Years ago, I made some mistakes in society, and I had to pay a price. I spent 6 months at a prison in chino. It wasn't too bad. Fridays were our best dinners, burritos. Made by the prison cooks. Finally got around to trying this place and it was for late night eats. Came back home from a concert and was craving nachos and Taqueria de Anda was the closest spot that had them. I ordered carne asada nachos and added guacamole. The nachos were packed with meat. I barely saw any shredded cheese on it and couldn't really taste it either. I wish they covered the top in cheese but I didn't see any. They gave me one red and one green salsa and 2 lemon slices. Overall, for late night eats it's good, but if Navarro's was open, I'd probably go there for a little bit better nachos. Service was fast and friendly. It's not just good it's authentic which alot of restaurants say but this really is. The service is always the same. You can count on a warm welcome and a smile. One one occasion- I also was surprised a worker made me stand there for a good while - ignoring me and wouldn't even verbally acknowledge me and I was the only one there there was no one in line in the early evening. We've introduced this spot to many friends and they have since opened a handful of new locations. We have been to other locations, but this location is a favorite. This visit, I had the pleasure of sharing this location with my nephew who started at CSU Fullerton this semester. After all these years, everything but the decor for dine in is all still the same. When I arrived, there were people still ordering at the cashier instead of using the separate order station, and the cashier was just standing around getting things ready instead of helping with pickup orders. I asked another staff member (who wasn't busy at all) if my order was ready, and she casually said, "Yes, he'll give it to you." After waiting another 10 minutes, I asked her again if she could just hand me my order, and she responded, "I have gloves." Seriously? You can't just put on a fresh pair? When I asked the guy at the counter, he told me I had to wait because he was with another customer -- as if I wasn't a customer too. The whole point of ordering ahead is to avoid waiting. If they're not going to prioritize online orders, then they shouldn't offer it at all, or at least have a designated pickup area. I've eaten here maybe two or three times over the years. However, I'm sorry but coming from a restaurant construction background, I can only urge the owner to do something about the men's bathroom. I did what I always do, went to the restroom to wash my hands. I literally wanted to throw up, the stench was so bad. I had a really hard time eating my food after visiting the restroom. (My friend who was with me agreed wholeheartedly with me on this) which might had been the reason why I could not enjoy the food afterwords. I had just come from a hockey game and I went to this place at night with my parents and my older brother. The two lady's working were rude and really impatient with me even though I had just started to order. I asked for nachos with meat and the lady had impatiently and rudely asked me what kind of meat I wanted. She rushed me even though we were the only ones ordering. She did the exact same with my family members and the cashier lady was no better. When she was speaking to my dad about drinks, and my dad looked at us to see if we wanted anything to drink, she impatiently asked again and he told her to hold on as our food wasn't finished yet and he needed to discuss that with us and we all wanted drinks. She kept on interrupting him asking if we wanted drinks. She was not friendly and neither was the woman preparing the food. They were only friendly to those before us because they spoke Spanish. I found out from other people that they are nice and friendly to those who speak spanish but very rude and impatient to those who look like they are Hispanic and don't speak spanish. This is discriminatory behavior and very unprofessional. Also the food was incredibly expensive as the nachos were 14 dollars, my parents ordered burritos and it was 10 bucks each, AND they don't ask if you want cheese or not on the order. They just put it on and charge you $1.25. I will not be coming back and I don't recommend others to go. The food isn't that great for the price and to be treated terribly while they happily take your money. I am very disappointed by this place because I heard great things about it from others. Also, they do not have separate spoons for the different meats, they use the same spoon when scooping the meat of your choice so if you want pork, they will use the same spoon they used to scoop the asada and the other meats they offered to scoop the pork for you.
