HELLOOOO!! Just came to peppers for my friend's birthday and had the seafood burrito. It was FANTASTIC!! I will absolutely be getting this again. I feel like i need to come back tomorrow and get it again. I also got the fries cheesecake and that was incredible as well. Best Mexican here in Gainesville!!

It was a pleasure to eat at Pepper's this afternoon. The restaurant has a quiet atmosphere for lunch and is clean. Our waitress was helpful too. My favorite part of our meal were the chips and salsa. The salsa has a nice kick to it. Melted queso is available upon request if spice isn't your thing. I ordered the wet burrito. The taste was nice, but be aware that you need to ask for the rice and beans if you want it on the side. Overall I would recommend this restaurant, and I look forward to visiting again.

Great service and ambiance! The new location near butler plaza is a vibe too! The chicken tacos weren't the best I've ever had but good! Quesadillas amazing tho! Margs too good esp awesome with 2-4-1 deal!

Yummo!! We had a stop over in G-ville Fl., and saw this place, tucked seat, of the main rd. Cozy ambiance, clean, and colorful decor. We had the shredded beef tacos plate and fish (pescadaro) taco plate. They were great! Seasoned well, hot, served with a genuine smile. And the bigo frozen margaritas were excellent. Refreshingly not too heavy, yet right on point in taste and balance. Great job Peppers :D

The food here is amazing. And they're buying get 1 Margarita's are 2nd to none here in town.Their seasoning on the chicken is just right.and their rice and beans is amazing the Staff is right there if you need anything. There are a lot of Mexican restaurants in Gainesville, but this 1 is 1 you will not want to miss.

Peppers has become our Friday favorite. The Mexican food is SO good... but wait, there's more. The margaritas are the best I've ever had- they come as great BOGO deal from 3-5 (the cherry on top) Sitting at the bar is our favorite, they have two nice sized televisions with the latest sports on. The staff is super friendly and attentive.

Peppers is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Gainesville. They are constantly adding new items to their menu and revamping the place, keeping it fresh and clean always. Their servers are lovely and accommodating. I feel that they use high quality ingredients which makes a big difference. Their food is pretty consistent, every once and a while something will be off but I do go there more than the average person so whenever something is wrong, if ever, they will fix it right away. I like their 2 for 1 margs way better than las margs. They have an amazing mango margarita for some extra flavor. Among the years I've tried to brand out and try some new things on their menu. A few of my favorites are the quesadilla, Popeye, vegetarian burrito, carnitas sandwich, steak and shrimp street tacos and their flaming queso. Yum! I've made myself hungry again writing this!

Pick your side correctly, one has filling. Torta poor construction at Peppers Mexican Grill

They got the Bar down - or they call it a Cantina. This place would just be a good bar that serves Mexican food. For those who just need a drink, the Bar looked nice, well-kept, and seemed like a good selection of spirits. Bar Deals are every day 2 for 1 house drinks. But, we came for the food. This was our first experience at this Mexican Restaurant. We went here about 8pm on a Wednesday, seemed decently busy, but not packed. The overall ambiance had the immediate visual potential to be really good; plenty of options on the menu. Queso and chips were traditional and seemed the same as any other places, good though. Let's get to the food: The menu pictures are fun and appetizing. The food was tasty and overall hard to mess up. Sadly underwhelmed. I got a Torta with braised meat. Let me start by saying, Torta construction must be very challenging. This torta was definitely a knife and fork style sandwich; very messy. Pick your side of the sandwich correctly, it comes uneven with item distribution and weight. Whatever you do, don't pick up the torta. Actually, do better, it's just a torta - try to make it look like your pictures. On the other hand, The Shrimp chimichanga leaves you wondering if it's the kid's portion. Cutely nestled in the middle of a pico de gallo, refried bean, rice, guacamole, and sour cream, you will find a chimichanga. It is full of delicious shrimp, but not sure if 7-9 shrimp is a suited dinner portion for this dish. 3 Stars... Meh, mediocre Mexican at Peppers Mexican Grill... standard food with 100% forgettable service.

