This is another outpost/ franchise of this Delaware brainchild. This is now the closest one to me. The ones in Downingtown and Exton closed probably due to the pandemic (Exton) and high rents they both paid in busy strip malls. The reknowned Bobbie was the reason for my trip. We also got a meatball sandwich and an Italian hoagie. The bread for all the sandwiches was extremely fresh. All the sandwiches were well made and in a timely fashion. You can't beat Capriotti's for specialty turkey hoagies in Southeastern PA. Be sure to try The BOBBIE--a thanksgiving dinner in a hoagie roll! Also great is the Cole-Turkey--fresh-baked turkey and coleslaw in a roll. Capriotti's Downingtown location, ordered delivery today.. get a message it was delivered, it wasn't delivered. So I call the store, 610-222-6655, the young lady who answered says "it is not our problem, it isn't delivered by us, you need to contact the service that picked it up".. no where on capriotti's website does it say they don't deliver or who the delivery service is. We order from this restaurant 2 times per week to the tune of $40.00 plus delivery per order every time. They do not let you know some "nameless " service is picking up and delivering your food.. All the time we have thought they were delivering. Guess you better go in even if you order curbside. Normal quality was good at this place but never going back. Buyer beware if you order curbside and don't go in. Attitude by guy that answers phone is rude. Tells you no to curbside despite it being a clear option in app. Then asked for money when he brought paid order out. Was going to write it off as a bad day or something from the worker but they sabotaged the sandwich. Smallest amount of meat I've ever gotten and no other toppings requested paid for. Eaten here before but quarantining and couldn't go in. Why have it as an option if not available at that location? What is frustrating, went in before (when i didn't have to quarantine) and quality was good. Mega disappointed. Complaining to corporate as I switched to this place as it was high quality and actually did curbside with some sort of customer service before. I went in today bc it was the first day of fall and i needed a "bobby" - with my toddler with me. He was exhausted and losing it while I ordered - which was embarrassing. The staff quickly made my sandwich and I hastily left. When I got in the car, I realized that the staff had thrown a juice box in my bag for my son. I know it's a small gesture, but it really made his (and my) day. I definitely felt like a fellow mom on staff had my back and sorta renewed my faith in humanity a bit. The sandwich was also great. Blessed by the time-fairy to have enough time to actually eat lunch we rushed out of Main Hall at WCU on break, whipped out the iPhone, and instantly went to work on finding a place to eat nearby campus since it being a Sunday, Burrito Loco decided to not be open. As soon as we had scrolled sufficiently it was a unanimous decision to do a sandwich from Capriotti in terms of distance from campus and the name ending in a vowel - that is a gangster you want making your food, like Satriale's in the HBO series The Sopranos - and completely unlike a person named Jimmy John or a franchise called Subway. The big guy (4u) workers are super-friendly and do not get pissed if you are a little indecisive (one out of the large group) or if you ask for weird "do this, but not this" orders (like me.) The food gets prepared quickly, the ingredients are fresh, and the cost is very cheap considering the quality you receive. I ordered the "medium" and that was a monster, really-really-really big sandwich. I went with the eggplant parmesan, my favorite dish on Italian night but I had never incorporated it into a sandwich before. It was incredible. It has changed my life such that I can now finally see the Thestrals - after finding out what a real sandwich is I could let the notion of Subway/Quiznos/Jimmy John's behind. Always very good. Used to work minutes from the original shop in Wilmington in the late 80's early 90's. it was a real treat for the staff. At $9:15 each, a little more turkey may be appropriate. There's apparently a capriotti's that keeps saying they're going to open that's in cranberry Pennsylvania where I live. Keep saying they're going to open January 16th which passed now they say February 16th I've called for catering orders left a message no one got back to me so I called today to get a takeout order and the guy says he can't open his business till February 26. They can't even get their website right how are they going to do any decent food? Stay away from this place I guarantee you they'll be gone within a year. I'd say go to Jersey Mike's or Firehouse subs or even Subway at least they know how to run a business. Cranberry township capriotti's now that the other ones I've been to. Absolutely pathetic. This is a very confusing review for me to write. First of all, the food is absolutely fantastic. The bobbie sandwich is my favorite on the planet. It is flat out amazing and frankly all the food in here is just so good. Now the bad. It's just poorly run. Last time I was in there they were out if rills (yes a sandwich shop out of rolls). Capriottis Royersford. I heard so much about this place and the Wagyu steak sandwich. First impression, average looking steak sandwich. Initial bite i was shocked as to how salty it was. No exceptional flavor and for the quality it was extremely overpriced. Extremely