I ordered their "special" on post mates buy one 12" and get one for free. For future reference they deliver and have better prices and coupons so call them direct. When I received the pizza I was happy to see that it was a nice thin crust. They cooked it crispy as I like and the fold was great. The crust tasted really good and overall the pizza taste was a fantastic balance of sauce and toppings. I did ask for extra cheese on the cheese pizza. I would say they did an okay job putting extra cheese but when I say extra cheese I mean over powering. The pizzas was still warm by the time it got to us and the toppings had settled in perfectly. This dough and crust were good and I usually like to see my toppings level higher than my crust. They were almost there. When the pizza arrived I was pleased to see their specials on the box as a flyer and I will gladly order directly from them rather than Postmates. A buddy got a couple of Pepe's big pies to-go. By the time I got to his place the pizza was cold, but it didn't matter because it tasted so darn good! Eventually I came in for a couple of slices and darn, if this pizza doesn't taste better when it's hot. The crust is not too thick, the sauce is loaded with flavor and the slices are not swimming in grease. I could eat a whole pie by myself. The shop is clean and comfortable and the service is friendly. They let me add Garlic powder, and Red Crushed Peppers before I left. Really good pizza at Pepe's. Yummmm! New favorite pizza place. I was getting food across the street at another restaurant when I was people going in and out of Pepe's. I am always looking for a good pizza place so I bookmarked Pepe's as my next pizza place next time I am craving pizza and a quick bite. Whenever I go to a pizza place, I always start with pepperoni pizza. It's a classic and it kind of helps me determine how good the pizza is. So, I decided on an XL pepperoni pizza and some meatballs (I love dipping my crust in marinara). I called to order and was quoted about 20 minutes. Once I got there, there were a few spots outside and there is a lot next to store. My pizza was ready by the time I got there. Since I tried this during quarantine times, they have a plastic guard and as an extra touch, they provide you with new pens so they do not share pens. (As a note, it is not completely contact less, because they do take your credit card from you to scan. But, it did not bother me as much). The pick up experience was painless and quick. Once I got back, I devoured the pizza. It was delicious. It had a thin crust, didn't taste super greasy, and the amount of ingredients was amazing. The one thing that I didn't like was the meatballs and the sauce. The meatballs tasted like it was thawed out from the freezer and the marinara was watery. I would skip the meatballs next time. But, the pizza was definitely amazing and I would come back here again. If you are ordering food from here, there are a few coupons that you can use and that they honor. I was able to use the 20 percent off, just mention it when you pick up. read more

Great Pizza and Service, what could make it better? A crispier crust, that's what. We ordered a margarita pizza for pick up and by the time we got it home, the crust was not as crispy as I would have liked... but not to worry. We discovered a simple fix for that. We placed the pizza slice into a frying pan on a sheet of aluminum foil and turned up the heat. A few minutes later the pizza was pipping hot with a crispy crust. We also enjoyed a Caesar's salad - really hard to go wrong with that. Dressing was on point. read more

In my search for the best NY style pizza & Sicilian pizza, I came across this place. The place is situated in the prime location of studio city LA. Metered Street Parking is available, which was difficult on a weekend to get. There is a private parking structure right besides their shop, we parked their & were done in 5 minutes as we had placed our order for pick up. Their were 2 guys working and no customer present. Its a cute little shop. They do have coupons on their site, so do use them. I used their coupon of with any 20" pizza get a 12" pizza with a topping free. We ordered their:- Sicilian pizza $23 - The pizza looked tempting & had a good thickness to it. Not buttery though like the "Brooklyn pizza wagon", the sauce was too strong, had to scrape it down. The cheese was weird while eating. It did not give that cheesy stretch, and had a hard bite to it. Cheese pizza with onions- It was thin unlike a NY style but was crisp, the cheese was overly browned. Overall a decent pizza place. Will try other places out. read more

Pepe's NY Pizza. $40 for a large double pepperoni with a small chopped salad delivered in 25 minutes. I thought I hadn't had this for years, but it turns out I did just last fall. Now I know why I had forgotten about it. Crust is good and holds a fold. Typical water crust, no real flavor with a good chew. The sauce is bland, it literally tastes like salt and peppered tomato sauce. Not bitter or sweet. Kinda right down the middle. Sadly the amount was more than enough to wet the dough, and create a slide for the cheese and toppings. See below. The cheese firmed up pretty quickly, and you can see in the pics it was delivered hot. By the time I sat down it had firmed up enough to rip all the toppings off on the first bite. I literally had a sheet of cheese and pepperoni hanging from my mouth on the first bite! This screams of frozen and thawed cheese with too much sauce. Though there wasn't enough sauce to make it soggy. Once again, the double pepperoni conundrum. Look at the pics and let me know if you think it was adequately pepp'd. Overall a meh pie that would probably taste great drunk! I'd say as good as pizza man, but there are much, much better pizzas for less. read more

I love this local pizza joint so much that it has become my favorite pay day meal! I typically order delivery and the pizza and sides always get to my door hot and melty. The service I've received by ordering from this shop via the slice app has been nothing short of impeccable.My favorite pizza is the Eggplant,Basil, and Tomato pie. Its essentially an eggplant parmigiana on a pizza and the flavors meld together perfectly; and is a welcomed switch up if you favor a classic margarita pizza.Being that this is a take on NY pizza the crust is thin,crispy and has a solid fold and is sure to satisfy your craving for an east coast pie. I'm also a huge of the mozzarella sticks, so much so that I'd stop by just to order them by themselves. I hope to have an in store experience in the near future and try out the pepperoni and mozzarella stick pizza I've seen in other reviews and provide an updated review on the ambiance of this establishment. But for now, this is most definitely my favorite pizza place in the valley and I love telling my pizza loving friends to check it out if they're in the area. The crust was actually a bit soggy. Maybe it was just my luck since most reviews rave about these pies. Slices are large and an XL pizza came with about 8 slices.. which is a bit odd to share if there's more than 6 people or so. We really enjoyed our first time at Pepe's. We ordered two large pizzas and they arrived via Postmates in great condition, nice and warm, and DELICIOUS! We added mozzarella sticks after reading a few reviews recommending them, which were also very good. Pizza - it's delicious the night you order it. It reheats terribly and has a very odd taste. Both of our pizzas were very different and both couldn't be reheated. One of my favorite things about ordering pizza is having it leftover the next day. Unfortunately, this simply isn't an option with Pepe's. Mozzarella Sticks - YES, YES, YES. All the yes. Order these and maybe order 2. These reheat well, by the way.
