I love this place. Reservations highly recommended as it does get pretty packed. Parking can be a little tricky with street parking as it's pretty much metered along Ventura or if you're lucky enough with parking along the neighborhood. There's valet available but quite steep with 15.00. We had an early reservation for Saturday night which they were able to seat us early. Inside was somewhat busy with indoor seating but majority of the patio seating was empty. About half an hour to our arrival, it was packed. We got seated along the patio just off of Ventura. It's a nice garden vibe with the trees and lights. Perfect evening for a summer night dinner. Menu wise for both meal and drinks was great. I didn't even noticed that they offer a 90 minute open bar concept for wine and beer. Need to take advantage of that next time. I tend to stick to the classic drinks, the barcarita. An easy cocktail drink for a hot summer night. Also had the kind of a big dill and olena heat. All the drinks were quite tasty and well presented. Second round was quite nice too except we also tried the sangria. Not going to lie, it wasn't good. Stick to the cocktails. With food, they recommend 2 to 3 items per person which would be good for sharing as well. Everything is tapas style. They have the cold dish, hot dish, pizza and sweets. Literally everything on the menu looked and sounded amazing. All the times I've been the food has alway been consistent and amazing. We had some friends with us which it was their first time so they were quite excited to try everything. Started off with the baguette and garlic oil. Very simple dish and basically what it is. A few of the cold dish was ordered. The crudo which was quite nice with thin sliced barramundi fish and tossed in a nice lemon marinade. So good. The burrata which was a favorite. Simple dish with tomatoes, pesto, burrata and baguette. Salatim, it was like three type of hummus and served with pitas. Lastly the rainbow beets, that was another favorite dish for us. Oven roasted but so simple yet so good. A must have. Also plates are brought out based on when they're ready. Random items will be bought out according to when it's ready. For the hot, the scallops medallion with summer corn was ordered. I believe it comes three to an order but you can add additional which we did. Honestly, that was our least favorite out of everything we had. It was good., but the other dishes outdid it. The mushroom pizza was a hit. Thin crust and loaded with smoked mushrooms and white cheddar, a must try. The sea bass, it was good but the piece was fairly thin compared to the last time we had it. Still good and cooked well. A simple dish but good as well was the Mediterranean street corn. The food is alway good even though there were some misses but we all enjoyed everything. There was little mixed up with table across from us with dessert which we were then offered it. Cant say no to a nice hot plate of bread pudding with ice cream. That was amazing and so delicious. Service was amazing with all the staff. You have your main waiter/waitress but throughout the meal, random server will drop off plates after plates. The staff are all so friendly and sweet. The place was packed when we finished and loads of people waiting for a table out front. The food is alway great, service is excellent which is why we love coming back.

Exquisite dishes! And top notch servers. I love coming here for special occasions or just when I need a foodie fix- I love how they take such simple preparations but elevate them at the same time. Not cheap but well worth it! Since it's small-plate sharing it's nice to come with more people so you can try more dishes

I have heard so many great things about Bacari, but the service was really poor during our visit. It was hard to get the attention of our server, and perhaps due to us coming in on the cusp of their shifts, we had 3 different people "taking care" of us. One of our dishes never came, another went to the wrong table, and we also got a dish to our table we didn't order. There were some interesting flavors and some tasty dishes, but too many logistical problems to enjoy fully.

Parking either valet or street parking! Service is amazing! Very friendly and super knowledgeable on the menu and drinks! Very comfy type of date night spot! Ambiance is very chill and everyone to themselves. Food! Ugh the only thing wrong with this place is you need more table room from all the delicious food!!! LA people you're sleeping on the street corn! Street corn is addicting. The skirt stake the grilled chicken with rossoto with a jalapeno sauce so good!!! I'm full my eyes are full! Amazing service thank you Mike and team for .. the 12/10 service

To start the food was AMAZING! We tried Moroccan cigars, Noa's cauliflower, Skirt steak, pork belly, stuffed mushrooms, scallops, and 2 of the Mac and cheese. The smoked mushroom pizza was ok.....I don't care for my greens to be roasted on the pizza like that but the flavor was good. Our group finished it off with their date cake....make sure to get it with ice cream! The service was good. They were very accommodating moving us from the parlor to the main restaurant but I really wished we could've taken our waitress with us. The next one was good but disappeared at times. This is a great place for a date, a small group or even to come alone and enjoy. I loved hearing the chatter of people talking! It makes my heart happy to know people aren't on their phones!

