It was not good. I ha d a pastrami burger and the UFO's which are basically loaded onion rings, cheese, bacon and a special sauce. The burger was just ok, pastrami tasted funky so I removed it. The onion rings I paid 10 bucks for were gross. About 6 onion rings in the bottom of a large styrofoam box with canned nacho cheese sauce on them which made them a soggy mess, no bacon and what seemed to be a couple dashes of Tabasco. Not good. It's a popular place in this small town, but it's well worth the wait. Food is great, staff was great, and it was nice and easy. First off - the food is great. The menu is huge and so far everything we've tried has been fantastic. They are open during the week - but sadly not over the weekend. Apparently, everyone within 100 miles knows how good they are, so it can take a long time to get your order over lunch time - so you just need to plan or call ahead. Everything is made to order - so you can taste that it hasn't been sitting under a hot lamp for hours - but it also means that you will need patience if you show up and order at the window. The only downside - is that they do have one staff member (working the window taking the orders) who always lets you know that you are a massive inconvenience to her day. We've turned it into a game to guess how tetchy she'll be when we stop in. Make lemonade. But overall - this is a DO NOT MISS. It's worth the drive and the wait. read more

My boyfriend and I were driving to Reno for our friend's white coat ceremony. Of course, we had to make some stops for gas and bathroom breaks and we stumbled upon this little town. Aside from Peppers Place, there was a McDonalds, some type of Asian food, and something that looked like a sit down restaurant. After looking at the reviews, we decided to go with Pepper's. We ordered at the front, and they call your name over the loud speakers when your order is ready. It took a little while, but it seemed like a mom & pop shop, so it's understandable. One of the best cafe you can find in Hawthorne,NV. My husband and I will definitely buy our lunch on every Tue when we are at Hawthorne, NV. All the foods on the menu are delicious. I recommend Pilly steak sandwich with Mushroom and cheese and Pastrami burger. Try it if you ever find yourself in Hawthorne, NV. You will not regret it. I understand there is a pandemic and you have a right to close your restrooms for employee use only. How hard would it be to place a sign on the restroom door that your restrooms are closed to customers. The only sign posted stated that the restrooms are for customer use only and are locked. The sandwich wasn't bad. But when we finished eating outside with a handicapped person at our table, I went to the window to ask for the restroom key, and you said they are closed, but there's a restroom you can use somewhere across the street. Handicapped accessible? We stopped because you had good food reviews and a restroom very near the handicapped parking space. So for your honesty in allowing customers to believe you had a restroom available to your customers, we give you 1-star. I would ask that you please post a very clear sign on those doors that they are CLOSED TO CUSTOMERS! read more

The food here was fantastic!! I got the Bomber sandwich and it was sooooo good. The Alien Fries were out of this world. My boyfriend got the do le cheeseburger and it was yummy. Our friends got the jalapeño burger and said it was tasty. A we all shared the spuds and they were good but my only qualm is that the nacho cheese on the fries were cold.
