The chicken cheesesteak is fantastic! At the corner of Paoli Pike and 352. Park in back near the Wawa. They don't take credit cards, so bring some cash to pay. It's not the cheapest place to eat, but we enjoy going and sitting in one of the booths. The service is usually pretty good, sometimes you have to wait quite a while to order. been waiting for a year for a coupon I was promised for a horrible pizza that was barely cooked, and I asked for it well done. Never got it called to give them another chance and was gonna ordered more food but I wanted my free pizza as well since i had to throw out the last one we ordered as a manager of a restaurant I find this in horrible taste if a customer called me stating they never got something I promised i would have gladly honored what we said and also understanding as a manager I wasnt JUST getting the free pizza we were ordering way more food. I have gone to the mill since it opened it has always been good quality but the prices have gotten too high . Maybe it was the person who made my buffalo cheese steak but it was a roll with blue cheese hot sauce and minimal meat for $8.95 I was very disappointed. I used to love Pepper Mill, but my most recent visit may have been my last. The flavor of the pizza steak was good, but there was very little meat; some bites were just roll, no meat. Long wait time for food considering the restaurant was empty except for us, then felt as if we were being rushed out (again, despite empty restaurant). It's been awhile since I've been to Pepper Mill but I was in the mood for a hoagie on the way home and stopped in..first off, they don't have small hoagies only large and it cost over $9 !! The food here is ok, used to be better, but the prices are WAY too expensive..I think it will be a long, long time til I return there..if ever...there's alot more places w/better hoagies/cheese steaks and at better prices. read more

I have eaten at the Pepper Mill before, but always sat down and talked with family while waiting for our food to come out. This time I ordered take out and waited by the chips and drinks. From where I was standing I could see the kitchen and pretty much everything going on there. Only 2 out of the 5 people that were handling food had gloves on. I watched one girl touch her hair, her eyes, her mouth, and even wipe her nose with her index finger and then touch food without washing or putting gloves on. I was about to gag. I watched very carefully to see who was touching my food and made sure she wasn't one of them. I'm glad to say she didn't touch mine at all, but I was still skeeved out by it. I feel bad for people not knowing who is touching their food, but I guess it's like that in any restaurant. We just trust that they follow all code regulations and at least wear gloves and wash their hands...yuck! I also watched them microwave a burger and put chips back on a plate that fell off. It's a shame because the food is okay, but after this experience of seeing what goes on with the food, I won't be back. read more

We ordered two chicken cheese steaks, one with extra cheese and two grilled veggie on focchia with extra cheese and onions. When the food arrived the steaks were not labeled as they NEVER are, so I had to dig through each steak to see which one contained the extra cheese. Pepper Mill is NOTORIOUS for not labeling there sandwiches. The grilled veggie on focchia did not contain extra cheese and onions and we were charged for it!!! When I called the Pepper Mill and spoke with the manager he had an attitude and said that he personally put extra cheese on both of the steaks so he didn't see why I had to dig through each steak to look for the extra cheese. By the way we only asked for extra cheese on one steak not both and there wasn't even extra cheese at all!!! Then he said sorry in a very smug way and did not even offer to credit the other two sandwiches that they messed up on. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN!!!! They never ever label there sandwiches and there food is hit or miss. Sometimes it's awesome and fresh and other times it's just okay. Then the manager had the audacity to have an attitude when he's in the wrong. This is simply about PRINCIPAL and nothing else. read more

Stay away. Place is filthy and staff is incompetent. I walked in for pick-up and immediately saw the 2 wait staff sitting at the counter surfing their phones. A couple was leaving and said the money is on the table. I assume the waitress dropped the check and never came back so the patrons grew tired and just left the money on the table. No excuse for the waitress since there was only 1 other party of 3 in the place. The counter staff was no better. Apparently, the staff has been instructed to not actually engage with the customer when the customer is placing there order. I was met with grunts, never had my order read back to me nor told how long it would be. Let's be honest - the failure of the staff is a direct result of the incompetence of management. If they can't perform the most fundamental managerial task of training and monitoring their staff, I have zero doubt that they are maintaining the hygienic standards of the place. As Anthony Bourdain says, if the public areas like the restaurant floor and bathrooms are dirty (and they are), you can be assured the kitchen is also as dirty. Stay away - this place is a health disaster in the making and does nothing to warrant anyone patronage. read more
