    Martini with a side car
    Jim G.

Why come to Bay Street? Get the HUGE martini book and start drinking! Some of the martinis come in a large martini glass, but the more classic martinis come in a smaller glass with a side car to keep it cool. Haven't seen that for years but a nice touch. The food is solid, nothing mind blowing, but good portions for the price since they come with salad, bread, and the sides. I enjoyed the pork chop more than the fillet. Though the best thing was the scallop. Going back in couple days, hope everyone recovered from the big birthday bash!

We planned ahead and called for reservations and I'm glad that we did! It was busy! From the start, our service was friendly and welcoming, the waitress and bar staff were both attentive and professional. Our drinks were well made, and if we weren't driving we certainly would have taken better advantage of their large martini list. *I'll take this opportunity to point out the elephant in the room, the decor. Historic hotel meets Florida kitsch. You will see. The menu itself is limited, but the specials added variety. We loved the lobster soup of the day. Pairing that with bread and large salads with homemade dressing made for a great starter. We followed with well prepared steaks for our dinner, but weren't able to choose our sides- I would have preferred to. In any case, decorating aside, I would recommend stopping in if you're in the area. Food is good and that's what's important

Appetizer- fresh roasted garlic bulb served over spinach

A hidden gem at Sodus Point! We indulged in some amazing food in a friendly environment after a day on the boat. We've driven by for years & so happy we stopped today. I made a last minute reservation and highly suggest to call for a reservation. Limited hours so call ahead. My husband enjoyed the soup special, oyster soup. We split the fresh roasted garlic bulb appetizer served over spinach. The swordfish seafood special for the day was amazing. Main entree came with a house salad. I enjoyed the best crumbly blue dressing on my house salad. The staff is warm, welcoming, personable & very attentive. The quality of food and exceptional service certainly matched the price. We'll definitely be back! And, will try a martini upon our return. They have a nine page martini menu! Make a reservation and enjoy.

One thing that would make this place improved would be adding to open table or another online reservation site. I tried for hours, calling to make a reservation and got a constant busy signal. When another member of our party tried and got through, we were told 8:30 was only reservation. Disappointing!

I have been here a few times, never for dinner but always for a GREAT drink. They never disappoint here. If you want a quality drink, you will NOT be disappointed here! Bartenders are great and drinks were fantastic! Photo shows the espresso martini and the "mounds" martini.

I have never dealt with anything like that before it was just a complete mess in there.. with that being said the service was great. Our server was absolutely on top of all of that mess and dealt with it I think really good!! We got our food in a timely manner! And it was actually really good food the fish was amazing and was cooked perfectly! I think the fries definitely need a lot of work, cmon French fries! Especially in upstate where the fish fries are good! You need good fries The inside ambience was kind of usual upstate new work wood work cute interior it was cute inside! What made my review stars go up is the bartender Claire that worked upstairs, she was so on top everything regardless of how busy it was, she literally had it down to a T she was quick and personable and just got the job done right by far the best employee I came across there she rocked and got the job done right! Amazing bartender! I think I would have left 1 star if I wasn't for Claire and her service she absolutely rocked

Lauren was our server and was super friendly, though she was apparently new-ish, which showed in some of our orders not being quite right. Everything was also pretty slow and the timing of dishes coming out wasn't uniform. Pizza was fine, but could've been hotter and a bit more crisp on the crust. Wings were good, but not the type we ordered. The half order of nachos was crazy big and just ok, flavor-wise. With limited options at the point, it's fine, but temper your expectations.

The restaurant is known for its wood-fired menu that blends American cuisine with creative twists and influences. My wife and I live somewhat close to Sodus Point and had been meaning to go out to take a little day trip. Her co-workers actually gave her a gift card for Six50, so we decided it'd be a perfect opportunity to go out for a nice day and try out the restaurant. The reviews were concerning, but hey, we weren't paying for it anyway. We ended up there around 1PM on a Saturday. Sodus Point is very much a touristy-beach-boat town, the streets are lined with restaurants and historical landmarks while the beach and bay surrounds the little village. While there were plenty of people around, there was still plenty of close, open, free parking on the streets, and we were able to park only a couple minute walk from the restaurant. There were only a couple occupied tables and we were sat pretty immediately at an outside table when we walked in, although we were told we'd have to wait a couple minutes until our server got back to the restaurant, but we didn't ask exactly what that meant. When our server did show, which wasn't long after, we already had our order decided. One of Six50s things is that everything is wood fired and there are no deep fryers at the restaurant - they even have a sign out front saying so - so we chose an order of their wood fired chicken wings in their "dynamic duo" sauce, a combination of buffalo and garlic parmesan. My wife ordered a Mount Vesuvius pizza, while I chose the Adriano pizza. Our wings came out first relatively quickly, and while they were cooked very well, the sauce had 0 flavor. Most of it slipped right off the wings onto the plate, but even when we rolled them around, the flavor just wasn't there. They say everything including their sauces are home made, so while the wing sauce wasn't great, we did enjoy their (assuming) home made bleu cheese. We waited for a long time for our pizzas, around another 40 minutes AFTER we received our wings. At a busy restaurant, wouldn't have thought anything of it, but there were maybe 3 other tables sat with us in the restaurant, so it seemed like a long time. The pizzas were surprisingly not bad - we felt they had both pros and cons. The pros being there were plenty of toppings, good flavor, and one pizza is probably enough for 2 people. The cons being, while there were plenty of toppings, there was very little cheese. That, and both my wife and I had slices that were completely burned from the wood fire, and didn't even have any toppings on them anymore. Our server was friendly and attentive when we needed it. We had a $65 gift card and only owed $5 after it for 2 pizzas, an order of wings, and a fancy drink for my wife, and we brought home pretty much an entire third pizza form the left overs, so not a bad value. My only other complaints were that there was a broken lock on the one person men's room door, which they were aware of because they had a sign on it saying to please knock first, and while there's beautiful views on the outside patio of the bay, it'd be a much nicer experience out there if they cleaned it. The barrier that's up between the tables and the bay was just absolutely COVERED in cobwebs, as were the string of lights they had hung overhead. Overall, it was not as bad as the other reviews had me believing it would be, but it also didn't impress us either. It was an edible, mostly enjoyable meal, but nothing that really stood out and makes me want to return.
