Homemade sauce and meatballs over linguine

Great find for us on New Year's Eve! My wife and I found our plans changing and decided to just do an early NYE dinner close to home. I'd driven by Gia's recently and the combination of curiosity and availability (around 5 pm) made them an excellent choice... But the excellence didn't stop there! The dining area is small but very neat and clean and the tables aren't pushed together so closely that you can sample your neighbor's food. Nice decor but not fancy. Our server was a delight! She chatted with us and made suggestions but was never overbearing. Both she and the owner checked on us several times but we're in no way intrusive. Perfect balance of great service. The food (limited holiday menu) was great! Homemade bread, meatballs and sauce... Absolutely delicious... Preceded by a fresh salad with house made Italian dressing. Everything was just right. Very definitely recommend that you give this casual little restaurant a try. They do it better than many of the fancier Italian restaurants in the area. Can't wait to try out their regular menu

    Chicken French over escarole

The food was good, two if us had the fettuccine Alfredo, rich sauce that tasted of heavy cream, I added a lot if Parmesean, red pepper flakes and black pepper, mine also had artichoke hearts which was a nice addition. Two of us ordered chicken French which was tender and well sauced. Our starter salads were fresh and their house made dressing was delicious. The warm bread in the beginning is a welcome home felt gesture. Fried dough with salted caramel sauce was dessert and enjoyed by all. The service was attentive and friendly

Spent Valentine's Day evening at Gia's and had a great time. The dining area was busy and we were lucky to get a reservation as we called same day. While things were busy we did not have to wait too long for service. Once again the owner made sure to stop over at our table multiple times to ask us how we enjoyed our food. This made us feel at home and welcomed. The restaurant was cozy with two TVs displaying a digital fireplace. Created a nice romantic ambiance. Nothing but good things to say about our food. The small pizza we ordered as an appetizer was the perfect crisp texture. We enjoyed the warm bread provided with our meals. I had chicken French and vodka sauce again. The vodka sauce with the entree is a 4 dollar up charge. The portion size given is quite large, which makes the cost worth it to me. I had a decent amount left to take home and got two meals out of our visit. After two visits, I can say this is one of my favorite new restaurants in East Rochester. Delicious food and a warm welcoming vibe, love it at Gia's.

Amazing pizza! I had thin crust a month ago....was not disappointed! Today, I ordered the pan pizza to go with cup and char pepperoni, mushrooms and onions -Delizioso! Super cute inside and all very welcoming, too!.

We came for the pizza and wings but ordered more. The location has been my restaurants Pasgetti's, JB Smokehouse and couple others after. Upon arrival we were promptly greeted and seated warmly and with smiles. Our server Sara was excellent. To start, we ordered the greens and beans appetizer, the chicken soup and a house salad. The greens and beans were excellent, tender escarole in a lovely broth with a hint of garlic. The "chicken soup" was sort of Italian wedding soup with pastina and was served HOT and had a nice depth of flavor that tasted homemade with large chucks of chicken. The house salad was good with fresh ingredients with ranch dressing. We did not try the homemade Italian dressing. The small pizzas were perfectly cooked. We had The Spicy Rita and my wife did a "build your own". Both pizzas had a nice lightly crunchy crust with some corn meal. The sauce and toppings were perfect. I love cup 'n char pepperoni. We ordered the buffalo garlic parm wings, which were cooked to a nice crispy crunch, the sauce was great but I personally would have liked a little more "buffalo" flavor. Excellent service with great food served promptly. Looking forward to trying some of their entrees and desserts which looked damn delicious as they were served to other guests.

    Chicken Parmesan

The menu was fantastic! We came here because of the high ratings and Gia's didn't disappoint! Chicken Parmesan was a 10. The Alfredo was spot on!

    Tripe. Italian style.

We were recently dog sitting nearby Pizza Chef's Perinton location, and were recommended to go here…read morefor pizza and subs. Specifically, we were told to either get their turkey sub, made with fresh-roasted-in-house turkey and their delicious bread, OR the taco pizza. We couldn't decide so we got both, figuring we could always eat left overs. The time of our order was peak lunch time rush, and it took about 30 min to get our food. We saw them making the pizza and subs fresh, and we also observed a lot of other diners, some regulars, enjoying their food and the conversation with the staff. Everyone was friendly and happy. We took our order back to where we were staying and dug into the pizza. It was a little salty for my personal taste buds, but not my husband's - he really loved the flavors. I was impressed with the crust - which is always a mark of a good pizza in my book. I would get this again, but would ask for something like a side of ranch or blue cheese to help cut the saltiness. Later that same day we ate the subs. The turkey sub was easily - seriously - the BEST turkey sub I had had in a very long time. Maybe ever. The fresh-roasted turkey, the fresh fillings - lettuce, tomato, cheese, onion, and the Italian dressing - all were the perfect flavor profiles and amounts. The whole sammy was well balanced, so no one ingredient dominated. We had ordered a large, again, with left overs in mind, and cut it into pieces. I added mayo, and just thought it was moist, really tasty, and total comfort food. I would drive across the city to get that sub again. Pictured here is the pizza; by the time we at the subs I forgot to take more pics! Couple other notes: Pizza Chef is in a plaza where there is plenty of parking. They sell soda in a case as well as ice cream, and have quite a large menu that includes wraps, sandwiches and subs (hot and cold), lots of different signature pizzas plus a breakfast pizza and options to build-your-own, plus a variety of fried sides like fries, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, jalapeno poppers, etc. They also have wings and salads. Definitely check them out if you haven't already. And get that turkey sub. You won't regret it!

I originally thought they sold slices, but that's just a lunchtime option. Honestly, I wasn't disappointed at all to order a whole pizza instead! We got a half cheese / half sausage, mushroom, and olive. It came out hot and ready in under 10 minutes and was served right at our table. The toppings were generous, and we ate almost the entire thing. My son loved picking out a bag of Ruffles to go with his slices, and it was great that they had cold drinks on-site too. Looking around, it was clear that there are a lot of regulars including families. The people who work here clearly care about their customers, which makes for such a great atmosphere. When I tried to tip at the counter, the cashier politely declined and simply asked me to come back again. Since the table was serviced, I left a tip there. I was truly grateful for and impressed by their hospitality. Pro tip: they're cash only, so make sure to have some on hand. I'll definitely be back again!

It's a true grab-and-go setup -- no real seating beyond a small high-top, and most people seemed to be taking their food to-go. The vibe is relaxed and unfussy. Service stood out. The man taking orders was very friendly and accommodating, and he let us know fresh pies were about to come out so we could wait for hot slices -- which we appreciated. I ordered the Rosa with pepperoni (they also offer it without) and the Buffalina. Both were very good, especially fresh out of the oven. Nice bonus: buy two slices and you get a free can of soda. Simple, solid pizza and great service. I'd definitely come back.

Louis was very helpful, explaining the menu and specials since it was my first visit. I decided to try the Detroit-style white top with Mike's honey drizzle and a pineapple Jarritos. While waiting, I sat on a few chairs outside in front of the garage. It took about 15 minutes, and my pizza was piping hot. My ricotta melted due to the steam, but it was still very good! The portion was generous, I could only finish one slice and took the rest to go. It's not a sit-down restaurant, it's perfect to take to-go; however, there is a table that you could stand and eat at, if you needed to. The decor was also nice and bright, with a unique twist with decor. Louis also mentioned they source most ingredients locally, which is noticeable in the freshness of every bite. He was kind enough to offer me a New York-style cheese slice, which was also delicious! While a little pricey, the quality justifies the price. I can't wait to return! If you're in the area, definitely check them out!