Came here for the first time for fathers day dinner. We had a 7:00p reservation and got seated almost on time. The entrance to the restaurant is really cozy, it feels like you're walking into someone's home. We had outdoor seating. We ordered the pear pizza, banana coffee, Moroccan cigars, lamb hummus, Mac&cheese. Pear Pizza: 5/5 Lots of complex flavouring. Sweet, salty, tomatoey, pizzaey. The textures were just right. I could eat two of these on my own. Banana Coffee: 4/5 Nothing special but it was definitely tasty! Doesn't help that I am a coffee perfectionist. Lamb Hummus: 5/5, I just wish there was more lamb but don't we all. The dish was really good though, and so was the pita it came with. We couldn't get enough. Moroccan Cigars: 4.5 / 5, they are essentially falafel egg rolls. On their own, it tastes like good falafel inside a crispy exterior. The sweet sour sauce takes it a bit further, excellent pairing. Ginger beer: 5/5 yum! Mac and Cheese: 3/5, was a bit disappointing. I liked the use of the shell pasta. The top of the Mac was great since it's baked crispy with crispy onion on top. The middle of the Mac is just cheese though, really underwhelming. After tasting that pizza, I was hoping more dishes would have such flavour complexity but, alas, no. Also, Mac and cheese should be dirty and this was certainly not dirty enough

We came for brunch on a Sunday, Such a beautiful place, cozy, welcoming and the service is amazing, We have the privilege to be served by Luke , he was adorable, and attentive, the menu is amazing , lots of great choices, we had Salatim (assorted humus), the vegan pizza , chilaquiles, shrimp ceviche, caprese sandwich, pancakes, Noa's Cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, lamb humus,

    Akisha E.

I've had Bacari bookmarked for a while (several locations, actually) and finally got the chance to check it out for Sunday brunch. Food and service were both great. Luke, our waiter, was attentive and made sure we had a really nice dining experience. I'm definitely a sweet-and-savory brunch girl, so I ordered the chef's French toast with a side of bacon and eggs. The French toast could honestly pass for dessert. It was delicious, topped with macerated berries, bananas, and whipped vanilla custard. The space has both patio and indoor seating. Valet parking is available: $12 for brunch and $15 for dinner.

Ginger mocktail, Mediterranean Street Corn, and Scallop Medallions

I barely ever write reviews, but Bacari was so good I had to! I went there to celebrate my birthday and received the best service I ever had; I would recommend coming earlier on in the evening to avoid the crowd. The staff were so sweet and thoughtful, and the space was gorgeous. I got a yummy mocktail on the house. Super excited to try more of the drinks in the future! I will say the crudo was a bit too lemony, but the scallops and street corn were pretty good. I think I would've preferred the scallops to be a little softer, but they had a nice sear. The street corn had a very unique flavor profile - if you don't like feta that much, I'd ask them to make it lighter or take it out entirely. I'd also recommend getting The Best Cake with ice cream for dessert. It's not too sweet, and I liked it despite not being a huge fan of dates. Overall, it's nice when you're looking for a bit of a pricier dinner but a memorable experience. Looking forward to being back and celebrating my birthday again next year!

After visiting for a third time, I decided it's time to let Yelpers know that Bacari stands out. Food: so delicious! From healthy to sinful, Bacari has something delicious for everyone (including vegetarians). They also take food allergies seriously; I appreciate that as an epi-pen carrier! The service is delightful: every staff member says hello when the hostess leads you to the table. This is rare these days, so this stands out. The servers I've had are professional, friendly, helpful and attentive at all times. Lastly, the ambience is incredibly cozy and intimate. I've always loved the space and they've done a great job with it. Bacari is a great place for celebrations, date night or just a night out. Thanks Bacari. I'll be back when I'm in town again.

Margherita Pizza was solid but not incredible

This place did not disappoint. Perfect California summer weather for outdoor dining. Sitting at a table with beautiful lighting. Very dim, but cozy and sensual. We had Sam and she was probably the best waitress I have had all year - or even longer. Fantastic recommendations and command of the menu while being attentive....but not overly friendly. Just a down to earth, good waiter. My favorite was the lamb hummus. Super sweet and rich flavor. It came with vegetables that perfectly complimented it and fresh made bread that was out of this world fluffy. I almost got another order right then and there! Little Gem salad was damn good. Perfect amount of dressing to off set the almost bitter (but amazing) greens. The best cake was a show stopper. Top tier desert. If you like dates, then you must get this. Get it with a side of vanilla ice cream. Margarita pizza was good but I feel this place has better elevated cuisine. If you are REALLY hungry, get the pizza as filler because it's BIG! The fried chicken sliders were juicy and sweet! I went for dinner, but could tell from this dish that they do not mess around with their brunch! Flaky soft roll, good fry on the chicken, and super sweet pastry/honey drizzle vibes throughout. Those went down QUICK! This is definitely a great date night spot. Strong recommendation. Cheers.

Parking is 15 at dinner 12 at lunch or street parking which in this area is not fun. Always hard to find. The resturant was packed so call ahead for a reservation They take food allergies seriously and not only clearly mark the menu but have a special menu They even have a good gluten free bread and know about cross contamination Food was excellent we ordered several small plates to share we enjoyed Lamb Hummus fish may vegetables and falafel even with a group of 8 it was hard to limit the menu so many good choices We spent about fifty a person including tax and tip and some wine This not your corner Mediterranean restaurant. They have tables for two and long tables for groups You can eat inside or on the patio Service was good

Hi there! Yes, the restaurant is fully accessible and designed to accommodate all guests. If you have any specific needs, feel free to reach out directly -- we're happy to help! info@bacari.us

I do the all u can drink wine which I think is $35

Does everyone in our group have to opt in to participate in the open bar? Or can only those in our group that are drinking opt-in?

