Amazing service from Casey! Give that man a raise!! Super kind, patient and talkative. The food was amazing even though the portions were small we got pretty full and had some downtime in between the plates coming out. The atmosphere is nice, dimply lit romantic feel. Definitely coming back! Thank you Casey we loved you!!

I've had Bacari bookmarked for a while (several locations, actually) and finally got the chance to check it out for Sunday brunch. Food and service were both great. Luke, our waiter, was attentive and made sure we had a really nice dining experience. I'm definitely a sweet-and-savory brunch girl, so I ordered the chef's French toast with a side of bacon and eggs. The French toast could honestly pass for dessert. It was delicious, topped with macerated berries, bananas, and whipped vanilla custard. The space has both patio and indoor seating. Valet parking is available: $12 for brunch and $15 for dinner.

Came here for brunch with a friend and sat outside. If I was to say this isn't one of the best brunch spots in town I would be lying. My friend and I sat outside and had the best experience with amazing tapas and a wonderful latte.

What an amazing first visit to Bacari! The drinks, food, and service were exceptional-I was truly impressed. In particular the service by Casey was attentive and upbeat. Thank you for a great evening.

Parking is 15 at dinner 12 at lunch or street parking which in this area is not fun. Always hard to find. The resturant was packed so call ahead for a reservation They take food allergies seriously and not only clearly mark the menu but have a special menu They even have a good gluten free bread and know about cross contamination Food was excellent we ordered several small plates to share we enjoyed Lamb Hummus fish may vegetables and falafel even with a group of 8 it was hard to limit the menu so many good choices We spent about fifty a person including tax and tip and some wine This not your corner Mediterranean restaurant. They have tables for two and long tables for groups You can eat inside or on the patio Service was good

Casey was amazing as a server. All The best recommendations. The grilled chicken was fantastic! The fries were incredible. Super cute ambiance and eating outside is highly recommended.

What a vibe! An impromptu trip to LA found me here with my cousins and their friends enjoying a delicious dinner in a beautiful atmosphere. I followed the group's lead as they ordered family style, and every dish was amazing. My favorite dishes were the Asian Pear and Brie Pizza and the Lamb Hummus. I didn't get a drink, but everyone at the table had great things to say about the drinks. I hope I have another opportunity to try more and enjoy some of my new favorites.

Bacarita - tequila, watermelon basil and lime. Yum highly recommend.

Food is incredible. Presentation and flavor. Service is also very friendly and considerate and knowledgeable about their place. Krystal was amazing. Ambiance is what makes this place special especially later in the day. It has that nice cozy feel.

Another year, another visit to Bacari for my birthday. Could this be a tradition?! It might be! We come here other times too, but I chose to celebrate with my family again this year. Keep reading as to why this might not be a definite yes anymore. Reservations can be made via OpenTable and when you arrive, let the front desk know you have reservations and they'll check you in and call you up once your table is ready. Once at the front desk, we were greeted by the wonderful staff who sat us at our table. Unfortunately, that's where the attentiveness stopped. Once my group sat down, we immediately wanted to start with the Salatim and the waitress just asked if we wanted still, sparkling or filtered water and didn't ask the table if they wanted any other drinks. I wanted to celebrate with some cocktails, but I guess not. As more and more people arrived and filled the tables around us, our waitress started helping them and kind of forgot about us. We had to flag her down to get see if she could take a drink order in and she said she would be right back and tended to the other table. When she came back, she took our cocktail order and food items we wanted. Food arrived pretty quickly and as usual, were delicious. As we were finishing, we had to ask for the check. She left the mini clipboard on the table with the receipt for us to pay and left. We put a credit card in and we waited and waited and waited. We had to flag another gentleman that was working there to see if he could run the card for us instead. We paid and left. Hoping it was an off day for the waitress as everyone else seemed to be on point - especially the person bringing the food to us. This kind of ruined the day and the great experiences I had before here and at other Bacari restaurants. I will need to rethink coming here for next year's birthday lunch/dinner and if my family will still make this restaurant part of our rotation. Really disappointed with the service we received. I asked my sister's family if I was crazy and they too said the service was not great and it was their first time there.

Tripoline Pasta & Mediterranean Street Corn
    Julie R.

Hands down one of my favorite Bacari locations! Staff is always so attentive and every dish is truly phenomenal. I always order an Asian Pear & Brie Pizza & Mediterranean style corn. Tonight I tried the Tripoline pasta which was green & rich in flavor, 10/10 I would definitely recommend these 3 dishes as well as their Love Letter (whiskey) & Express Yourself (vodka) cocktail. I found open seating for two at the bar & my bartender Jasper did an amazing job when I asked him to surprise me with a cocktail. He made me a Whiskey based Yuzu & lavender martini, next time you visit you should give it a try. Valet parking is offered ($12-15 can't remember) but there is also street parking which you pay $3-5 for at the nearest meter. Because of the rain and the traffic congestion today, I parked at the Ralph's parking structure across the street for about 2-3 hours & my car was still there lol. Just be wary but that is always an option.

