Haven't been there in a while and the super nachos have changed. Within the last three or four years, there must be new owners. Chips used to be incredible. Now they taste like something straight out of the bag. To make matters worse, they add enough salt to choke a horse. No authentico. And they covered my to go order with chopped tomatoes, which must've equalled a full cup or more. I cannot eat a lot of tomatoes, but regardless, it was smothered which makes everything too soggy if you are taking it home. The guy who took my order was quite rude. They used to only take cash. AlI wanted to know if that was still their policy and he wouldn't even let me ask the question. I also wanted to know if I was at the right window because before you had to order at one window and pick up at another. He made me feel like an idiot for asking. Local lady told me it was a legitimate question. Sorry to be so disappointed but they are certainly doing well without me. read more

After a couple of perfectly passable tacos down the street I thought I'd swing by to have something to compare them to. Pepe's thoroughly outclasses the competition. The service is friendly. The tacos were juicy, flavorful and complex and had me moaning with joy. It was my first time trying this taco truck and for starters the cashier was very rude and as soon as I ordered asada fries he immediately cut me off to tell me the fries would take at least 15-20 minutes which I said was fine (it was like they never get ordered) I tried to order some chicken tacos which were available on the menu when a lot of things were already crossed out to be told there were no chicken tacos lucky for me the person I was ordering the tacos for doesn't eat meat yay me I get to go down the street to the next taco spot which I do I get my tacos and come back in 10 minutes now it's been 40 minutes and everybody after me at least 10 customers not including the ones I didn't see when I left to the other restaurant have received their food yet here I am now an hour later and get this the asada fries I ordered which are pictured on the menu to have guacamole DO NOT in fact have guacamole they claim they "don't have that" such a disappointment what kind of Mexican taco truck is this ?? The tacos I ordered from the other restaurant are going to be cold by the time they get them I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone don't waste your time !! Boycott !!! read more

To start off this is solely off of customer service and not the food since I was unable to try it! We get there order everything is going fine, guy at the front was nice, place seemed busy, 10 minutes go by, that's fine, now 20 minutes have gone by, okay, people that ordered after me were getting their food, 45 minutes had gone by! At this point I was beyond composed, I talked to the guy and he said our order was coming up right now, 10 more minutes and the guy who ordered almost an hour after us got our food, I cancelled what we never tried and got my money back even after we were offered free jimaca, no I want my tacos, unfortunately I won't be back because they couldn't make some simple tacos for us, there excuse it was busy and we stabbed your ticket by accident, it's a food truck, we order 1 at a time not a buffet, so long Pepes. read more

My boyfriend and I come here at least twice a week. We get off from work pretty late and it's nice to know that there's a food truck with incredible food late at night. Every time we go there we are satisfied and always willing to come back for more. The staff is friendly and are able to remember our order - well at least mine because I get the same thing every time. I love it here and am going to continue coming here. read more

If you're going to operate a cash only food establishment the food needs to be superb. That is not the case. This place survives strictly on location and people's past memories of what Pepe's use be. If you do decide to eat here, here is some advice. Stay away from the fish tacos! I'm not sure about you, but tough and soggy are not the two adjectives you want to hear when describing fish tacos. The only crispiness you're going to taste in your tacos are from the tortillas. There are plenty of other options for fish tacos around the beach, one being about 100 feet away from this place. Don't be fooled into thinking this place is any good. read more

I ate here 2x and it's enough to say I'll never eat here again. Food taste is good, it's a beach shack taco shop... I'll never eat here again because while I waited in line one day I noticed they were filling salsa cups on a cart. I'll assume they got caught off guard by a rush in the middle of doing so, but the cups ended up sitting there for 20 minutes while the two girls were taking orders and making food. These cups of salsa sat there, several flies where helping themselves to the open cups of salsa. I know I know their just flies, until you think about where they probably were 20 minutes earlier.. cruising around people's backyards, eating the neighborhood dog poop, eating trash, and remember flies land on what they eat. So whatever was on those flies feet is now being stirred into that salsa.. The girls were aware of the flies, they shook their hands at them a few times to shoo them away... covering the cups with plastic wrap was clearly not clicking.. read more
