    BBQ Chicken Pizza
    Leigh M.

I ordered the BBQ chicken pizza and it was so good. I love thin crust pizza and there was so much flavor. Very good quality pizza which I will definitely have again. The parking is a little tricky since the sushi place next door has valet parking and there was no street parking available. Inside the restaurant, it feels like a NY pizzeria with a few tables. The counter staff were nice and helpful.

I ordered their "special" on post mates buy one 12" and get one for free. For future reference they deliver and have better prices and coupons so call them direct. When I received the pizza I was happy to see that it was a nice thin crust. They cooked it crispy as I like and the fold was great. The crust tasted really good and overall the pizza taste was a fantastic balance of sauce and toppings. I did ask for extra cheese on the cheese pizza. I would say they did an okay job putting extra cheese but when I say extra cheese I mean over powering. The pizzas was still warm by the time it got to us and the toppings had settled in perfectly. This dough and crust were good and I usually like to see my toppings level higher than my crust. They were almost there. When the pizza arrived I was pleased to see their specials on the box as a flyer and I will gladly order directly from them rather than Postmates. Check out my pizza photos, so you can see it looked great.

Food is good. Great pizza. Great pasta too. Friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend it.

A buddy got a couple of Pepe's big pies to-go. By the time I got to his place the pizza was cold, but it didn't matter because it tasted so darn good! Eventually I came in for a couple of slices and darn, if this pizza doesn't taste better when it's hot. The crust is not too thick, the sauce is loaded with flavor and the slices are not swimming in grease. I could eat a whole pie by myself. The shop is clean and comfortable and the service is friendly. They let me add Garlic powder, and Red Crushed Peppers before I left. Really good pizza at Pepe's. I'm heading over there right now for a slice!

Good service and good pizza. It's a pretty clean restaurant. They also have outdoor sitting street parking available

Most of these places are fairly similar. I thought the pizza was good and at a good value. Nice people, nice place inside. Ordered to go. Was satisfied and would definitely come back. Fast enough for lunch if you order online

So today I finally made it over to Pepe's. Been wanting to check this place out for a long time. Being a New Yorker I was once again excited to find a good NY pizza spot in LA. But as soon as saw these uninspiring slices in the display case I knew this was going to be a tragedy. It's like this pizza was created by a 3D PRINTER. And it tastes like it. Please don't think this represents NY pizza. There are fine places here in LA that do it right this isn't one of them.

super delicious! employee are super kind. I was looking for something good in the neighborhood and it was the perfect thing!

20" Sicilian Deep Dish Pizza- thickness

In my search for the best NY style pizza & Sicilian pizza, I came across this place. The place is situated in the prime location of studio city LA. Metered Street Parking is available, which was difficult on a weekend to get. There is a private parking structure right besides their shop, we parked their & were done in 5 minutes as we had placed our order for pick up. Their were 2 guys working and no customer present. Its a cute little shop. They do have coupons on their site, so do use them. I used their coupon of with any 20" pizza get a 12" pizza with a topping free. We ordered their:- Sicilian pizza $23 - The pizza looked tempting & had a good thickness to it. Not buttery though like the "Brooklyn pizza wagon", the sauce was too strong, had to scrape it down. The cheese was weird while eating. It did not give that cheesy stretch, and had a hard bite to it. Cheese pizza with onions- It was thin unlike a NY style but was crisp, the cheese was overly browned. Overall a decent pizza place. Will try other places out.

Pepe's NY Pizza. $40 for a large double pepperoni with a small chopped salad delivered in 25 minutes. I thought I hadn't had this for years, but it turns out I did just last fall. Now I know why I had forgotten about it. Crust is good and holds a fold. Typical water crust, no real flavor with a good chew. The sauce is bland, it literally tastes like salt and peppered tomato sauce. Not bitter or sweet. Kinda right down the middle. Sadly the amount was more than enough to wet the dough, and create a slide for the cheese and toppings. See below. The cheese firmed up pretty quickly, and you can see in the pics it was delivered hot. By the time I sat down it had firmed up enough to rip all the toppings off on the first bite. I literally had a sheet of cheese and pepperoni hanging from my mouth on the first bite! This screams of frozen and thawed cheese with too much sauce. Though there wasn't enough sauce to make it soggy. Once again, the double pepperoni conundrum. Look at the pics and let me know if you think it was adequately pepp'd. Overall a meh pie that would probably taste great drunk! I'd say as good as pizza man, but there are much, much better pizzas for less.

Food was great! Service was even better! It's a hole-in-the-wall pizza joint, but the pasta is worth a stop too. Huge portions. Good value.