It is not my first time eating there, rather it is my third time. It has always been very good, but this time the waitress was not very friendly. We were a group of 7. And the food arrived on time and hot, no complaints left about the food, it was delicious. The truth is that I would return again, but with another waitress.

Love everything about this place! The service, the food, the ambiance, the 2 for one margaritas in every flavor. Will definitely be coming back!! Thank you to Maria who was our amazing server!

Empty plates because the food so good, we couldn't stop eating!!!

The event said no reservations needed, so we showed up not realizing how popular it would be. The place was PACKED with a line out the door! Even so, we only waited about 25 minutes for a table on Valentine's Day, which honestly wasn't bad at all considering the crowd. We went specifically for their Valentine's special: 2 margaritas, fajitas for two, and dessert, such a great deal! The margaritas were delicious. We ordered the Rita sampler and the blueberry margarita tasted like blueberry pie, so fresh, organic, and absolutely yummy. We also ordered homemade guacamole, which was delectable, paired with fresh, crispy homemade chips. Our fajitas included steak, pork, chicken, and shrimp, and everything was cooked to perfection. The flavors were incredible!!! And can we talk about the restaurant itself? It's HUGE! It felt like one of those multi-level Times Square NYC restaurants, with multiple floors and even outside patio seating. It was like a magic trick walking through it! Our waitress, Lia, was fantastic, attentive, helpful, and so sweet despite how busy it was. The staff worked incredibly hard all night and it showed. Plentiful parking, amazing food, great atmosphere. We will definitely be back to this hidden gem we didn't even know existed in town. Thank you for making our Valentine's Day special after a long day of yard work

On the plus side, we tried the chips and guacamole, and they were really good--fresh, flavorful, and a great snack to share. Overall, it's a good spot if you're looking for a social, energetic atmosphere, but the drinks didn't quite hit the mark for me. Might give it another try for the food or a different cocktail.

Our server was Brandon, who was an absolute delight! He was so energetic, so friendly, and gave great suggestions. We started with drinks. I had a skinny margarita and my husband had a Frida (top shelf margarita) and our son had a Coke. First thing we ordered was the chips and salsa. The chips were perfect, not too thin and not too thick. They came with two salsas. Both were tasty. Not sure if there is a spicier option but we will check next time. I ordered the Birria tacos. They were so delicious! So much flavor! The avocado tomatillo salsa was perfect with it. My husband ordered the Al Pastor tacos. It was very traditional Al pastor. He loved the black beans. His words were " these are the best black beans I have ever had!" Our son ordered the chorizo tacos. First, I have never seen chorizo tacos offered in a Mexican restaurant. Secondly, they were amazing! To finish, I ordered the banana pudding and our son ordered the churro sundae. Both desserts were delicious. The portions were huge! All in all I say Nopal is quite the gem. Perfect portions and dishes that are packed with flavor. And service that goes above and beyond. We can't wait to go back. We will ask for Brandon!!!

I had the Jose Cuervo margarita, which was fine for 8 dollars. Not as strong as some other restaurants in Orlando, but not going to complain for 8 bucks. The scallop quesadilla was decently sized for one person. It had a fair amount of bay scallops, peppers, onions, and tomatoes. The sauce was pretty good too, and adding hot sauce helped with the heat. The guacamole salad was enjoyable too, but the as sour cream tasted standard. For 15 dollars, the scallop quesadilla was worth it! For dessert, the chocolate cake flan was alright for 8 dollars. It was a bit rich and I couldn't finish it all, but it was a sweet enough to enjoy. The service was pretty fast. My food and drink came pretty quickly. My server was friendly and very good. She checked up on me a couple times. The atmosphere is the same as last time, but a lot less crowded. It was pretty quiet for a Saturday, but at least there was some music in the background. Of course, if you saw the photos from last time, you knew what I did before I left. For the price paid, I still think it's a good Mexican restaurant. I know there are better ones nearby, but the atmosphere is still enjoyable. I will try some other Mexican restaurants next time, but I can still recommend Las Margaritas for decent Mexican food in Gainesville. Overall: B