    What's the corkage policy?

Hi there! We do allow outside wine, and the corkage fee is $25/bottle.

I wanted to know if this location in Sherman Oaks has entertainment and if so, is it guitar or jazz? Every night or just weekends?

Hi! We do have live music every Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights starting at 8/830pm. The music takes place in the indoor Parlour. Use the experience tab on OpenTable to ensure you get sat in the room with the entertainment, as the Outdoor Patios…

Is it better to sit indoors or outdoors for Saturday brunch/lunch in Summer?

They have umbrellas and lots of shade. If the temp is nice, they can keep the sun off of you and the outdoor seating is truly lovely!

Our server was helpful enough to not put chilli flakes on my friend's avocado toast. We ordered our food & drinks and got a number to take to our table. We ate outside and had a pleasant time. Great place to people watch.

I wish I had read my last review from 9 yrs ago before revisiting this place today…read more Let me tell you about the good things first... this won't take long. Kelley, our server, was a sweetheart. And the glass of wine was a nice pour and a decent wine. I like that they let you in for something to drink before officially opening for the day. Cue record scratch... now about that food. No, we did not order the wrong thing and no, IMO, they were not just having a bad day. Look at these Huevos Rancheros with "house hash, tostadas and 3 eggs"... those are chips (I think from a bag of tortilla chips) so not really a tostada, no way there were three eggs in that thing (from what I could see)... not sure what the "house hash" is but nothing I could identify on the plate. I know a lot of people might leave a restaurant and say "I could have made that at home" but there is no way I would make something this crappy at home. LOOK at this Avocado Toast with "avocado spread"... that is some thin smear of something green but when you are calling something "Avocado Toast" there should be a substantial amount of the hero ingredient (and maybe not call it "avocado spread" on your menu description. To me, that says, "Look we don't want to call this a "rustic mash of avocado" or "Hass smash" or "hand-crushed ripe avocado" because we know you are actually going to SEE it in front of you in about 15 minutes and "avocado spread" won't lead to a major disappointment." But it did. And this slab of dry plywood that they were calling toast. I turned to my wife and in my best Sebastian Manascalco said, "Why would you do that??" This place mostly failed on food. The food at the other tables looked equally pathetic. Gotta say... all of the cooked egg components of each dish were decent but the rest of the items were like WTF? Ambiance? It's OK... I mean it was a bar with a ton of TVs going. Semi-nice vibe for a sports bar... lots of room. Just can't get over the food. We ate about half of our sodium bombs and left. But parts of the eggs were lovely... as was Kelley.

My son and I have been to this lovely, charming, beautiful, clean restaurant once. It has so much…read morecharm and charisma with beautiful decor all around. A full bar and a nice sized patio. Two of my friends and I visited this restaurant on Sunday, the 9th of this month. Reservations are required, but we went in around 5:20pm and the restaurant was pretty empty. When we were leaving, the crowd started coming in around 7:15pm. They also serve brunch in the mornings (only on Sat/Sun). We got a very nice welcome from their hostess and she took us to our table. We ordered their French Onion Soup, Omelette-- that came with Black Pepper, Boursin Cheese, and Boston Lettuce. We also got their famous Big Mec Burger (Wagyu Double Cheeseburger, Bordelaise Sauce with fries. I love to have salad so much with my meal, that we also shared an Endive Salad that came with: Avocado, Anchovy, Walnuts and Sherry Vinaigrette. I told my server Karena & Rachel who replaced her when she went on break, not to put Anchovy on my salad. The dressing was well balanced. For dessert, we got Chocolate Soufflé and for cocktails, Adam, the bartender made delicious, not over powering cocktails for 2 of my friends. They were: Martinez Cocktail, and Hemingway To Your Heart. Even one of their managers Sierra checked in on us along with both of our servers. Shout out to the chef and their pastry chef. Food is super delicious, fresh and just yummy! Prices are not cheap, portions can be a little bigger. Only street and metered parking. Gender neutral restrooms were also very clean. It was a very memorable evening. They also have another location in Hollywood, if you are in that area. Thank you all very much for a lovely dining experience! Will definitely return, but not any time soon.

Came for my bday last week- Service was great!…read more No problems there at all . Food.... Ehhh. Definitely not the restaurant it used to be.. leeks were tough under seasoned and couldn't be cut with a knife..super stringy.. like we were having to pull them from our teeth . Pate was solid. Endive salad was just ok . My chicken dish was not good.. the Demi and wine were overly reduced and tasted burnt. The mixed greens and bread that were dumped on top were wilted and the big chunks of bread were really tough.. (like we couldn't chew them tough) and stale tasting... had to take it all off and put it on a side plate to be taken away. My husband's mussels were flavorless. My son had the burger which he always gets and it was still the same and good. The best part of meal was dessert ( banana cream pie & crème brulee) Been coming here for yrs . But not worth the drive or price point anymore.