And of course I felt bad for having to call over and over again, but Liana made me feel like it wasn't a problem at all. She was kind and felt genuine. To me that was already a good sign. I came in and my food was HOT AND READY. Liana was such a joy to speak too. She was kind and generous and it's rare to come up on that. This was the type of connection I wanted to get from a food that was my favorite. THEY HAVE THE BEST DEALS ON BONE IN CHICKEN I SWEAR. I can't find anywhere with a better deal than them! And when I finally tasted the food, WOW. They definitely are no wingstop, and dare I say it surpasses it completely! Wings are big in size and cooked perfectly with crispy skin and juicy meat. And not to mention the flavors! I got the classic favorites: Garlic Parmesan, Lemon Pepper and Orginal Hot. And wow, you can taste the differences in sauces they make compared to other places I've tasted. It's saucy and not dry. Each wing is covered in flavor. I also got their garlic fries which was packed with garlic herb flavor. Chic Wings did not disappoint and I'm ready to come back and try their other flavors!

I am still very angry and slowly my anger is subsiding. Walked in and got a very warm welcome from a guy named Joseph and wanted to know if I was eating in or getting food to go. I told him I am eating here and Xavior brought me a menu and I was seated instantly. This location does not have a patio so I sat inside. I ordered small 12 pieces bone-in Chicken Wings that came with celery sticks & carrots. It also came with ranch, BBQ and mild sauce. $17.95. Being so hungry and frustrated from the other location, I also got their Philly Style Steak Sandwich/the works that came with sautéed onions, green Bell Peppers, sautéed mushrooms & Provolone cheese ($13.95). Food tasted very delicious. Hot Wings were crispy, tiny pieces. Finger licking good tasty. Both Joseph & Xavior checked on me twice to make sure everything was ok. I also got a Mango/Nectar juice. It was a bit sweet for me; but, I watered it down with some ice. Asked for extra celery sticks & ranch dressing and within a second or 2, it was already on my table. The total came out to $41.25 and Joseph got the tip he deserved! Restaurant was very clean, including both bathrooms. Has a small parking space in the back but mainly street/metered parking. Overhead music playing todays hits, along with few TVs were around me. Enjoyed my food and this location very much!! Has 4 locations. Melrose, Glendale, Pasadena & Sherman Oaks. Only one sauce per order no matter the quantity of wings. An 8 piece includes one ranch or bleu cheese, but so does a 16 piece (when it should include two logically). Even if you buy a $10 order of onion rings, it doesn't come with any sauce, just ketchup that you have to specifically ask for which isn't even name brand ketchup. I understand some people are unrealistic and ask for an excessive amount of sauce that they never end up using and it goes to waste, but damn one sauce is pretty cheap. They could also include a bit more carrots/celery with an order of wings but its just a tiny pinch they throw in. Carrots and celery are dirt cheap anyway.

I arrived 90 minutes before match time, and the place was already more than half full. The hostess, a tall, gregarious brunette whose name I didn't learn, was friendly as could be, and showed me all the options remaining for a 2-top; and she completely left it up to me to decide. Once I picked a table, water was dropped off quickly, and our server, Alexandra, arrived for the first of many visits. She took great care of us, and always made sure we had whatever we needed. We didn't order any drinks of a fancy nature (a cosmo, a beer and a shot), but they came quickly, were properly prepared and quite generously poured. For food, we ordered what almost anyone would order in such a situation: pizza and wings. The 10" cheese pizza had a crisp crust with good-quality mozzarella that had plenty of flavor. The pizza here is far better than one normally gets in a sports bar, and shouldn't go unnoticed. Wings were also top notch: crispy on the outside, juicy as can be inside. I ordered the Parmesan-Garlic flavor, which was fairly drenched in fresh garlic and cheese, and was fantastic-tasting. It was a very nice change of pace from the usual Buffalo sauce, and fresher (read "better") than similar versions offered at other chicken wing places around the area. The crowd was great, the food was solid, the drinks were stiff, and the overall experience was about as much fun as you can have while your home team is being eliminated from the tournament 4-1. This original Rocco's remains the best of the locations, as far as I can tell, and it's comforting to have it in the neighborhood. As to Team USA: there's always 2030!