overpriced. Ordered with American cheese, onions and mushrooms. My wife tried the other half and could only take one bite and spit it out for the extreme salty taste. You'd think someone sabotaged the sandwich. In short I ate 1/4 of the sandwich and gave the rest to my dog. If that's the best that they have I shudder to think what the rest of their menu tastes like. What a shame after all the hype. A great sandwich shop with consistently good sandwiches. If you've never had it, try the Bobbie. It's Thanksgiving in a sandwich. I much prefer a warm version of this type of sandwich, but their cold version is pretty good. Their cheesesteaks are good too. Definitely not the best cheesesteak in the area, but with extra onions and cheese (American) it hit the spot. Would be great if they had more cheese options (like cheddar or whiz for cheesesteaks.) There's really nowhere to sit to eat your sandwich though. Even a few small tables or a counter would be nice if you're out running errands and want to grab lunch. I've been eating sandwiches at this Capriotti's since 1998 on a bi-weekly basis and I sincerely believe they have the best sandwiches in the West Chester (if not Chester County) area. Their ingredients are quality, the bread is the local favorite Amoroso's and they don't scrimp on the fillings. But above and beyond these sandwich basics, Cap's brings something special to the table - great signature sandwiches. Their flagship sandwich is the "Bobbie" - Roasted Turkey, Stuffing, Cranberry and Mayo. Yes, it's basically Thanksgiving on a long roll and it is phenomenal. Another of my favorites is the "Cole-Turkey" - Turkey, Cole Slaw, Provolone, Mayo and Russian Dressing. There's also the Capastrami, the Slaw-Be-Jo, and the Cran-Slam Club. I've tried all of them and liked every one - I even bought an assortment for a staff lunch and everyone loved them! They carry a line of tasty Vegetarian Turkey that can be used for any kind of Turkey sub you can dream up (I like the Veggie Cole Turkey, m'self), and they also have veggie Burgers, Dogs, and Eggplant Parms. They used to have a kick-ass vegetarian Cheese-Steak that rocked my world (and that of my wife and several friends), but they discontinued it and even though it's listed on their web menu, they claim it won't be back. Message to Cap's in West Chester: BRING BACK THE VEGGIE CHEESE STEAK! My only real gripe is that they tend to run out of rolls (on Thursday nights, if I'm not mistaken). This really chafes me because, um, they're a sandwich shop and I WANT MY CAPS. I understand the need to optimize your stock but come on - a sandwich shop running out of rolls? That's crazy! I was visiting some family in PA and was introduced to "The Bobby" sandwich by a local. OMG is all I have to say. I swear, this is the best damn sandwich I have ever had. The mix of the turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce is out of this world..and the bread they use just tops it off. I have found myself dreaming about this sandwich. My mom recently made a trip back to PA and my only request was for her to bring me back one of these sandwiches. They were so kind to pack each ingredient up separately for her to take on the plane. Can someone please open a Capriotti's franchise in Philadelphia. Pretty please. One time my friends and I were hanging out in their South Philadelphia home after a heavy night of drinking, most of us with wicked hangovers and hunger pangs. Someone dared to mention the word Capriotti's along with the words veggie turkey hoagies and that was it, nothing else was going to do. We all piled into the car and drove to West Chester to obtain our craving. After we got them we realized we wanted to eat them immediately (take out only ladies and gents) so our friend Caroline called some of her West Chester friends to see if we could come to their house and eat our hoagies. None of us besides Caroline knew these people but without shame we entered their house and scarfed our hoagies with little conversation and then left a few minutes later. Awkward, but totally worth it. I make it a point to go to Capriotti's whenever I'm even remotely close. The reason for my passion is the veggie turkey (available on a variety of hoagie choices) but they have regular meat hoagies too if you're into that sort of thing. The large hoagies are as big as your arm so you can totally share one with someone you love. They also sell chips (including my favorite Cape Cod brand) and drinks. They're located in a tiny strip mall next to a health food store so you can do some health food shopping while you wait for your sandwich. Man, now I want one. Good thing it's 11:35 at night or I might just have to make that drive to West Chester. read more

Ordered chicken cheese steak sandwiches on Monday evening, Feb 14th. They were supposed to have mushrooms, onions and provolone cheese per the description on their menu. We got plain, dry chicken period. There was at least 2 inches at the top and bottom roll with no meat at all. So disappointing as we had previously ordered cold hoagies from them and were happy. I frequented this place all the time when I lived in the area. Unfortunately, the nearest one is an hour away from me now. My item of choice was the Italian sandwich. I'd often pick up a small for lunch and have enough left over for a snack later in the day. Not bad for a $6.99 sandwich. The bobby is a close second- basically a Thanksgiving-themed sandwich, containing turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce.
