutes maximum for all that food. There is ample seating outside and inside, with plenty of room for large groups.

Honestly love Pepe's and that's why this is SO disappointing. The food, quantity, and service is typically incredible but finding hair in your food is obviously not something anyone wants... Didn't even get to have a bite before noticing the black hair coming from the guac on the taquitos.

First time trying the Mexicali burrito. Great price, generous portion, and delicious flavor. Friendly service and a calm atmosphere. I'll definitely be back!

Vegetarians beware! They put green sauce with pork on the rice and on most of the combination plates. The green sauce has pork. They put that sauce on the cheese enchiladas too. So, make sure that you order what you want, with no pork sauce. I ordered the cheese enchiladas combo with no pork sauce. It came out good. Decent cheese enchiladas too. I really like their guacamole. I also ordered a vegetarian burrito. That was alright. It was pretty big. A very good size. My husband loves Pepe's. I think it's an okay place. The pork sauce on everything isn't great. I'm not a huge fan of the rice and beans either. Service was quick. We did the drive-thru. Ambiance was not busy. There wasn't anyone in the drive-thru, so it was fast.

This place never changes and i will continue to come here even 20 years down the line more than likely. The service is quick, the food is fresh, the toppings are loaded past the brim within their shredded beef hard shell tacos (my favorite menu item). There will be so much beef, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes, that they will spill out with every bite. This place is not skimpy with portion size. The food is great and the employees are friendly. Great work Pepe's!!! I'm not sure if this one is associated with the one in Baldwin Park... but, this location is hands down the best!!! Thank You for your service!!! A+++

For an unassuming, fast food looking joint the ambiance is actually quite nice. It's clean and warm feeling inside with nice shaded patio seating facing east outside. The cashier taking our order was extremely courteous. When we let him know it was our first time, he asked about our appetite and gave us extensive information about the menu options. Everyone in our party loved the food and the portions are very large.

Ordered a breakfast burrito that was probably the biggest breakfast burrito around the area. Had eggs, potatoes, bacon, beans, cheese, and pico de gallo. Came out to a little less than $14.

Does this location have indoor seating? I've been to one and it was outdoor seating only, in a sketchy neighborhood.

Yes, there has always been indoor seating at the Fullerton and Brea locations. The Brea location has more indoor sitting.

I have to say that we had a wonderful time eating some scrumptious food! Everything was prepared to our satisfaction and tasted absolutely delicious! She was totally satisfied as well! I had the combination Flajitas Flat Iron with tender chicken breast meat, juicy sautéed shrimp, and moth watering steak. My meal was Bomb!! Both the Flajitas and the Birria Al Vapor came with rice and beans as well and were quite filling! Lagos gets an A+ for the food for sure!! We were fortunate enough to have Rene Gonzalez as our waiter and he took excellent care of us. He was pleasant, friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. He took his job seriously and seemed to enjoy every minute of what he was doing. He kept our drinks refilled and ensured that we had everything that we needed and wanted to enjoy our meal at this establishment! Shout out to you Rene, as well as all of the other waiters and waitresses who worked and also stopped by our table during our meal to see if we needed anything . It was awesome to see everyone working together and getting along so well! I can see how this place can be so popular because of staff like these guys!! Thanks to you all for handling such a busy day with professionalism, grace and warm smiles while doing so! This is truly commendable! We will definitely be back! It's not a big restaurant but they spaced it out great and have a great bar, western, Hispanic vibe to the whole place. I loved the artwork and photos with frames. The service was great, between the bartenders, check in and our host we were always tended to and asked how we are enjoying our experience. Now.. when I heard taco buffet... I'll admit I was skeptical. So when my buddie suggested this for our foodie group I figured give it a shot. I'll start by saying ... I'd go every Tuesday lol it was a simple buffet they had every meat you needed, the carne asada was good, the chicken was good, the barbacoa was friggin delicious my favorite was the Al pastor. And the mushrooms ... usually at buffets have dry or oily food and this was pretty damn good to be honest. I think it's a solid business plan to do taco Tuesday like this. On top of all that the mini churros were good, the salsas were delicious. The chips were alright I think that's the only thing that was ok for me but overall I enjoyed myself very much. ALSO!!! And to top it all off, you can end your meal with crispy, sweet churros! This spot is definitely worth checking out, especially on Tuesdays. Come out and have some fun!

You're better off parking along the streets and walking here. It's a casual dining so you order and then sit wherever you want. There's indoor and outdoor seating. During rush hour, it's pretty hectic. The salsa and toppings bar is located right next to the ordering line, so people were constantly squeezing past each other to get through. It wasn't very convenient, and with the restaurant already being on the smaller side, it could easily feel cramped and overwhelming for anyone who doesn't like tight spaces. However, I do like that there is an open salsa and toppings bar. They even have pickled onions, radish, and carrots. The salsas were very good as well, not overly spicy. I tried the carne asada, pastor, and chicken tacos. All of which were really good and well marinated. Meats were tender and not dry at all. They definitely need a warning for credit surcharges and hopefully it won't be a rush hour next time I go.