I'll go one by one as I really didn't skimp on any of it..... First off, the brisket was so tender I couldn't even get it on to my plate originally. I had to keep stabbing at it with a fork and it just kept falling into pieces it was magical. The flavor was amazing with the perfect combination of that smokey and fire grilled taste. Didn't even need to use any sauce, but don't sleep on their BBQ sauce it had the perfect flavor of not too acidic and not too sugary. It's hard to stop eating it. I had to follow it up with the brisket quesadillas because.... well because they were staring at me and I had to show them who was boss.... Again, insane flavor combo and pleasantly addicting. Next move I had to throw down on a couple of hot wings to make sure my taste buds were still jumping and ready for the upcoming situation. Just for reference purposes, nice little kick with a bit of smokey flavor. Could've eaten 20 in one sitting but was continuing on my path of BBQ destruction. We now veered over to the baby back ribs .... I think I ate 10 before I realized what was going on. Yet again, the flavor was perfect and the meat was cooked to perfection. It didn't need any sauce, but I was a big fan of loading up on the BBQ sauce for these bad boys..... Next I shifted my fat eyed focus over to the tri-tip. It had that perfect pink center looking like a medium rare meaty super model. I went a different route here and dipped it into this horseradish sauce concoction that I never seen or heard of in my life. I don't know what was in that sauce, but it was phenomenal. I could have literally eaten this stuff by itself, but everyone was looking so I didn't want to make it weird. The tri-tip itself didn't even need any sauce and was super juicy, but that sauce just elevated the taste to another level. Now we decided to go a different location on the farm pay tribute to some smoked chicken. I had to dabble with both the BBQ sauce and the horseradish sauce as my dipping/smothering choices for this tasty bird. Couldn't even tell you how great it was without the sauce, since my mind was already fading trying to fight off my meat sweat coma. Lastly for our protein portion of the evening, I had to top it off with some of that pulled pork. Now this was extremely flavorful and some of the best I've had in quite some time. I did however enjoy lathering it up with that BBQ sauce like some of his fellow plate mates I already devoured. I will give a shout out to the sides, even though I only had a brief taste of each as I was going hard on the proteins. High fives to the potato salad, coleslaw, Mac and cheese, street corn, corn bread, tator tots and collard greens. I may have possibly missed one or 2, but after gorging on disgusting amounts of food, you tend to forget things. Had to make sure to sneak some of those greens in there so my heart didn't give out.... I however did not indulge in the chips and salsa that were there since I didn't want to come off as a pig..... So instead (as I forgot to mention previously), I took the queso and poured it over some pulled pork because that's what needed to happen at that moment.... Boom! For the grand finale, we had this banana pudding dessert that literally put me over the top. If I could openly cuss on this platform, I genuinely would.... It was absolutely orgasmic. That's right, you read that correctly. I don't know what they put in that thing, but to call it amazing would be an understatement. Pretty sure I blacked out at some point while finishing my bowl of dessert. As you can read, I was not a fan of any of the food in any way shape or form.(Sarcasm ...) I look forward to going back, but I will need to wait until I awake from this painful food coma I've been fighting off since the ending of the World Cup match watching USA beat the breaks off of Bosnia with one man down. Much love on the food and I happily dedicate this extra fat fold on my stomach and the 8lb weight gain to AJ's BBQ.

Even during the lunchtime rush, there was a steady stream of customers coming in and orders going out, but the staff never seemed overwhelmed. It was easy to tell they have a loyal group of regulars. The young woman working alongside Marion was just as friendly, cheerful, and gracious, whether she was helping customers at the counter or taking phone orders. It's becoming harder and harder to find this level of genuine hospitality, especially at family-owned restaurants. They made everyone who walked through the door feel welcome, and that kind of customer service is something I truly appreciate. I'll definitely be visiting the Sherman Oaks location closer to home, but this Melrose location made a fantastic first impression. Great food, outstanding service, and genuinely kind people. I'll absolutely be back.

I'm really disappointed because my experience here a couple months ago was good. We dined in and…read morethe wings were fresh, flavorful, and it made me want to go back. Yesterday I was nearby so I decided to treat myself. I ordered an 8-piece combo with 4 Mango Habanero wings, 4 plain wings and fries. I paid extra for vegetables and ordered a fountain drink. Unfortunately, this visit was completely different. The food came out lukewarm, almost cold. The fries were soggy, the wings were very small, dry, and overcooked the little amount of meat next to the bone was black. The Mango Habanero barely had enough sauce to even notice the flavor. What made it more disappointing was the price. I paid almost $27 for food that tasted like it had been sitting out and reheated instead of being cooked fresh to order. Meanwhile, I'd highly recommend New York Chopped Cheese & Lets Wing It in Mid City on Venice and Redondo instead. Their wings are bigger, more flavorful and the fries are actually seasoned. During lunch hours you can get wings, fries, vegetables, and a drink for $13 including tax. I really wanted Hot Wings Cafe to be consistent maybe I needed to dine in cause they have to be on their toes when you are in their face. The waitress we had went dining in was outstanding and the food was actually good then but after this experience, I will never order to go.

We need more places like this. This was my second time at k-pub and I brought my girlfriend to make…read moresure I wasn't over-hyping it. Amazing prices and GREAT food. By this point I've had over half of their yakitori options (pork belly is peak), and tonight we also had the seaweed radish salad, corn cheese, homemade kimchi, and for entrees-Jjapaghetti, and Sausage Spicy Buldak. My girlfriend can be picky but LOVED everything especially the Jjapaghetti. I had the buldak and while suuuuuper spicy tasted awesome and I ate it gladly through the pain. The two servers were awesome and I wish I caught their names because they deserve a shoutout. Super attentive and made sure I knew just how spicy the buldak was, while also letting us know about their soju/beer specials. Empty plates were rarely on our table for over a minute. I can't stress this enough- I wish more places were like this.

The lighting was low so mad it feel very quaint. For starters we ordered crispy rice w/ spicy tuna. It was so perfect!! So delicious. An order of shrimp tempura. Fried to perfection. We also ordered garlic chicken noodles and minced pork rice bowl. Both were very delicious. Two orders of chicken wings. One with sweet & spicy other with soy garlic. I absolutely loved the wings. They were light and crispy. The sauces were so amazingly delicious. Can't wait to visit again and try new items on the menu.