We did our valentines weekend dinner tonight at Bacari Sherman oaks. Big dining crowd and a great vibe . Jose , Rachel and mgr Lester took expert care of us. Mac n cheese, Brussels sprouts in a balsamic sauce, stuffed mushrooms with a pinch of garlic and freshly baked baguette got us started . Deceptively small, rich plates . Flat iron steak was tender and perfectly cooked. Scallops in a carrot puree were well done and firm as ordered. My sea bass in a puree with a Mediterranean corn is my fav with skin on. A bread pudding dessert with ice cream served hot finished off an outstanding meal. Valet or street parking with a walk after a fine meal.

We decided to come here because my friend is flying back to Manila tomorrow and we wanted to have a nice send-off dinner. Another friend of ours had been wanting to try Bacari for a while, and since I always see this place packed, I thought this would be the perfect time to finally check it out. We didn't have reservations and were told the wait would be about an hour. The hostess was really nice though. After maybe 30 or 40 minutes, she let us know someone had canceled and we could be seated sooner. That part I appreciated. The vibe is honestly great. Dim lighting, cozy atmosphere, cool artwork on the walls, and a lively crowd. It feels trendy and energetic. I get why people like coming here. It feels like a place to hang out and talk for hours. Our server was awesome. Super accommodating and patient, especially since it was our first time and we had no clue what to order. Now the food. We ordered pasta, sea bass, salmon, and pita with dips. The pasta came out first. We actually thought it was an appetizer at first because of how it looked. It was good, flavor-wise. But the portion was really small. One person could have finished it in under two minutes. There were three of us sharing. Then came the sea bass. Same story. Tiny plate, small portion. It tasted okay. Nothing bad about it, but nothing memorable either. The salmon was similar. Decent, but very regular. Definitely not something I would crave again. A few nights before, we had salmon and sea bass at Joey in Woodland Hills, and that meal was honestly a 10 out of 10. This one felt like a 6 out of 10, and that's me being generous. My two friends actually said it was more like a 5. One of them even said our housekeeper makes better salmon at home, and we all kind of agreed. We left not really full and not really impressed. So here's my honest take. If you're coming for the vibe, it's great. If you're curious because it's always packed and there's hype around it, try it once. But if you're going mainly for the food or expecting generous portions, you might be disappointed. For us, it was probably a one-time experience. Great atmosphere. Very regular food. Very small servings.

Does everyone in our group have to opt in to participate in the open bar? Or can only those in our group that are drinking opt-in?

For me, that was a bit of a disappointment. Ironically, I still found myself tipping the cashier. As for the food, there were some highlights. My wife's avocado toast was excellent--fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. My chilaquiles were tasty as well, but not without issues. The eggs were cooked over easy and were much runnier than I would have preferred, and the chicken portion was surprisingly sparse. Overall, the meal was good, but the experience felt a little less personal than it used to. The food still has its moments, but I have to admit, I liked the old Blu Jam better.

Of course, Studio City has a village full of good restaurant choices, but since I was already a fan of their other location on the Westside, The Six on Pico Blvd., I decided to give this one a try. So Saturday brunch it was! We arrived earlier to avoid crowds at 10:45, and we had the place all to ourselves until 11:15. Reservations were made via Yelp, but we obviously didn't need them. I was a bit surprised, but small groups eventually trickled in slowly. ** THE CHOW ** My brunch date ordered a California omelet, made with brie, red bell, caramelized onions, and topped with half an avocado. The breakfast potatoes on the side were very yummy and the omelet was tasty too. Did I mention I'm a glutton for brunch? Well, I decided to eat one like one. And the Knife & Fork Chicken + Waffles was just right for my appetite. It satisfied the fried chicken cravings I had racked up over an entire week. I liked that the chicken was boneless, skinless, buttermilk-battered, and crispy. The fancy "red devil gravy" is basically a watery Tapatio for dunking or (if you're like me) for drowning your chicken in heat. Don't worry, they've got Cholula as well. Also, I love the effort in naming this menu item. However, I was a bit disappointed to find out that the jalapeño rosemary syrup on the online menu was only regular maple syrup IRL. Overall, the waffles are quite dense so it adds a good balance of hot 'n' sweet. ** THE SERVICE ** Servers at The Six were attentive. Food was delivered quickly. There were frequent check-ins with various staff members at each of the tables. The wait staff worked well together, covering each other's duties -- that was nice to see. ** THE VIBE ** There are lots of Instagram-worthy backdrops and charming little signs strewn around the restaurant. The decor and vibe give a nod to the "Society of Six" artists from the 1920s Prohibition era, who lived together in a cabin in Northern California that they dubbed the "Chow House", where they inspired each other in creating art. The reclaimed wood planks and cast iron skillets are used as plates on several menu items as a subtle accent and cozy, cabin vibe. I imagine twinkle lights add to the effect during the evening time. Next time I want to shovel brunch into my pie hole like a bottomless mimosa glass, I'll come back for the Apple Pie French Toast. That's with a side of bacon (not the bacon inside the French toast as the menu writeup may suggest). I hear that the cinnamon apple pie filling is amazing. I guess I'll have to come back for seconds and pair it with a bottomless Mimosa for $25 (avail Saturdays & Sundays, 10am - 3pm).
